Or a powerful nature spirit... Problem is most of those don't take kindly to humanity.
Usually because humanity is destroying their nature all the time. Remember though, Cynric was raised Forsworn and comes from a long line of Reach men bushmages. In this case, there is an alien spaceship vomiting plasma down on a national forest.

Depends on how vany ghosts you want, there isn't an abundance of people to sacrifice like in londinium, so you'd be outright summoning them as opposed to just containing them.

What about from the dead bodies of the aliens?

The important thing to remember about xcom aliens is that they don't shield their ships, so unless there is an ethereal onboard to make a psi-shield, you can attack it directly. Magnus' gaze COULD pierce the hull and even cut chunks off, but you won't be slicing the whole thing in half.

Wispmother would be 200 magicka and is a caster/summoner type frost elemental. Good area control, but one good hit of plasma will kill it, so use it wisely.

Like I said, it mostly depends on how many ghosts and what you want to accomplish with the laser attack.

Hmm.

Plasma...

How much would it cost to summon a Magmortar?

Would be under "Something to withstand plasma and can hit hard, in return" since, y'know, the Fire Elementals are not particularly good as heavy artillery. Whereas Mags can let loose with Lava Plume, Fire Blast, or Hyper Beam which combos nicely with STAB/high Sp Att stat.

I'm considering a Ghost Barrage + Magmortar Bombardment. Both for the fun of it and to make sure Louise isn't at risk if she doesn't have to be.

I kind of want to summon something big. For fun. And to make a statement.

Edit: fuck it, he gets kidnapped all the time. Also he kicks so much ass it isn't even funny.

@PieceThruWar how hard would it be to get Doomguy?

Hmm.

I'm always partial to Zapdos, as a rather interesting merger between our respective concepts (big + Pokemon + immune to plasma).

Plus it probably pokes fun at Louise getting an electric rat while we got a god bird of thunderstorms. Woo!

The aliens won't make ghosts because they are flashcloned and programmed rather than properly developed, they dont have the experience or potential to have developed a strong enough sense of self. They're basically automatons of flesh. Well, other than the thinman/viper species and ethereals.

I don't actually know much about pokemon after Lugia was introduced in the movie. what are some of its feats, because it doesn't look much more capable than a storm atronach.

What about summoning Batman?
If you want Bats to die, go ahead.

I kind of want to summon something big. For fun. And to make a statement.

The summoned beings soul or potential is what determines its cost... To a point. You could summon an oliphant for much less magicka than Harry Dresden, after all.
Why not summon a huge amount of rust monsters? They eat metal.
not all metal corrode like you are wanting, so rust abilities are a gamble.

Mmm. Rust monster can eat enchanted adamantium. And the nastier rust Lord's are even more voracious.

I do wonder what one of those let loose on the ship would do.

Probably eat a hole through the floor and fall to it's death.

Though rust Lord's do have fire resistance. And a decent will save.

[X] Operation: God of Thunder
[X] Assault the alien ship. The ground team can take care of the ground, you can Louise should try to remove the main threat.
-[X] Summon a creature that is immune to plasma and can hit hard enough to threaten a spaceship, if the world Louise's electric rat came from happens to have one of those (Zapdos: 800 magicka).
--[X] Drink whatever is necessary to recover/prepare.

Yeah, binding is the majority of the cost. If a pokeball/badges can help control this godbird, ensnaring it's mind with the fundamental energies of creation is definitely possible.

Cynric has no idea what pokemon battles are like though, so he would be ordering it to fight, not use specifically named moves.

Also, the aliens invading the base. Their weapons were resisted by fire protection. Don't know if plasma is lightning/fire.

Edit: now I kind of want to go to Pokemon, and scare the shit out of some locals.

Though that world is not without it's dangers...

Actually. If the world is in danger, and Zapdos decides Were hard enough. It might work with us willingly. Legendaries do that sometimes.

Fire and lightning are both plasmas, but plasma weapons are less electrical and more burn-y/melty deathification.

Fair enough, I removed tactics and just kept it at "Summon Zapdos and drink sippy" basically. What's the cost going to be? Lower because it can be relatively easily caught by homeworld technology than it would be otherwise, I'd assume, but still hefty because Legendary, yeah?

Lightning/Fire are both plasmas.

"Plasma is when the electrons are "freed" from their host atoms for a short time, due to high temperatures. Fire is plasma, it responds to electric fields. Lightning is also plasma. When a column of electrons flows from sky to ground, the air that it passes through lights up with energy."

And the Pokeverse would be loads of fun, but I really want to get back to Blighttown and travel that land. We still have an outstanding quest waiting on us.

Eh alright youve convinced me.
[X]Pandemonious Ivy

I would like you to give Louise something to do though.

In the Pokemon world, when the balance of the natural world is at risk, (at least that's the intention) legendaries will sometimes bond with a human. Kyogre and Groudon have their orbs. As do Dialga and Palkia.
Reshiram has his hero of truth. And Zerkrom his hero of Ideals.

I don't really know if the birds do it.

Should we have Louise help out the rest of the Flame Atronachs/soldiers?

Oh yeah, if we rip a legend out of the Pokemon world Palkia might come looking for it. Since his life force is connected to the dimensions space. Also it's his job.

... On second thought, let's not go to Pokemon.

Their universes creator got is still alive and tearing shit up at home. That's... That's a lot of power. Not even the Daedra MADE the multiverse they inhabit.

Maybe we should go to DC comics? I know that the place is full of people that can make and unmake the multiverse but they will probably not fuck with us and the only thing that we should be scared of is the Spectre and maybe Dr Fate. But DC has some insane magic which we could learn so maybe its worth it.

800 magicka if bound, 200 unbound. It has weather control, high-powered directed attacks, flight, intelligence, and agelessness. It would be nearly twice as expensive if it wasn't so easily bound.

Their damage types are different though and even pokemon agrees.
Well I think if we put comic Batman in engineering then we will get some fun things, also the Justice league will come after him so we will gain a shit tone of super humans, and they can get here as cyborg has multiversal travel thanks to his motherbox.
I'd almost certainly apply a dash of handwavium to remove him from existence.

DC universe is not allowed, as I am not a qualified lore-beard on that franchise. I don't want to get involved with the major comic universes for the same reason I don't want to allow WH40k... I'd piss off the fans by getting a minor detail wrong. I also hate batman
