Gus Porter in: Human interaction misadventures

Gus Porter consider himself someone very interested in human culture. I mean he was the president of the human appreciation club back on the boiling Isle. That's how you even met your friends and the human that is currently trying to save your home Luz and get back to it.

I mean, it's not hard to think about home after all. You're now in the very world like you've been interested ever since you found that magazine about humans. It just cost you that your Dad is probably very much in danger after releasing an ancient being called the collector which Luz informed you about.

It also probably doesn't help that to learn that your leader Emperor Belos, after which some research and explanation from this worlds version of a scroll to learn that he was something called a witch hunter who very much wanted the hunted your kind to death. Or maybe the fact that one of your best friends very much, blames herself about your friends being stuck here.

You don't wanna think about that. I mean, you can finally enjoy human culture and see all of it and glory. Luz's mom has been very kind to you and your friends with it being that you're stuck, here and trying to figure way to get back and save the boiling Isles. You feel pretty bad at seeing Luz moping around and blaming herself. You never blame Luz she's trying her best to help you and the others out in the situation.

You're really interested in exploring this town called Springfield. From what you have observed while walking down the street of this town a lot of the humans here at this Springfield Place have yellow skin. It must be a regional thing for humans. Man this place will really help up your knowledge about humans.

You have told everyone that you're kind of exploring this place and stuff you're not that irresponsible I mean you learned your lesson with going off with a group of strangers, the first time back on the boiling Isle. Really showed them with an illusionist could do.

As you're walking down through the street of Springfield, you see something that catches your eye. It looks like one of those robots Luz showed you on the boiling Isles text on the front of some window of a shop you assume which you look up to read the shop name.

The name of the shop that you're looking at is called the "Android's Dungeon and Baseball card shop." Wow you never knew that humans have dungeons just like on the boiling Isles. You could see lots of books in there. They kind of small looking so you want to get in closer to see what's the shop about.

When you open up the shop door and let out a small ring whoever owns the shop that here. You see a kind of overweight guy looks up from reading a comic book with a slight board look on his face and what he says to you while putting away the comic book underneath the counter

"Hello, welcome to my shop if there's anything you want, I will tell you that we have moved the Chewbacca a little bit left of the store. Also we're getting a restock of some items after a brief period of delay"

You look around these kind of thin paper books. wait a minute think you know what this is Luz show you she called this place a "comic book" shop which she says it's like a library instead, it uses pictures to tell the story with something called a text bubble.

You walk up to the guy who you're assuming is the owner of this "comic book" shop And say to the bored looking man who's currently just looking at you after putting away a comic underneath the shop counter.

"Hi, this is a comic book shop, right?"

You asked a bit to the man who is just giving you a look which he gives you a reply. Kind of scrutinizing you a bit, giving a look over. You feel his gaze staring right at you you feel like he could even see through your illusions from how much he's staring at you.

" Yes this is a comic bookshop but something more than that is also all of medias and the world's place of all works in the fictional sense."

You see the guy kinda looks proud as he says that before just looking back down at you still looking you over which he says as he narrows his eyes a little bit suspiciously at you.

" I don't think I've ever saw you here before in Springfield. what's up with your ears? They kind of look like elf ears being long and pointy."

Oh, you forgot to use illusion magic to make your ears look like a human ears so Gus the only way to make sure that you don't accidentally blurt anything out is by lying. You could always say that this is a Cosplay that you're doing.

" oh uh.. I'm doing a cosplay of a just like you said good, sir. Have I mentioned that your shop looks great looking today."

You see his eyes narrow less at the comment. It looks a little bit smug when you mention about his comic shop looking nice. You see, he begins adjusting a stand that has a comic book that's covered in plastic.

"Why thank you, I put everything into making sure this shop along with my wife's help into looking quite respectable. Have You've seen the new issue of radioactive man. I believe you will be quite interested."

You see he gestures to the comic book that has a cover of a buff looking human wearing a skin tight suit that has a weird symbol you never seen before. he's tied up with him cursing whoever did this to this radioactive and which you look at the man showing you the comic book

" no I never heard of comic books before or any of the stuff in the shop. Can you explain it to me what this stuff is and who this radioactive man is as well?"

The man looks completely floored at your question, rubs his head, giving you a look of complete confusion at your admittance of never reading a comic book. You see, he strokes his beard contemplating he looks at you and gives you a quite serious look.

" so you've never heard of a comic book before hmmm? Very well young one I will teach you all about the ancient and ancestral art. The the very. Nay the history itself of fiction in my shop you understand once I start this, your life will change."

You completely understand what he's saying he's challenging you to learn this fact about human culture so you shoot them back the same look of seriousness reply in the same serious tone.

" Tell me everything."

You see he looks a bit smug when you say that and lowers his head to your gaze in the same serious tone. his eyes never once moving away from yours.

" Young padawan you have so much to learn from me."

Same thing thank you for reading and just as always likes help me be creative and constructive criticism is always welcome. Thank you.

Alright any ideas on what kind of heroes we'll need now, since we have a good starting occult group.
In order from least to most, occult, intrigue, stewardship, martial, diplomacy

We just got an load of occult units, Mona and the final are enough for intruige, stewardship is alright, martial is running off wille (but has recovered an bit this turn with hunter) and diplomacy is really only flanders, The only reason moe is on reaching out is its an organization of bar keepers, being reached out by an bar keep, who is already an member.

