Would you Distort or manifest EGO?

If we really need a gun, we could ask Mami for help. She turned ribbons into muskets. And magic is apparently teachable in some ways going by that side story with Miss. Fibbs. I'm sure between her, X's brains and her very extensive power set they could cobble together something.

We also have an actual gun (Punishing Birb), laser beam (Blue Star), a couple of speedy rapiers (Knight of Despair), and an actual firing squad capable of being equipped with any kind of weaponry (army in black).

In terms of range options, X isn't lacking at all.

Yes. Yes it does.
That's actually is a good point yeah.

It has the ability to allow you to basically forcefully intercept any attacks, no matter how fast or slow you are.
Although the pocket stun mechanic is probably not as strong as the actual Big Bird's power. We will need to test it later.

It's definitely something valuable that we forgot about.

Blue Star isn't as strong tbh.

Like, while BS is strong against fodders, Lamp is so much stronger that I'm honestly shock and appalled we haven't tried out testing it's target directing capabilities yet.

That's what I meant.

It's strong against fodders. But in terms of things which are greatly more powerful like the enemies we will be dealing with, it's not that good.

Like Argalia over there can basically just ignore the E.G.O's power.

Mainly due to the fact that we have 0 idea how the hell Abnormality guns work.
Can we make a propellant with Mimicry and Eternal Meal?

We know abnormality guns exist like Dead butterflies' and Punishing Bird's, but we have 0 ideas on how to do it with Mimicry.
It comes down to ultimately that question.

Can Mimicry and Eternal Meal make propellants stronger than their muscle strength? They already have artillery-level power with just said muscle strength being used as strings. Would the propellants be worth switching to?

A gun is certainly not a "simple physical weapon". In addition, there is nothing in Mimicry that would play the role of gunpowder.
Eh, I was thinking of using Mimicry's muscles to propel bone shards the same way that Nothing There does Hello? Just do the same thing Mimicry does, then we could just apply our scientific expertise to try to refine the mechanism (if its possible), an there you go! ALEPH grade weaponry that doesnt need both hands, or we could make two pistols for higher output. I mean Pinks would probably still do more damage per shot, but thats a sniper rifle so two pistols would probably have a higher amount of projectiles

It still doesn't sound like a simple weapon. And is it really necessary? We have no shortage of long-range options.

You do know when Nothing There do the Hello! It's not rapid firing them like a gun right?

How do we know that NT isn't just making a small crossbow inside it's arm when it's Hello!?

I think NT is just doing the good old anime trick of *firing a concentrated wind cutter from the pressure of you swinging your sword* when they say hello. Except with a palm trust.

The title is a reference to Argalia and Mami both being charismatic, highly competent combatants with a preference towards refinement and elegance while serving as recruiters for a nebulous manipulative force that they believe they share a strong bond with. They also both have some relations to Italy despite not being italian.
I know it's a little late, but seeing this, maybe the special one hundred chapters thing could be an explanation for select chapter titles. Some of those seem quite mysterious and out-of-the-blue to me, so they probably have some amusing galaxy-brain reasoning behind them.

Eh. Sure you guys have a point that we already have lots of ranged options.

Still, about the chapter, I'm kinda disappointed we didn't get Judgement Bird. Don't get me wrong, Argalia is a very good encounter, but I also wanted to get the last of the birds so that we could start working on Apocalypse Bird's EGO. After all, the only other weapons in game comparable are Da Capo and Paradise Lost, but neither of those are available so I really want to get some of that omni-damage goodness, especially with Lepi saying that this Act will see us fighting against at least 1 Pinnacle.

Wait Da Capo is comparable to TWILLIGHT AND PARADISE LOST?!

I'm pretty sure the only thing even close to those two are Mimicry, Smile, Sound of a Star, and Justitia all working together at once.
Okay, so this is on reference to an old reddit post I found when I first got ALEPHS and started searching on which ones to prioritize. Now the man/woman did their maths, and out of all the ALEPH weapons, nothing is even remotely comparable to Twilight's 50 DPS when accounting for Twilight EGO Suit. However, the two runner ups are Paradise Lost and Da Capo sitting at 18.33 and 18.5 respectively. Of course, that assumes that Paradise Lost is only targeting 1 hostile. At 2-5 targets, that goes up to 19-23 each, while 6+ targets has 16-20 for each one.

Wait do we have consistent sources for each damage type?
EDIT: Good, we do. (Though if the enemy resists melee we can't deal black damage)

Look at you all experimenting.
Anyway, just here mention one thing.
Don't combine EGO.
The result will be unstable and destructive by any means.
Two undestructible ideas combining into each other is gonna create something that I cannot imagine, but certainly dangerous to everyone involved, even we.
The idea itself is stupid, Egos, at least in lobotomy corporation is shards of abnormality ripped off and used by humans, and right now we are using the power of abnormality itself.
Mixing the shards will create something I cannot imagine, but certainly dangerous.
Normal human cannot even hold two shards at the same time without EGO corrosion. So combining the two directly together...
What will happen if unstoppable object come across an undestructible wall?
