Omake: What if... 30k: False chargen and turn 1

When you were a child, your father sang you the song of peace.

But in the grim darkness of the 31st Millennium, the War has just begun.

The age of strife is coming to an end, the warp storms that dominated the galaxy went quiet with one final birthing scream of the newest tumour of the former Sea of Souls. Slaneash, the Dark Prince, the Prince of Pleasure, the Lord of Excess, the Perfect Prince, the Prince of Chaos and the She/He/ Who Thirsts. With their birth the Eldar Pantheon after long aeons went quiet, well mostly if one listens carefully enough, they can hear the faint weeping, scheming giggle and thousands of tiny screams.

But this is not the tell of Eldar, this is your tale, oh firstborn of Anathema, who returns just in time to join your father's Great Crusade and lead your newly created siblings in the reunification of Humanity and safeguard it from harm.

A noble goal, but the father you knew is gone, changed by the Age of Strife. Your newest siblings are not his children but his tools... and so are you. In the end none of this matters, you have your duty to humanity and for now, your goals are aligned.

In the grim darkness of the 31st Millennium, in the wake of the Fall of Eldar and the return of the possibility to travel from the Bad to the Worse part of the Galaxy, you must now serve as Imperial Warmaster.

Note: This omake will copy the choices of the ancient Plan: "In The Grim Dark Future, There Is Only Madoka" when possible, copying the text of said choice to refresh the readers' memory, but not the choices not chosen as to not falsely inflate the word count.

Your History

The man who would become the God-Emperor of Mankind was not always as he is now. He was once but a man, despite the mantle destiny saw fit to grant him. For all his inestimable genius and psychic might, he was but a man. He loved, he lost, and he sought to leave his mark.

You are one of them, a child of the Emperor. Likely the oldest surviving one, at that. Born in the Twenty-First Century - what the newly created Imperium would know as the early days of the Third Millennium - you were witness to the dawn of mankind's foray into the stars, an age of progress and enlightenment entirely divorced from the harsh reality of hell left in aftermath of Age of Strife.

Even amongst his children, you are exceptional, for you have inherited his immortality. Yet, your interactions with history - the history that the Imperium recalls, at least - are less than nil.

Why, then, have you been so absent?
Thirty thousand years is a long time by any sane metric...
[F][HISTORY] You developed your gifts at an extremely young age, called upon to defend your home from the predators that lurked beyond the realm of dreams. You fought, you struggled, and you prevailed, but at great cost; decoupled from reality, even your godlike father forgot you had ever existed. Adrift in the Warp and cursed to only observe from beyond, it would take millennia before you could be saved from ontological irrelevance, and by then, so much has changed.

[HISTORY] Write-in based on who was created after the quest started:
You were a prisoner in the palace of your birthplace. The Eldar Dominion, the supposed kingdom of your mother, the Everqueen. By the time of your birth, it was already doomed to fall, yet you did all could to help reform it and when you realised that it was too little too late you decided to save who you could. You were one of the first to call for evacuation and you were the last to leave... and survive.

Your Virtue

Your father was a font of wisdom, world-wise and brilliant. He was an old soul by the time you were born - though you did not realise how old until much later - and he had learned much in his time. You were fortunate enough to have been taught these lessons, and have held one of them dear to your heart as your guiding principle ever since.

What, then, did you learn from the Emperor of Man, when he was still a common man?

What have you held dear, that mankind has forgotten...?
[F][VIRTUE] You learned Compassion because no one deserves to suffer alone.

Your Gift

Your father is the most powerful mortal psyker ever born, a god in being even in the days when he walked as a man. You, his child, have opened to you a path to unprecedented power. But with power comes attention, and though you have inherited an echo of the Anathema's defiance, it is only an echo. You cannot defy the Gods in the same way, no matter the power you wield. But even a trickle can wear down a mountain, with time.

Can you truly succeed the God-Emperor with power alone? Or is power the marker of a true successor?
[F][POWER] You are an Alpha Plus-Level Psyker, one of a handful mankind has ever produced, naturally or otherwise. You are capable of standing on the same stage as your father, almost akin to a god in the flesh. But while the power you wield allows you to match even the greatest servants of the Chaos Gods, you will forever be a target for the sacrilege of your existence. Not that it's anything new.

