"Stop talking nonsense and help me!" Yang grunted as she rolled to avoid an attack that didn't come, apparently not bothering to actually pay any heed to Louise's words.
Looking up at Summer, the blonde cautiously made to stand. "It's the truth, Yang. It's really me. I'm... I'm back."
"No. No, that's not possible! You can't be her, she's dead!"
Zapping her with Sparks for her denial of the obvious, Louise took the brunt of her glare with ease. "Don't be so ungrateful! Master Cynric brought your mother back from the dead, complaining isn't going to change anything."
"Magic? Don't be stupi- Ooh, holy shit, what the hell?!" Yang cut herself off when Louise grew impatient and threw her gear to the side started to Levitate, activated all three elemental cloak spells, lift furniture with Telekinesis, and turned herself invisible in quick succession.
Appearing as a human shaped storm of fire, ice, and lightning, Louise set the room back to order and grit her teeth at the realization of her impulsiveness. Not only was the Shock Cloak barely under her control since she'd never tried it before and the Fire Cloak was slowly eating at her clothes, but any hope of hiding magic from her team was now lost. Knowing Yang, it was useless to even suggest she keep it a secret from team DASY. Hopefully Ozpin wouldn't notice, or at least make a fuss over it if he did, and none of them would spread the information around. Not needing to hide her abilities would definitely make things easier, but Master Cynric probably wanted her to attend Beacon at least in part so that she wasn't as dependent on her spells.
Either way, the display had the desired effect on the three family members and they were all staring in terrified awe. Taking advantage of the silence, Louise reigned in her lightning and adopted a stern posture. "Magic is real, deal with it. How you can all have Aura without recognizing something so basic is the height of ignorance, let alone the fact that nobody seems to notice the sheer magical presence Headmaster Ozpin has."
Pausing to calm her annoyance at them and herself, she sighed, "Regardless of the collective stupidity, there's no point in denying that this woman is your mother."
"But Summer died years ago!" Yang screamed back, making the pinkette palm her face.
"So? Master Cynric is a necromancer, death doesn't mean much to him." Louise explained, pointing to the spirit. "She's still dead, she's just a ghost now. What about this is so hard to comprehend?"
"All of it!"
Giving up on the brawler, Louise turned to the younger sister... who had been oddly silent so far. Ruby's face was a mess of tears and mucus, but instead of the relief or warmth or whatever she'd been expecting, the girl's expression was full of confusion and anger and betrayal.
No help from that end either.
Throwing her hand up in disgust, the pinkette shouted out, "This is ridiculous! I doubt Hinata would be this difficult in your place!" The hopeful look on the pale-eyed girl's face was almost painful to witness and Louise realized that the Hyuga's mother was actually dead too... and they hadn't even thought to offer to bring the woman back. Retreating from that uncomfortable development, she declared, "I know that this is... confusing, but you don't need to take me at my word. Summer, you can answer whatever questions they have to prove yourself, right?"
"O-of course."
Tugging at her hair, an act that was unprecedented, the blonde growled, "I was six when she died and Ruby was four! What are we supposed to ask, 'What was my favorite kind of juice'?!"
"Grapefruit!" Summer answered immediately with a triumphant smile, which faded with her daughter's glare.
"I can't even say if that's right!" Yang shouted hysterically, the flames of her Semblance growing more intense. "You left! You left us, just like my mom! You can't just show back up out of nowhere!"
As if triggered by her sister's words reflecting her own feelings, Ruby tried to flee the room while Summer sank through the floor with a look of dismay, but Louise caught her ankle with Telekinesis. This was a disaster. Ignoring the sobbing incrimination and screams for freedom, she drew the black and red haired teen close and slapped a burning hand across the girl's cheek. "This is unacceptable. You're both being ill-mannered, inconsiderate toward her circumstances, and shameful. You should be thankful that my teacher took time out of his busy schedule of looking after the welfare of at least one hundred people in order to give your loving mother back to you!"
"Yeah, what do you know?! I had to raise Ruby for a year because our dad couldn't handle losing her and shut down. Our uncle was on a mission in Anima and didn't even know she'd died! She chose a bunch of strangers over her own family! A spoiled little brat like you wouldn't understand what that kind of betrayal feels like!" The blonde challenged.
In the moment it took for Yang's words to register, Louise thought she could hear Hinata's head snap over toward the blonde in horror. Imagined or not, that was quickly drowned out by the rush of blood in her ears as what the ignorant slag had just said fully sank in.

A/N: I didn't say they were positive results. To anyone who thought the reunion would be smoothed over so easily, I refer you to the lyrics of
Ruby's theme song. Thankfully, you guys have worked so hard on Louise's restraint that there's no way she would just snap at something like this... wait no, that never happened. Oops?