Krusty should be a good diplomatic hero unit that has descent Intrigue stats, showbiz is a very cutthorath business.

That may have some bonus in interacting the goverment thabks to his brief sting as senator.

I have an feeling Krusty will be more of an stewardship hero, with an secondary intrigue/diplomacy, Fits him somewhat better that way.

Heck no, Krusty is terrible with money. The only motive he's not poor is because he sell his likeness to a ton of business.

Krusty Show is a very popular show in part because he knows what his audiance wants and know how to disguise his feelings very well, since he kinda hate his job.

As a celebrity Diplomacy and Intrigue stats are a paramount for any of them, specially the former.

I can see it... we go for krusty next turn? depends what happens this turn.

Yeah, we only have one Interlude left and it's meeting with Doof and rival reports before next turn

I definitely want to go for Krusty it would allow us to get more income and unlock possibly more stuff I mean, we have that laser tag and tonic action. We unlocked from jog your memory personal action.

Doofs collab could change a lot depending on what he colabs with us on, so i would certainly wait on that before anything certain, same with the RERs, they can change alot (if unlikely)
Still, more diplo heros will be very useful, and the extra income is nice.

We could try to buy both Itchy and Scratchy and Krusty show.

While it takes two income it should give us a bonus considerig Itchy and Scratchy are transmitted during Krusty show.

So maybe a bonus on income or in the case of Krusty the need to not have to pay the rights to transmit Itchy and Scratchy.

Swap out smuggling for it? just be sure we dont spend income until the next payday.

You forgot Learning actions in your list.

Lets wait till turn 5 and see what we need to do.

After all the rival reports could get our priorities changed or the start of an adventure.

But we still have 6 income iirc so buying more stuff before the pay day could pay dividends in the end, helps both Krusty and the toons are cheap, also worried that someone else may jump to buy Itchy and Scratchy before we can as the signs that it is time sensitive it is there.

Just wanted to say love this. I can't help find the idea of comic book guy becoming like a mentor to Gus both fitting yet hilarious ~

I got twenty points from a couple of omake rewards at the ready for buying itchy and scratchy. I'm honestly still curious if buying the show will give us toon hero units or not.

Though on topic hero units we'll have to choose carefully for those last 6 spaces. Admit there's some would love to bring on but can't deny we've got some good options among Simpsons, owl house, or big city greens when the greens arrive to Springfield, nevermind I suppose the potential in making any of our house staff full time hero units.

So .. this might trickier than I thought in filling those spots.

For the Greens, my idea was mostly to help with Springfield lemon trees, they are good farmers after all and mostly got run out of bussiness due to mass produced farms.

There is also Chip Whistler, that bastard will already be out for blood due to poaching Gloria and us housing the greens will make him go to war, probably will be our first big scuffle with another prince.

From our family itself, I kinda want to see Marge sheet too before we decide stuff, like pretty sure she would have high stats due to having to juggle the budget between 3 kids and homer.

I think we should look for a strong martial hero, preferably a cape of some kind. Then we cool it with recruiting for a while. We don't want to use up all our slots.

Focus on building up our business empire and improving Springfield and our family ties.

Also, for the record, I don't think doing business with Herb or Itchy and Scratchy, or anyone else automatically causes us to gain a hero unit. We can still buy them out and stuff.

Marge will probably have very strong stats all round, she is an trained police officer (martial) runs her family budget (stewardship) is marge (diplomacy) and probably has alright learning and intrigue

Oh hey, this talk about the Simpsons family has me thinking: Is there any way to introduce Bart and Lisa to Webby? A personal action or something? Don't know if I want to push our luck with Homer just yet. Maybe focus on our other relatives.

With Herb it is probably must later down the road to better springfield.

He give us directly a foot into the transport industry and probably opens collaborations with him, which we could sent Frink for it and make us nice cars, hell he could also probably lower the DC for any transport related, like reopening the aqua car factory.

We also kinda need to recruit Homer if we want that free collab with Hank Scorpio.

TBH sending the Eggheads to Herb to make a new model of car will pay out a lot, like Frink more than sure could invent a new power source which would make the car unique, earn us the ire of the old fossil tycoons sure, but still probably get a nice income boost.

As for introducing Webby to Bart and Lisa, mostly had the idea of a omake, Homer must be more open after all since we saved the kids so I won't doubt he will let them visit us.

Mostly a meet and greet that ends on a good old prank call to certain bar and the kids laughing off their assess.

Hmm..... I wonder if we could somehow find a way to use the Doof collab to reach out to Herb and create a mad science car to dominate the industry.

Not an good idea in the slightest, we are not dealing with doofquest doof and it has an non zero chance of one or both kings getting pissed with us, its not an good idea to get an kings attention without an plan, or an very high chance of success.

Shego is straight up a criminal that's too rich to be be arrested. Frankly she probably would really get along with Burns than Abe.

Doofenshmirtz is the best option of the kings. In this case, the policy of picking one and staying with them would probably be best. The one in this case being Doofenshmirtz. It is not as though conditions under his patronage would be onerous.
