O my god, Cynric! "Oh yeah, I spent the last week summoning random dark elves and killing them... All for the sake of booze."

[X] Curiosity killed the cat... well, that and a knife to the throat. No need to risk her spilling your secrets.

Well, she's obviously taking dangerous risks chasing down people... I mean, dunno we can probably make some sort of deal with her.

A team of 3 is kind of noticeable back in Beacon and killing students/hunters usually is something that gets you noticed. We don't want attention, and Blake's someone who rationalizes a looootttt... so we can probably do it.

[X] Wait for her to wake up and then explain things, maybe this can be turned to your benefit.

I mean, can we put up some sort of barrier/seal so Blake can't escape while we talk? I don't want to start having to play the whole 'start piling up murders and lies to cover up murders and lies' until we've caused a mess large enough to chase us out of the world... again.

TLDR: Murder probably should be plan B here... oh no B for Blake. :V

[X] Wait for her to wake up and then explain things, maybe this can be turned to your benefit.
-[X] Let her speak first and get her to explain why she's currently on your property.

Should be interesting to see what Cynric's explanation for this. Really though, all she thinks she knows is that Shino is getting up to some shady activities and is tangentially related to us, there's quite alot of ways to spin that. We don't have to dig ourselves into a hole here. Plus with whatever horrors she saw on the other side of the portal we might even be able to do the whole "We found you passed out here, are you alright young miss? You look quite stressed.".

Not to mention that Blake has every reason to avoid getting authorities involved, what with the whole 'Ex-Terrorist' thing. Murder for plan B all the way.

"Shino's a bug faunus, a distant cousin of Victoria and Tsun. My employees were worried about the white fang, so I sent him to do some reconnaissance into their activities." Literally one of the easiest explanations.

Now dont forget. Tsun has the intelligence of a rabbit right now. And while Blakie is a cat, I'm sure it is still inappropriate behavior.

uh... She's in the portal room of the kwama mine... Which is under Mountain Glenn.. And the portal is off... And she doesn't smell like kwama, Cattleya, or kwama eggs since she has been away at school.

Oh. Oh dear. I missed that.

Well, then seems more like we need to keep her from leaving for her own safety rather than ours huh. Gotta keep her away from the kwama.

Before we send Blake to a farm upstate, we should at least try diplomacy. She only thought Shino looked like white fang and saw our super secret portal. She doesn't know about our dust theft or the deathstar in the basement.

She wants to end racism? Cynric's all about equality. All races are equally inferior to reachmen. She's willing to join dubious orgizations to see her goals realized? That could be us. She doesn't like violent methods? Well, that's usually a last resort for us.

Please tell me we can recruit,

Cons: We take on a relatively big security risk by letting her live.

Pros: I want to see Blackie's mind broken over our knee. I want to create a Louise 2.0, only with less racism, and more Reek, Reek, it rhymes with Freak. Also E X P E R I M E N T S. Also, surely having a competent huntress and second apprentice will do wonders for Louise's self-esteem.

Other Con: If we don't kill her, we lose the opportunity to feed her to the Kwama alive, then feed said Kwama to Pyrrha to sate her unending bloodlust. Bonus points if, mid-chew, Pyrrha spits out her cat ears in front of the Beacon mess hall.

Well she didn't see shit anyways

Yet... yet he didn't look at her with betrayal, anger, or anything of the sort. He just let it all roll over him as if he didn't notice, only reacting once when Cardin made the mistake of physically assaulting him. The ignorant bastard didn't make that mistake again and even stopped his bullying for a few days after the nurse let him go. Between his good looks, cool and collected attitude, obvious strength, and a past she could relate to, Blake would be lying if she said she wasn't somewhat interested... but so was most of the female, and some of the male, population of the school.
How does nobody notice that he does literally nothing in class?

Other than combat class, you mean and what makes you think they don't? Ignoring authority figures while brooding over a tragic and mysterious past is, like, totally bad boy material.

Plus, I refer you to season 1 where almost everyone sleeps during classes that don't involve violence.

Does Saito actually benefit from combat instruction, or are teachers going to get very frustrated at the way it keeps reverting back to bad habits?

[X] POV Switch: Louise.

Based on her POV, Blackie sounds like a prime candidate for some opportunistic befriending!

Still Hearts: The Continuing Adventures of Tsun, Undead Harem Protagonist.

I'm loving the assumptions being made here, it's very much like the theories about Louise that were being tossed around in Worm, and that was wonderful stuff.

Team Ripple: Because we don't have the right letters for Team Aristocrats!

Sorry, I meant as a way of dealing with Blake. She's basically a Kajiit right?

I'm getting Vista flash backs. That didn't solve anything last time. While it might now, why bother? When Cynric could talk his way into an asexual's panties. It's still a good idea though. It can be her signing bonus, the addiction will ensure her loyalty?

Let's not get a combat assist hooked on something that'll make them less useful in combat.

Again, we're trying to help Louise (as one of the things we're doing here right?) get some friends and some-what more emotionally stable. We can't just keep having to drop everything to stop her from exploding moons or something when she loses it. We've got experiments to run! Money to make, airship... uh flying fortresses to build!

edit: and I'd like to have a nice return point somewhere that we haven't ruined.

