Please get the aliens out of her head.

-[X] failing that go back to Cynric and use your healing magic on him. His unique... Disability allows him to absorb magical from spells cast on him.

Edit: I'd rather nae sneak into the command center. It's pretty clearly an alien suggestion.

I don't think we can "hear" the voices it looked more like they sent feelings or thoughts since we reacted as if they were normal.
[X] Ever since this morning you've had a weird pressure in our head ask Cynric's doctor friend for some medicine and maybe a examination.
-[X] if she agrees ask if theirs anything on this world that could also help with growth you doubt they have anything but just in case it never hurts to check.

Finally we can bring the quest back to its roots. I kinda miss the times when Cynric had enough free time for truly random things inbetween overkilling anything that invokes his displeasure.

I am also mildly interested in deepening Louise-Espinoza connection.

You know you can vote for that too

Eh, healing has a solid lead, so at this point it'd be just a protest vote. But it is something I'd like to explore later.

What? No aliens influence here.

Espinoza and healing seem to have won this round. This will likely be a shorter chapter.

Doctor Vallière Strikes Again
Sneaking out of the kitchen and around the excessively jovial commoners therein, Louise takes her rotisserie chicken meal and wanders invisibly through the halls. Not one person notices as she pokes about the base in search of somewhere to enjoy her meal, not wanting to interact with the peasants, yet unwilling to simply tear into the meat while wandering around like an uncultured simpleton. Seeing an open door as she turns a corner, she takes her platter of food and heads inside.

A pair of guards are drinking and laughing as they watch Master Cynric's familiar battling alien airships on one of their many tell-a-visions. Rubbing her forehead to relieve that annoying pressure, she blinks in confusion at the full feeling in her stomach and stares at the empty dishes on the floor. Looking back at the guards, she grows more confused at seeing them sleeping on the floor and their tell-a-visions smashed.

Bewildered and annoyed at the weird situation, Louise leaves the room and heads to the medical wing.

------------------------------

Stepping off the elevator and marching down the halls, the youngest Vallière once more finds herself surrounded by the sterile white walls and beeping gadgets of X-com's medical facilities. Though the main room is empty of patients, she heads inside to ask a doctor if her services might be helpful. Surely there was a valid target for her to practice on somewhere around here. Maybe I should have healed those two before leaving... Oh well.

"-aybe... there's nothing wrong with him if you ignore the steadily rising rads." Her nemesis says with a shrug, brushing her blonde locks out of her eyes.

The male doctor throws his hands in the air dramatically and whines, "I just don't understand, I keep giving him the standard treatment for radiation poisoning, but the tests keep coming back positive. Whatever they did to him out there, it's a pretty nasty way to die."

"Pardon me, gentlemen." Louise says abruptly, hiding her smirk at the blonde woman's offended look.

Startled, the two turn to look at her with carefully neutral expressions. The blonde takes it upon herself to speak for the them both and motions dismissively to the other. "Hello again Louise, I assume you don't need to be restrained this time?"

I'll feed you your own beating heart!

"No, I was merely wondering if anyone needed to be healed today." Louise replies, giving the woman a strained smile. "I'd hate for your patients to have to spend weeks recovering when I could easily cure their ails."

Sucking her teeth, the blonde appears to think for a moment before waving to a tell-a-vision with a set of lettered buttons in front of it. "Whatever, kid. Computer's there, only ones left in here after you grew a heart last night are amputees and a few idiots that drank too much at breakfast."

Looking at the tell-a-vision that's really a come-pewter, though the logic of naming something without visible metal after pewter eludes her, Louise cautiously approaches the device and begins poking at the lettered buttons. It takes over half an hour for her to figure out how to operate the device, having not bothered with her datapad after it repeatedly embarrassed her by blaring startling noises when she touched the little envelopes that would appear on it. Nevertheless, her intellect is up to the task and soon she is using the little magnifying glass to locate which medical rooms house the 'intensive care' patients.

Hopping off the stool, Louise floats around the medical wing and manages to push the wheeled beds together in the main lobby. Ignoring the screeching machines left in their rooms, she locks the doors and begins to concentrate on her magicka. A golden aura swells into being, molten light flowing like water as it washes over the injured and soothes their afflictions. Fractured bones fuse back to proper form, excessive amounts of alcohol is rapidly metabolized, bandages stretch and snap as the amputated limbs she'd barely bothered to stabilize before began to grow back. She continues for two hours, experimenting with the amount of magicka and different methods of using it to repair her subjects' tissue.

The practice is both informative and relaxing for Louise, finally giving her a visible example of how much she's improving. After all, Master Cynric himself said that for a healer, regenerating missing limbs is just below curing diseases without a potion in difficulty. One man named Garza wakes up when she tries her master's method of healing by reversing the patient's experience, giving her a bruise to heal as well when she put him back to sleep. Exhausted, but satisfied, Louise rolls her shoulders and unlocks the door.

With a startled shout, several doctors and an engineer fall on the floor when she opens the door. Too tired to be bother with commenting, Louise levitates over their groaning bodies with a yawn and heads off in search of the 'djinn therapy' room to find her favored commoner. Maybe she can enlist his aid in protecting Cattleya from the animal urges of the rest of his ilk. When the shouting groaning peasants regain their wits enough to shout for her to return, she simply casts invisibility on herself.

------------------------------

Tiredly floating into the strange room, Louise looks around at the tubes of glowing liquid and most definitely does not 'eep' in embarrassment as she spots the nude forms of the soldiers staring back at her from within. Fleeing back to her room with her hands over her eyes proves both difficult and unwise, as she collides with dozens of confused personnel and even more walls. Mortified, the pinkette spends the remaining hours until dinner attempting to take her mind off what she saw by using her new come-pewter knowledge to get revenge on whoever kept sending those noises to her datapad by overwhelming them with empty envelopes.

-------------------------------

"Umm... Sir... your pocket's beeping." Security officer Garvey said hesitantly from his post at the door.

Sighing, Jeremy Flagg continued walking toward engineering. At first he had thought the girl was trying to respond to the automated alert system, it seemed like a reasonable conclusion considering how her primitive homeland couldn't have given her the experience to know better, but three hours of blank messages was far too much work for either ignorance or maliciousness. Hopefully Shen could fix whatever was wrong with the damned thing and he could get back to wrapping his head around the rest of the craziness going on lately.

Choose 2:
[] Stalk Cattleya invisibly and protect her virtue.

[] Go find the scientist or old man that Master Cynric spends so much time with, whichever you can find first. 50/50 chance.

[] Spell research-
[] Grand Healing.
[] 'Why do Espinoza's rockets cause deeper damage than mine?'
[] Flame Cloak.

[] Sneak into the command center.

[] Go to sleep. Do nothing else for the night.

[] Write in.

-----------------------

A/N: Grand Healing 2/3 complete. Louise can now heal multiple others or herself and one other. Espinoza has two more days of Genetic modification to go, the others will be done later in the night.

Of course they're treating him for radiation poisoning.

You know I'm kind of surprised vahlen isn't overseeing him personally. I mean... He is unconcious...

[X] You think you blacked out earlier? When you came to, everything was different. Should probably figure out what that is, before it costs you during battle.

The perfect way to introduce a problem for us to solve. Yaaay!