Ah, but you are no mere Daemon, no true creature of the Warp. Your power is nothing without the means to control it, and as a Scion of the Anathema your control is finer than the majority of mankind. So you have honed your art over the years, refining one aspect to the utmost, not for survival or a lust for power, but for the simple joy of mastering something unique to you. A joy that has long been denied by the Dark Gods.

To what end do you wield the light of your soul?
[F][DISCIPLINE] You are a Diviner, master of sight and prophecy. The eddies of fate are yours to read, for everything has been written into the stars before.
Possible Specialist Disciplines: Astrology, Librarius, Eldar Runes of Fate

Your Legend

You are more than your father's reluctant heir. You made your own way in the galaxy, honing your craft and rediscovering the secrets of the stars. Whether by the starlight of empyreal dawn, your journeys taught you valuable skills and brought you valuable insights into lore not known to most or even the gifted. Insights that you now bring to your new role as Warmaster.

What knowledge do you hold that paints a target on your back? What could be your salvation?
[F][SPECIAL] The Gods have been around since before you were ever born, perversions of the natures that underpin existence who claim to predate all things. Your father opposed them from the moment of his inception and is even now spoken of by daemons as the hateful, frightful Anathema. You walk in his footsteps, the enemy of the daemonic in all ways.

You possess a fraction of the Emperor's purifying essence, making you even more potent against daemonic threats. You also inherited his hatred of the Chaos Gods, and your knowledge of combating the daemonic is unsurpassed in all the Imperium, likely exceeding even the vaunted Grey Knights. But the line between opposition and acquisition is bare indeed, and not all can be trusted with your secrets.

Your Guide Aduitant

Your arrival into the 31st Millennium was sudden, but you did not remain alone for long. Though this era is strange and concerning to you and your sensibilities, you are not doomed to flailing aimlessly at the new wartorn state of the galaxy. You have an ally in this age, someone who will stand by you through thick and thin. One who has encouraged your journey, and who will stand by you even after your ascension to the head of Imperial High Command as Warmaster.

Note: This will be controversial and new because all canon guides either are busy or wouldn't help you as Warmaster, but I have some... ideas.
Who will be your right hand through these turbulent times? Who will watch your back?
[][ADUITANT] An ancient Eldar biomancer who is somehow tolerated by your father. The fact that she can use her psychic power to look human certainly helps. She is wise and humble . . . too humble, her biomatic prowess is beyond compare and yet she sees herself as a failure who should have died with Eldar Dominion. She follows you to help you as she wishes others helped her. Your ally is pitiful, yet you shall pity those who underestimate her. She has a lot to teach you but first, you need to teach her to live again.
[][ADUITANT] Last of the line of governors of the sector which survived the age of strife, she and her family weathered the storms thanks to luck, diplomacy and being a backwater of the former Federation. She was raised since birth as a backup in case her older sibling dies before they inherit the job. Thankfully your timely intervention prevented the demise of her family just at the finish line, you refused the titles, but with the line of success secured and lifting of the state of emergency after a long 5 thousand years, she decided to follow you until she breathed her last breath. Not a military mind, but she can talk the talk and keep the books straight.
[][ADUITANT] A man of metal, not flesh, the last uncorrupted Man of Iron. You couldn't believe it when you found their body in the bunker behind the rouble on some forgotten asteroid, not even a moon! They lost much of the knowledge of the Golden Age, but they remember more than most. They as child of mankind see service to you as the best way to redeem the sins of corrupted children.
[][ADUITANT] A spirit who you found during your excursion into the Warp, himself on the brink of oblivion or worse. An honest soul, well-acquainted in the nature of survival and the leading smaller force to victory against the superior enemy as well as a great deal of galactic fauna, in the short time you've spent together he's struck a strong rapport with you. He does not remember why he knows such things, but he shares them with you freely, because it is the right thing to do. Truthfully, he's a steady friend in these dark times, yet you feel that he has regrets and a goal that he forgot. For now, you can only hope to return the favour in the future.
[][ADUITANT] A daring adventurer, a rare few left their planets during the Long night, and he is one of them. An older man who travelled through the worst warp storms, rediscovered dozens of worlds and whose luck would have run out if not for your timely intervention. He is skilled in making first contact with people who have forgotten that their ancestors sailed between the stars and has a knack for determining where and how many worlds are around a given planet based on its state and lack of resources.
[][ADUITANT] Not a general, not even a commissioned officer, but still one of the greatest of immortal humans not directly related to your father. A veteran of Iron Wars and thousands of conflicts of long nights. An honourable man who will see that your soldiers are on the level of veterans just after exiting basic training.

