Having EGO stops you from distorting from what is known, we have an example of that in distortion detective.

Given that, I wouldn't be surprised if the opposite was true and distorting stopped you from gaining EGO.
 
You can still undistort.

But we haven't seen people unmanifest their E.G.O yet. Though that is probably impossible given that even when she lost her way Gebura still had her E.G.O.

And that was before the seed of light too so it might be even more improbable now.

So I was looking at our Mimicry and saw this:

So my mind got thinking about what a good ranged option would be. Even though it can transform into a bow and arrow (which surprised me) I still want to look into other options to be safe. One weapon my brain kept coming back to was the sling.

While not terribly complex in terms of design (it's some animal pelts/skin formed into a band), the mechanics behind the sling are what makes it so potent for us. A sling uses centrifugal force to swing an object around before launching it. Our super-human body combined with Mimicry's overall destructive potential will exasperate this even further.

That we can make our own ammunition is the cherry on top.

Plus I'm just having fun thinking up new ways to use our powers.

Edit: Our aforementioned super-human physiology will let us swing the sling at absurd speeds. Plus it's faster to reload.

If you want an alternative to the bow that uses just as much of our super strength and is even faster to use, there's is these:


A bow is still better, but that thing can pack more of a punch than you'd expect, and is faster on the draw than a sling you have to wind-up first.
 
... Why not a Gun? I mean, Mimicry is an ALEPH class EGO, so we dont have to worry about durability issues, so the mechanism could be as strong as we want. Given how brilliant Ayin and by extension X is, I doubt they dont know how to apply their knowledge to make good guns. Add that to Mimicry, and we could have some extremely strong ranged options. Hell, we could dual wield by splitting into two pistols. It would be like if Funeral of Dead Butterflies did RED damage and was an ALEPH class!
 
Mainly due to the fact that we have 0 idea how the hell Abnormality guns work.
Can we make a propellant with Mimicry and Eternal Meal?

We know abnormality guns exist like Dead butterflies' and Punishing Bird's, but we have 0 ideas on how to do it with Mimicry.
It comes down to ultimately that question.

Can Mimicry and Eternal Meal make propellants stronger than their muscle strength? They already have artillery-level power with just said muscle strength being used as strings. Would the propellants be worth switching to?

A gun is certainly not a "simple physical weapon". In addition, there is nothing in Mimicry that would play the role of gunpowder.
 
Well. That or the Blood Sac E.G.O of Headless Icthsys.

Mainly because I'm pretty Nothing There literally doesn't bleed (no physical damage can harm it), and I don't think it's good at using its own blood as a weapon.

Eternal Meal and Mimicry combined are just the ultra-unga-bunga sadly. It's great at throwing it own body parts but not that great at using them as a water cutter.

Right. Uh. She's...Actually, I'm not sure.

Unlike Nosferatu or Headless Shark, Melting Love's liquid is already so lethal that you want to douse the enemy in it rather than just cutting through them super quickly.

If she's outside of the Qliphoth Terrence field, she's probably capable of serving as a melting acid hose.
 
What if we used the HyperCutter as a Super Soaker instead for ML?
Also another one that could work is Dreaming Current's weird liquid rainbows

Hm. We could theorize, but until we meet those guys, we probably should wait for it.

By the way Lepid! Will any of the new abnormalities make a surprise appearance? Like Ebony Queen, Alleyway Watch Dog, Do you want to get beat? Hurtily?, and the doomsday calender.
 
I foresee that we will not be able to obtain Nosferatu's EGO equipment for the same reason that we cannot complete the Der Freischütz seedling in any way - there is too little coincidence in their nature.
Also, I seriously doubt that you can combine these things on a whim, even if there was no simple weapon rule. After all, EGO equipment is much more than things with strange shapes and properties.
 
Yeah. That's another problem.
We can't really combine them with each other at all really.

But the Ordeals lying inside X can integrate with them. Like how Mimicry integrated with Eternal Meal, or how Army In Black integrated with Last Helix.

And even then, it's not exactly combining. The Ordeals are just using the existing E.G.Os to serve as a gateway for them to manifest themselves easier since those Ordeals only exist within X's world.
