The Heart of Darkness from Darkest Dungeon, but clown themed.
Ah, the other game featuring someone going crazy, digging a huge underground facility, splitting into four parts amd leaving his offspring to clean up the mess.

I suppose X should be thankful that her EX-level Agents didn't refuse to work with anything less than an ALEPH because it was "beneath them".

Don't we also have scenes featuring the pair in Sidestories? I didn't see anything obviousy bad in those, either.

I mean, I think it makes sense to be suspicious about Argalia's intentions for X and the Light, but that seems kind of orthogonal to how he treats Leonie. And so far, he's given no real cause for doubt on this front, so isn't it okay, at least for now?

Regarding Argalia "grooming" Distortions, I feel like that's a severe misunderstanding of his character. The guy hates common sense and imposition of external standards with a passion; that's his entire schtick. It follows that he'd probably object to the sort of actions you're attributing to him rather strongly, no?

We'll see about that when we get to talk with him more.

He's honest about what he wants.

But X so far hasn't extended the same thing yet. Who know what tune he'll sing if X, the Seed of Light basically, tell him to get some therapy.

Convincing him to let Leonia interact with our kids serves the same purpose anyway.

This is too much of a foreign scenario to use old data on him.

For one thing, he's fully distorted here instead of being on the edge like with the ensemble.

Two, Leonia is a kid. Not fully grown adults like the Ensemble.

Three, he is trying to work with X instead of against her like Angela/Roland.

Four, he is completely in the dark with X. Well, not completely but without Carmen helping out, he has basically 0 idea of X's intention given that he still thinks X want the same things Carmen promises him.

And lastly...

We should probably ask him whether he still hear Mommy Dearest's voice in his head.

If X can be his Sun instead of Carmen, we have a lot more ways to try and convert him into a genuine ally instead of a walking time bomb.

The main part I disagree with is him staying with her unmonitored, if you want to give him the benefits of the doubt that much, I can propose an alternative to outright adopting her:

Have him move with us, I don't want him out of our sight free to groom her in any way he wants, hell, if he turns out to be reasonable that even allows us to have fun by telling to Roland that we moved in with his brother in law just like he moved in with our sister.

Still, the guy sends blaring alarms signals in my head and I do find it baffling how chill some people are with him, I literally do not understand how you would want to let him do what he wants with a child that is explicitly very impressionable after what we saw him do and encourage in LoR.

Edit:

Two, Leonia is a kid. Not fully grown adults like the Ensemble.

That's a cause for alarm, not to see the situation as better, she's more vulnerable to what he's doing than them.

THAT'S LITERALLY WHAT'S AM TALKING ABOUT BABY!!!

I'm all for it!

I wanted him staying nearby X from the moment he appeared just so we could get him to be in line of sight!

Last time around, there wasn't much time to fit it in the conversation being so close to the Adult, but this time we have more free time so if there's a vote I'm voting for it.

His treatment of her would be different from how he treats the Ensemble too. He's already caring for her wayyy more than her did for literally any of the Ensemble.

You don't see him treating Philip the same way he did Leonia for a reason.

You also say that he cannot be that bad since he see the Ensemble as true friends, that he lamented how the false Elena was lacking her playful energy, need I remind you what playful energy he's talking about?
Tommy and Merry literally has basically nothing to do with Elena's playful energy.

Infact, isn't Tomerry actually better mentally than the usual flesh blob on the Warp trains?

Anyway, that's beside the point. Usual Elena actually has sentient in comparison to the nearly mindless Elena copy. So of course he lamented her lack of sentience.

There's no reason for him to lament the lack of her sadistic nature when he's on the receiving end of it.

Voting Closed, Chapter approaching.

Chapter will be delayed partly due to a lack of inspiration and partly due to trying to get an AVLS update out for the first time in more than a month, but rest assured I will try to keep as close to schedule as possible.

Another random thought, when Mami's birthday rolls around we should see about getting her one of those T-corp cooking pots that allow you to do days worth of slow cooking in minutes. Maybe one of those boxes that keep the food just out of the oven fresh as well.

It would be expensive and difficult to get but our daughter would love it and that is what is important.

Just be sure not to tell her where the time came from.

True, although taking down Warp Corp would be fairly simple. Just release the information on how Warp Trains work to the public and let that kill their business.

Of course that would take a lot of time and Warp Corp would lash out rather violently if we did that.

It likely wouldn't kill their business wholeheartedly, however. But it would definitely hurt them a lot for sure.

Though saying that, the next time we visit them in Limbus Company, we might get to see the aftermath of what happened to that business of theirs.

The high possibility is... nothing.
The Information did not get breached because there was no Information breach those who can breach the Information is dead, The gaze office did not get the information they want From Warp corp, because Those Low level fixers was dead, Cane office cant get the Information because gaze office is dead, Those W Corp employee did not leak the Information because they were resurrected.
And the only victim out here running around. Is a monster kept by Purple tear, which means they won't be talking.... Not to mention the madness they are suffering.
All in all....the library's existence somehow protected Warp Corp Information from being leaked.
How lucky for them

Actually, quite a lot of chances for a leak are around.

First, the actual victims the passengers are running around. They might be crazy and could be culled, but there's not a low probability for someone to pick them up like Ayin did Garion.
Second, Molar Office and Cane Office are still around. (When did Cane Office die?)
Third, the Puppets, now without their puppeteers, might be a source of information provided someone can figure out what the hell they are saying.

Sure, on the surface, these leads sound practically impossible to deal with but here's the thing.

W-Corp is gonna have to explain how the hell they lost multiple carts worth of people alongside the missing V.I.Ps that became puppets.

People are bound to get more curious for sure.

oh i mean they got called by the Library before they can get a good look, Those low level fixers got called by the library, then they cant get the info anymore. So the gaze office go in and got murdered. So they don't have info.
cane office is the one who hired them, Upon hearing about what could be employee books. They want to go in and take a snoop around as well. And they got murdered, so no look for you, Mr.Nemo.
they did got resurrected like the warp corp employees, yes, but...They didn't get anything to begin with, They got nothing concrete.
And those mad passengers can't really talk that well, don't you think?

It would be interesting for us to see what W-Corp's kill teams are like then. Because the Light has 2 schemers in there that can manipulate where and when the books will be released.