Your destiny
By a twist of fate and your father's will, you now serve as the Warmaster. Your presence as the right hand of the Father was heralded by his own words, making your identity undeniable. When and where did your father find you?
[Note: Another difference to canon, with the general state of the galaxy you would have time to do something before the emperor finds you, to be precise he will find you at the end of false turn 5 which would be year 799, unless you meet him half way]
Where are you? Why do you care? Why now?
[][POWER BASE] Your office on Cadia, your journey started on Cadia the planet at the gates of hell, you could just leave and allow the local population to fall to the Enemy. You united the planet and started to restore civilisation to the local area of space.
[][POWER BASE] Grounded Craftworld, after a daring adventure involving repelling a horde of demons of the fourth and rallying the local human population, your people and Eldar joined forces and skills to survive the new reality you found yourselves in.
[][POWER BASE] Spacestation, one of many constructed during the aftermath of the Iron War, doesn't hold a large population but it is a good starting point to expand in system. Many of its secrets remain to be discovered.
[][POWER BASE] At the helm of the fleet, you are constantly on the move trying to help as you move, your ships a relics of by gone area. They are the weakest class of their time, barely above civilian crafts, yet they are now one of the greatest ships available to mankind
[][POWER BASE] Necron tomb world, you know what is beneath your feet and you are desperately searching for a place to relocate the local population.
[][POWER BASE] In the middle of Warcamp, Orks are at the gates and the local knight clan has been cut down the size with the oldest remaining member being 6. You took command and repealed WAAAGH!, now it is time to purge the battlefields to prevent Orks from returning in a few years.

750.M31,
Six hours, six minutes and six seconds before the birth of Slaneash
Town of Creek

"End is night, the end times are upon us! Only the faith in the Three as the Fourth is born will save you from oblivion you fools!" An old woman screamed in the middle of the street her hands making dramatic motions while most people ignored her repeating the same words she had ruining her throat since she was just a teen. Her clothes if you could call them were run down by the years of constant use and grim of the city.

That is until she grabbed one of the passersby, a small girl who instantly tried to break free, but was choked to near death by an old hag as the stunned crowd watched.
"Mommy... help... me" As a silent cry of the girl broke the unnatural silence the crowd moved to free her from the madwoman.
"GUARDS!!!"
"STOP IT YOU HAG!"
"SOMEBODY CALL A HEALER!"
"I WILL KILL YOU INGETHEL IF THIS KID DIES!"

750.M31,
Six minutes and six seconds before the birth of Slaneash
Town of Creek, guardpost

Three guards were sitting at the table in the corner of the main chamber of the local guardpost.
"Do you have any eights?" asked the guard with the glasses.
"Nope, not my kinda number. Achoo~!" replied the sickly guard.
The deep laughter of the third guard was heard by his coworkers "Sucks to be you I have a pair" he said as his muscled arm hit the table.
Then the fourth guard entered the room. "My shift is up! Thank the fucks, that hag scares me."

"Not surprising, you are a cowardly damsel in distress."
"Oh, shut up muscle head," the fourth said as he sat down to join the game "I am a guy, not a damsel, so shut up and give me cards."
"No need to be so angry, it is the brute's thing." said the guard with glasses as he passed the cards to the fourth guard.
"That's right!" the muscled guard agreed without thinking "Hey!"
"Achoo~! So what is the hag doing, right now anyway?"

"Chanting her creepy cult BS" Said the fourth guard as he picked his fourth and last card " 'Oh the dark prince reward your prophet of this world in the hour of thy birth! Weird and horny noises' You know stuff like that." He said as he grinned looking at his cards.

"Wait do you hea-" the guard didn't manage to finish before an explosion rocked post from the side of the cells. And when the 4 guards saw the giant hole in the wall of the cell of Ingethel, they came to a quick conclusion.
"THAT BITCH IS A PSYKER AND IS FREE. SOUND THE ALARM!"
They run as fast as the wind, the four sixes on the table that would win the round long forgotten.