Bemusing Blackie
By the time that the girl finally comes to, Shino has left to go help Kiba with his necromancy studies. You, on the other hand, are busy directing a trio of undead Kwama in excavating another side chamber connecting to the portal room to serve as a brewery.

Hearing her stirring, you leave the zombies to their work and slowly approach as she collects herself. Since you aren't sure what she knows or why she even decided to follow Shino down here, waiting for her to make the first move is probably for the best. It isn't long before she notices that she isn't alone in the room and sits up on Cattleya's bed with a start.

"Where am I?" Not the revealing sort of first words you were hoping for.

Well, it's not as if you would be giving anything away by answering that. "Blackie, was it?"

"Wha- No, that's just a stupid nickname, my name is Blake."

Nodding in acceptance of her correction, you continue. "We are currently in a kwama nest... though I confess to some confusion as to why you are here."

Turning to take in the room, you can see her eyes slide from the large eggs to the forager worms to the workers that she has no way of knowing are zombies. "Kwama... nest? So these bugs are the things that make the eggs we've been eating?"

"Indeed."

"Huh, okay then." Blake says blandly as she watches a scrib poke its head in curiously. After several long moments of silence, she adds, "Well, it's better than most bug based food I've had."

Crossing your arms, you give her a pointed look at the way she's avoiding your implied question. Even with how obviously practiced she is with keeping her emotions off of her face, the fact that you removed her bow while she slept means that her cat ears are free to betray her. Seeing the little triangles flatten themselves against her head, you absently wonder if the girl has human ears as well, but the irrelevant thought is quickly discarded as she speaks.

"I know I'm not one of your employees anymore and that this is technically trespassing, but please don't call the police. I had a good reason, I swear!" At her declaration, you raise a brow and gesture for her to elaborate before you do just that... not that you would actually do something like that.

Potential corpse to raise aside, bringing in the local law enforcement would risk drawing official attention and it would allow her to go free with no assurance that she wouldn't cause problems in the future. Thankfully, like any young woman in such a predicament, she jumps at the opportunity to talk her way out of trouble.

"Look Mr. Tyne, I respect what you're doing. The way you don't discriminate against anyone because of their race or background is wonderful... but you need to be careful about who exactly you're hiring. I have reason to believe one of your employees is working with the White Fang."

Unimpressed, you ask, "Oh? And why should I be concerned when I do not recall doing anything to attract those malcontents."

"Are you serious?! They're the White Fang! The fact that you, a human, have hired so many faunus is reason enough to get their attention!"

"Increasing the volume of your words does not make them any more believable. You do realize your predicament, yes?" You chide, causing her to shut her mouth with a click of teeth. "Now, pretend for a moment that I am actually concerned about this band of ruffians; you say one of my employees is one of these terrorists. Why?"

Blake's expressions grows pinched for a moment, as if she'd just heard something unbelievably idiotic, before she sighs. "It shouldn't be something to pretend. I caught one of the guys here taking off the Fang's signature Grimm mask. I followed him for a while and he came straight here. I don't know what they're planning, but he knows about this place... Actually, they probably want that portal machine used to get between Kwama Korp and here."

"You seem to be quite familiar with their way of thinking." You innocently point out.

Thinning her lips, she seems to think about her next words carefully. When she eventually replies, it is to admit, "I... Used to be a member."

"Gasp." You say in monotone, not even bothering to act surprised.

"You knew? How did you know?!" The girl demands, her eyes narrowing dangerously.

Paralysis prepared and a vial of Night Eye potion ready to splash in her face in the even that Aura can block the spell, you answer, "I most certainly did not ask Hei, the man that you went to for forged paperwork to enter Beacon, to find background information on those I was hiring."

Honestly, how naive did this child think you are?

"B-but I... You... Why would you hire me if you knew?!"

"Why not?" Comes your rebuttal.

"I could have been a threat!"

"As if I would be intimidated by some light terrorism. Please, by the time you came in to work, I already knew that you had left the group. It was hardly an important detail, nothing to make you unemployable." You scoff. "Also, you are yelling again."

"Of course I'm yelling! What the hell even is this?!"

"This is you completely failing to account for the fact that our mutual associate is the premier information broker on the continent. One who also has ties to a greater criminal syndicate that extends throughout the territories of both Mystral and Atlas. As a side note, the boy you followed was actually one of Hinata's ninja partners that I sent on a mission to scout out your former friends."

That is the last straw that her fragile mind can take and Blake's eyes glaze over in a complete lack of comprehension. It's always amusing to see somebody's assumptions come crashing down around their ignorant head. Alas, you still need to come to some sort of arrangement with the girl, lest you be forced to remove her from the equation and open your apprentice to complications when the academy notices the lack of cat-girl.

[X] Explain to the catgirl that morality, especially in social fringes groups, is quite flexible, and quite often it is a lot more effective to dismantle terrorist groups by offering more lucrative and pleasant employment to the less dedicated members and seizing their resources than by physically assaulting them. Attacking them only helps them recruit, and valuable resources are destroyed to no useful end. Now if she's willing to keep your activities a secret, you'd see about leaving the local White Fang nothing but a core of fanatics with nothing to their name, in exchange for keeping her secret.
-[X] If she's willing to help now, you could use some insider information on the White Fang to help things go smoother. Not directly recruiting her into the operation yet, considering her rather brittle morals, but thats something you can work on later.