750.M31,
30 seconds before the birth of Slaneash
Town of Creek

Parts of the town were burning with purple flames. People ran in every direction, the mayor wished he was dead like his staff, and guards were fighting in the streets against cultists and beasts. Pandemonium.

And it didn't matter to the mother of a little girl who barely survived the day some 6 hours ago. She will protect her this time no matter if she will have to sacrifice herself so her daughter may live.

20 seconds before the birth of Slaneash

And yet her sacrifice was not enough to save her little flower, lack of blood made her weak, she could barely hear what the damn witch was saying as her now young hand has begun strangling her darling Aster.
"May-"
15 seconds before the birth of Slaneash
"shou-"
9 seconds before the birth of Slaneash
"pray"
8 seconds before the birth of Slaneash
"to God"
And so a dying mother uttered a silent prayer to a merciful god willing to save her daughter.
7 seconds before the birth of Slaneash
To a deity who would have compassion to the weakest
4 seconds before the birth of Slaneash
Who would protect them from evil
1 second before the birth of Slaneash
Who would make her sacrifice mean something
The wheel of fate turns ever onwards
The God is born
Goddess is freed
Reality shatters
Pantheon dies
One hides
Shard is saved

One is stole
One is broken
That's hell you'll go back to, but you'll save who you can
Prophet is abandoned
Innocents are saved

SLANEASH IS BORN AND PANDORA CADMUS IS FREE
One are able to notice

You have your body back, which is good because you arrived on the second of the death of a mother and her daughter. So almost too late, but the cults on Cadia won't be able to summon demons for the next few decades and with you here they will never have occasion to learn. Also as it turns out descending in the show of light that literally burns the mutated beasts and saves innocents from dying makes you an object of worship. A bit annoying but unsurprising, just like tripping over your own legs... And having a panic attack about having a body and sweat the moment after getting rid of local danger and healing who would die otherwise.

Now, you need to get to work, people will die if you don't, and surviving towns folk will probably follow almost any of your orders.

Cadian Policy
Cadia is a Feudal World... in theory, in practice, most towns are at the highest level of organisation with only a few city-state alliances formerly being above them. Yes, formerly because of the cultists those have collapsed and without your intervention, Cadia would degraded into a Feral World. While your direct actions will impact the world the most, you still need to set general Policies for people to follow. But you aren't a tyrant, so you will limit yourself somewhat. Spirit seems to appreciate that you aren't destroying locals way of life in a single night and with force
Influence Per Turn: 4
Banked Influence (1)
- The saviour of innocents

[][POLICY] Defend against the beasts, you can hunt down chaos-mutated beasts on the whole planet with relative ease, but even you can't be everywhere at once. Establish a monster hunters to defend people
[][POLICYl] Establish regular inter-town contact. The roads between towns are dangerous to travel, and because of that most towns get news once or twice a year. This needs to change establish the Grand Guards
[][POLICY] Up the regularity of the drills. Militia and town guards train once every other month on average. This must change make it once a month (-1 Influence) or every other week (-2 Influence)

[][POLICY] Focus on rebuilding. Many town buildings went in flames as the result of cults acting all over the planet, people need their homes before you can design something more modern for them
[][POLICY] Rular restoration. People will focus on putting food on the table and minimise the chances of famine.

[][POLICY] Psykers are both a great danger and an opportunity for rebuilding civilisation, start an organisation to properly identify and later teach them. Also, stop witch-burning without trial.
[][POLICY] Reform standard law, with each town having its own unique set of laws the true unification would be impossible, call for a meeting to lay down the basics of a new lawbook
[][POLICY] Build a federal system of government, sooner or later being an individual leader of a million towns will be too much even for you, so lay the groundwork for provincial, continental and planetary levels of government.

[][POLICY] Start unification propaganda, not all propaganda is created equal, but an honest sentiment to unite and build a better future will sway many
[][POLICY] Vilify chaos cultists, yes some people saw how barbaric they were, but they didn't understand why and how worse it could go. Make people understand the basics of why chaos bad.

Finally, Personal Actions.

Note: For actions with variable years, choose the number of years you're going to be spending there. Otherwise, I'll do nothing because this is just an omake and votes don't matter at all.

Pandora has 10/10 Years Available

[] Hunt down cultists:

-[] Cadia Primus (1 Year)
The dense forest of Primus would make for a great hiding spot if you weren't a goddess that is
-[] Cadia Secundus (1 Year)
The (formerly) great city-states of Secundus would be a good recruiting ground for cultists if you allow them
-[] Cadia Tertius. (1 Year)
Tertius is less a single landmass and more a shattered plate, within thousands of canyons you will find all the cultists that hide there.

[] Law and governance reforms:
-[] Local level (2 years)
-[] Federal level (1 year)
Requires completing the relevant policy first

[] Creation of a standing army
- [] Monster hunters [5 years 1 year thanks to the Spirit]
- []Grand Guard [4 years]
Requires completing the relevant policy first

[] Psyker question:
- [] establish ways to defend one's soul against the demons (1 year)
- [] create ways for psykers to grow and specialise (up to 8 years)
- [] build a centre of learning (1 year)

[] The Cult of Sacrifice (1 year)
You are a goddess you won't and can't hide it for long if you want to help people with all your might. Reveal yourself and structure your cult.

[]Unify Cadia with the word
-[] Cadia Primus (up to 5 years)
-[] Cadia Secundus (up to 15 years)
-[] Cadia Tertius. (up to 10 years)
The more prosperous you are the easier it gets, but the bloody conquest will make things a lot harder

[]Unify Cadia with the sword
-[] Cadia Primus (1 year)
-[] Cadia Secundus (up to 5 years)
-[] Cadia Tertius. (up to 7 years)
Requires the Grand Guards, can damage infrastructure

[] Teach forgotten arts:
-[] agriculture (3 years)
-[] Industrialisation (8 years)
-[] civil engineering (6 years)
-[] weapons (10 years 7 years thanks to the spirit)
[]Other Matters:
-[] Study the Necron pylons (40 years)
Technology, especially alien technology, especially Necron technology isn't your strong suit, you can do it but there must be someone better for this
-[] Learn what happened to your divine realm (2 years)
You have a duty to humanity, yes, but you have also a duty to your deva, they are also your friends so knowing what happened to them is vital
-[] Study your new nature (35 years 15 years thanks to the spirit)
You were mortal then almost 30 thousand years ago you were no longer mortal, now, now you don't know what exactly you are.

Thank you for reading!

Interesting twist on the formula.

More things change, the more they stay the same.

Omake: What if... Goddess in Old World?

When you were a child, your father sang you the song of peace, of duty to your people,
but duty demands sacrifice and in the grim aftermath of the War of the Ancients, no sacrifice was too great for him... or you.

Note: This omake won't even try to make an excuse that one could not make Pandora. This omake also moves the rise of Nehekhara to the aftermath of the war of the beard because it was happening next door to not!Egypt, there is no way that it would stay neutral in the conflict.

The greatest victory for the forces of Chaos and they didn't field even a single demon and yet the millions of souls fell in battle their blood flooding the rivers in the realm of Khorne, millions more died of famine and that followed plague decades after the body of Caledor II the Warrior, who should've been known as the Fool, was cold like a stone for prosperity that followed the cooperation of the two ancient races was replaced by devastation for all of the Old World and each soul whose body weaken by hunger and fell to sickness walked into a garden of Nurgle, the greatest scheme to grace the whole world and brought change just as Tzeench had planned, for the son of Morathi outwitted the proud king of Asur and as the world fell into disrepair men walked straight into waiting arms of Slaneash to forget the pain of their mortal life just for the price of an immortal soul.

And so when ashes that blocked the sun and choked the air for hundreds of years finally started to settle you were born to one of the dozen princes of the king of the shattered realm.

Your father wasn't an heir, he was a bastard 13th in the line of succession and lived as a humble priest faithful to his Gods and his wife, he taught you about Piety, Duty and Sacrifice. Great and important things that his little princess needed to know, yet he also taught you the simpler things, Friendship, Songs and Compassion. He only wanted a simple life with his close family and friends. Fate had other plans for him.

The city of Khemri was in long decline long before your grandfather took the sceptre. The corruption took hold of the land, the waters and the land. The fair river Vitae was closer to a creek barely able to quench the thirst of the people and as the sands of the desert grew ever closer your grandfather, your uncles and your aunts cared only for the gold of their cups filled to the brim with wine.

Then during one of their 6-day feasts, while the common people starved and your father prayed in a long-forgotten shrine with you dozing off by his side, your grandfather took one last sip from his goblet and fell from his throne. Even you don't know if it was alcohol poisoning or poison poisoning, even after asking Usirian long ago he told you that your grandfather's soul was already in the claws of the other.

The next morning when you wake up and your father finished the last holiday rites you stop in fear after exiting the shrine of Ptra. The ancient palace built by the hands of a man, an elf and a dwarf at the end of the 3rd millennium before Sigmar's birth was burning to the ground.

For 12 months the 12 trueborn children of the last king of Khemri fought as each month took one of them and hundreds of nobles via poison, sickness, battle or overindulgence and at the end, only one left with any claim to the throne was the youngest, the one who didn't want it in the first place, your father, Settra the first Priest-King.

Taking power didn't change your father, yet as days, weeks and months went by it was becoming clear that despite his and his advisors' best efforts Khemri was beyond saving via mortal hands. The orcs, the bandits, the famine, the plague, the debt left behind by the corrupt, only a miracle could save Khemri.

And so your father prayed as your mother died giving birth and as you tried to help his court where you could. The Gods answered him, yet it wasn't a joyous occasion.

Hundreds of years of neglect weakened the Gods and to save Khemri they needed a sacrifice, your father had to choose between you and your people. You didn't leave him a choice and volunteered to die so Khemri may live in safety.

And so during an anniversary of his hasty coronation, you and your friends and servants who wanted to follow you even in death died in the ritual that cleansed Vitae and saved Khemri. And as you looked up with a smile at your crying father just as his sword blocked the sun you said that you trust that he will protect people from all harm.

That was a mistake.

Your father as it turns out didn't take the death of his family very well and overcorrected the situation a bit, well a lot by conquering everything in sight because nothing can harm the people of Khemri if everything belongs to the people of Khemri. He didn't even allow himself to die before he could safeguard all of humanity via conquest and started the Mortuary Cult so he may fulfil his promise to you.

As for you? In the aftermath of dying to save the people, a lot of them sang praise to you, which as generations passed turned into prayers (all of the propaganda mosaics that your father and his successors made of the event didn't help) and belief of the people holds power. And so very very slowly you became aware of what was happening to you.

And even as centuries passed and great Priest-Kings ruled, died and were interned into Pyramids, the common people of Khemri thanked you for your sacrifice for them, even as the ruling class who feared death forgot about you.

Even the great necromancer Nagash in his spiteful curse which fell your homeland and killed your (fellow) gods of Nehekhara forgot to mention you in his magnum opus of a spell.

You are Pandora Cadmus of the First Dynasty, daughter of Settra the Imperishable,

the first and greatest willing sacrifice, the kind purifier of the mighty river Vitae, the friend of commoners, the protector of the weak, the honourable guest at the court of Ptra, the beloved flame which thaws the coldest heart, the one who ends the draughts, the songstress of a thousand nights, the enemy of Corruption, the First Ascendant, the student of the Gods and the Goddess of Sacrifice...

Your Domains
Each of the many gods of the world holds many related domains that tell what kind of diety they are. The act of sacrifice is what is undisputedly yours to keep and yours to hold, even chaos cultists who let go of something for something greater fall under your jurisdiction and knowledge, but you also hold sway over other lesser domains as you are the student and heiress of the first human Pantheon, while some of your aspects were worshipped more than the other, 2 in particular were of note:

What prayers did you answer? Which of your stories were told? Over what you hold a dominion?
-[F][Domain] Purification, as a central point of ritual that cleansed and brought back arguably the greatest river in the old world with only Reik being its rival and equal, you and those who are yours can cleanse magical corruption with easy only a few others can achieve
-[F][Domain] Magic, the difference between a priest and a mage in many cultures is minimal if it even exists, your father saw your talent long before taking power and helped you polish your gift as much as he could, after becoming a goddess you quickly became one of the favourite students of Asaph the goddess of magic.
-[F][Domain] Life, the great river Vitae was the source of life for all of Nehekhara and you were closely associated with it, such things matter for the gods and what they can do
-[F][Domain] Water, was the reason why you needed to be sacrificed in the first place, now you hold dominion over it, not fully as salt waters aren't your forte but be it rivers or rains, you know them and control them.
-[F][Domain] Music, something quite simple but which was part of your life since the very beginning and made it so much more. You hold sway over music and as all know music makes everything better.
-[F][Domain] Bonds, a bond between a parent and child, a bond between master and a servant, a bond between friends, each of them means something else, yet they mattered to you in life and so as a goddess they are in your portfolio.

The last laugh
As the vile Nagash prepared his great curse to end all of Nehekhara for if he couldn't have it, no one would, Ptra summoned all of the gods who followed his rule to his court. The gods couldn't save themselves but they could turn the ritual into something that would strengthen the only god the remaining people of Khemri will have left, you. And so all who held dominion over magic, rituals and spells decided to play one last trick on the archtraitor.

What was the parting gift left to you by your gods? What was the only good thing that happened because of Nagash?
-[F][Boon] Incarna, the realm of the gods and mortals are separate with only elven gods and Inds godlings are known for leaving the mortal avatars, but even those pale in comparison to what you can now do. Incarna allows you to split part of your godly power and mind to intervene in the mortal world directly... that being said a lot of time has passed since you had a body. And its death permanently weakens you each time.
-[F][Boon] Devas, a thousand people died with you that day in Khemri, now with the end of civilisation all but sealed they were given to you as your servants and army, you gained an ability that nobody but the Chaos Gods previously held. You can make your own demons to enact your will in the mortal world
-[F][Boon] Heiress to the Pantheon, the ritual will end the Pantheon but you will survive and with their blessing, you could inherit their domains if you train enough. Otherwise, only deeds that will echo across will expand your domains.
-[F][Boon] Damn Nagash, the goddess counter-cursed Nagash, his followers and creations. You are now an Anathema to the undead the mere mention of your name is enough to dispel whole contingents of skeletons and zombies.

Your prophet
With the death of Nehekhara and all of the priest-kings waking up those who survived scattered across the world taking their worship of you with them, you answered their prayers and problems where you could but even your godly focus couldn't keep up the separate faithful in equal degree. So one group or rather one person finally took your attention and became your champion from where your cult will spread.

Desperate people of a long lost homeland, who kept their faith, which of them will start it all?
-[F][Prophet] In the western lands a noble in the ruins of the ancient elven port in the land of vineyards, gives up his wealth and life to you so you may protect his homeland from Orcs and horsemen invaders. (You start around 1000 years before the birth of Sigmar as Patron of people who held Bretonia before Bretoni, who are now invading, took it over)
-[F][Prophet] In the frozen north a warrior betrayed by his gods and friends sacrifices his bloodlust as your believer keeps him alive out of simple kindness (You start in frozen Norsca 800 years after Sigmar's birth, just as the great raiding of Tilea begins)
-[F][Prophet] In the east in the shadow of the World's End Mountains on the Silk Road a trader gives up his safety for others fighting black orcs, chaos dwarfs and ogres. (You start in Dark Lands in the wake of the black orc rebellion, around 1700 years after Sigmar)
-[F][Prophet] In the south a mercenary sacrifices his freedom to you so he may take up the mantle of protector (You start in border princes just before Magnus the Pious reunites the empire)

I didn't make interlude/turn because hungry, maybe later.

Ah, so that's how she came to be here.
Spoiler: rest of his titles
I pity the crier who has to introduce her in any formal occasions.

That's the ultimate flex. Since she's his firstborn daughter and heir presumptive, all his titles simply must be mentioned when you're introducing her… said some poor shmuck whose name was forgotten to history, who died by sacrificing his vocal cords to the goddess

[x] Plan: A Blessed Foundation

I'm voting for a Blessed Foundation with the belief that we have talented subordinates that will work on Void and Censor orders. Having an extra decade to build Calm Water ships by working on them this decade is a big advantage in my opinion, so being able to do that while still getting the Censor order created looks good to me.

Just finished Rogue Trader...

Imagine Panda finding:
A Koronus Expanse that's actually progressive and doesnt treat its lowliest like chattel, has found a more permanent peace with aeldari, and is also supported by Nomos... that'll be... something...

Year of Rogue Trader is 531 M41 apparently.

Actually it takes place post Great Rift. Interesting enough during the Beta the date was set 841.M41 but was changed.

Current date was 531. There was a date on the interface.

Edit: Nope. No rift. Checked reddit. People concur no mentions of the rift, astronomicon is still normal.

The Great Rift is mentioned multiple times including the Iconoclast ending. Granted this wasn't always since the alpha and beta the date was 841.M41 so its a bit inconsistent in the writing. Also the ttrpg takes place in the 800s and owlcat mentioned tge game taking place after it. Go to the owlcat discord they will say the exact same thing.

But no exact date? Would be interesting if it was closer to current quest date.

Most likely this was a last minute change. Because the Great Rift is only mentioned a few times in the entire game. Though I wager the game take place soon after the Great Rift forming. Though it would be really easy of just having it take place earlier like it how it was earlier if swordo wants to include it.

Tbf it does help explain us being unable to go to Terra from the Expanse.

Just finished binging this a day or two ago. Very nice stuff. Pandora's a great character, and I like how it's clearly possible for positive change and reform to come about, it's just not easy. I'm really interested to see where this telepathica reform ends up going; hopefully it goes... relatively smoothly? Pandora seems to be on a roll so far.
Note: the 9 Years Pandora spent on Telepathica stuff this turn (6 Years + Focus) will be considered to automatically count towards whatever AP requirement this project incurs.
This note from "030.M42 - The Letter of the Law" is confusing me. Does this mean that even though Pandora's plan for telepathica reforms would normally take 72 years it'll instead take 63? I was under the impression that Pandora's Action Points were equivalent to years, in the sense of "I have this amount of years to work with before I have to scoot back to Terra for the next Senatorum Imperalis meeting".

Also quick question: What is the psychic awakening and why is it happening in 70 years? Did our actions trigger it somehow, or bring it about earlier than expected? Was it always going to happen within ~70-80 years of Cadia's fall?

Right, so each AP is indeed roughly equivalent to a year, however, those AP have the main goal being to do X while taking care of other things. The Focus mechanic, insofar as I understand it, turns that into "This is all I'm going to do for this amount of time" and making each AP count for 1.5 times as much. The Plan taking 72 years could therefore be assumed to say "This is the amount of effective AP that must be put into this project for it to reach completion". We aren't the only ones working on it, the Telepathica and Astronomican heads are going to be making it their main focus, so I wouldn't be surprised if the administrative portions of things are finished in 40 or so years, possibly less if we can find the free years to put Mona on it.
Also quick question: What is the psychic awakening and why is it happening in 70 years? Did our actions trigger it somehow, or bring it about earlier than expected?
Not a Warhammer nerd, but, insofar as I understand it, it's basically like if tomorrow half the planet got superpowers out of nowhere and 90% of them in some way exploded into hell portals. It likely would have happened in any case without us.

It means mankind will come closer to becoming a fully psychic species like the Eldar. Basically, the existing psychers (wizards) will get a huge power boost, and lots of others people will suddenly become psychers too.

The problem is twofold. First, the Imperium as it is cannot detect and train all of those new psychers. Second, untrained psychers easily loose control of their powers and/or get possessed by demons. Put the 2 together, and you have a significant chunk of the population that will suddenly start burning/warping the flesh of/mindcontroling everyone around them, get possessed by demons or explode into portals to hell from which entire armies of demons will pour off to kill everyone on the planet.

Now imagine at least some of those events happening on every single planet of the Imperium, and you can see the scale of the problem. Our reforms will ensure that all those new psychers will get detected and trained before having the time to loose control of their powers. Their training will also be much better than what the Imperium teaches rn. That way, we will both prevent most of the Imperium going in flame while gaining an army of wizards that will be loyal to us above all else.

I'm curious, does that mean Prima and Emperor will get that same power boost? Will the Space Marines, especially the Grey Knights? I feel like Prima is more likely than Emperor because Prima's... more human-y?

Also is Olympia going to become an alpha-plus or just like. A top-of-the-line Alpha psyker?
