Eh. That's to be expected. The girls are acting normally as they should.

Though color me surprise! The Light couldn't offset their soul gems' grief problem?
Grief accumulates on the Soul, so unless you're willing to be constantly pumping Light into the souls of a bunch of teenagers who were specifically chosen for emotional instability, no.

Hm...In that case. Here's my proposed "order" of things we should drop on them.

We need to get them to focus on another topic of things. And then slowly drop the bomb on them. So here's my plan!

[X] Plan: Ticking Bomb
-[X] Explain their rescue from Nothing There
--[X] Explain that due to the unique nature of NT's power, they never really died in the first place. Quickly move to the next topic before they have a chance to ask about the Lich Bomb.
---[X] Inform them of the supply of Grief Seeds, then inform them about Lobotomy and how you can use it infinitely.

----[X] Mechanics of the Library and Light reconstruction.
-----[X] Drop the Lich Bomb. Gently.

Edit: Made it to be more reasonable. And less vague.

To explain the first one. That is meant just to get their attention and make them stop overthinking things. I am struggling with how the hell am I supposed to word it better. And would like you guys' thoughts on it.

Because we need something to catch all of their attention. But at the same time not clue them into the Lich Bomb.

Edited: Nyarky's worries accounted for.

This Isn't A Daycare, Is It?

Well, quite a lot of the firsts residents were all very old, take that as you wish. :V

The Library is made to contain Abnormalities within their ideal worlds, allowing them to exhibit their natures unrestrained without causing any harm. With you as the head of a Floor where you are also supposedly meant to be interred, some bleed-over has occurred between your two homes in the Library. Here, some deeper part of you feels at ease. The tension that comes with scrambling for control is gone, and you are in your proper place once again.

*Remember all the time he posited that our floor would be a place where we could stretch pur wings at least a little*

Well, seems like I was right.

A ginger girl in a white suit decorated in red diamond patters stares down at you from atop one of the sculptures, flames around her fading to mere cinders.

Whatshername from the NT sidestory.

Her having red hairs explains quite a lot of why NT liked it that much.

Across from her is a black-haired girl with a large black witch's hat, slowly lowering a cross-shaped staff.

Kazumi! Good to see the second best cinamon roll of the pmmm's spinoffs is here (first is Yuma).

On the other end of the room, one of the shorter kids has pinned another to the ground and was halfway through strangling them when you arrived.

Might be a pleiades saint, one of them is short.

"I don't know what I was expecting leaving so many children unattended in one room together, but I had hoped for at least a bit more maturity than immediately resorting to trying to kill each other."

Disappointed Mom mode, engaged.

Two others, an orange-haired girl in some sort of school uniform and another with blue hair and a vaguely religious costume, close ranks behind her.

The surviving members of the pleiades, it seems like Kazumi magica did happen, wait, no, it can't have reached it's conclusion, Kazumi's costume is still black, it becomes white at the end after her wish… did Nothing there crash the ending?

Grief Seeds and cleansing will bother be provided,

Typo, both, but we will probably bother giving it too. :V

Order will matter here.

I propose telling them that witches are made from magical girls first thing, that should gives us more grief seed and remove the most unstable elements in one fell swoop!

What do you mean, *the Adult who tells Lies approve of this plan*?

Though color me surprise! The Light couldn't offset their soul gems' grief problem?

And unfortunately the other main way I was thinking on using, large scale Lobotomy, is also out for now.

We are going to have to juggle these girls needs.

Grief accumulates on the Soul, so unless you're willing to be constantly pumping Light into the souls of a bunch of teenagers who were specifically chosen for emotional instability, no.

*Carmen approves of this plan*

¿Can someone enlighten us and tell us who the girls are? besides kazumi and her group

That's about it on canon characters, and Kazumi having only two teammates left means that we don't have to fear about the soujou twins, they should already be dead.

[X] Plan: Ticking Bomb
-[X] Explain their rescue from Nothing There
--[X] Explain that due to their unique nature as Magical Girls and NT's power, they survived being used as NT's shell. Quickly move to the next topic before they have a chance to ask about the Lich Bomb. That is for later.
---[X] Inform them of the supply of Grief Seeds, if they bring up how little that is, inform them about Lobotomy and how you can use it infinitely.

----[X] Mechanics of the Library and Light reconstruction.
-----[X] Drop the Lich Bomb.

Not bad, but maybe more emphasis on making sure to point out that they're alive?

Just a little rephrasing or addition should do, something like: *Explain that due to their unique nature as Magical Girls and NT's power, they survived being used as NT's shell. They never died in the fist place*

Problem is of course that you have to balance not having them linger on the lichbomb too much.

Why did it have to be Japanese teenagers? If they had been from any western country, the lichbomb wouldn't be as dangerous, but here, we risk Sayaka 2.0.

Anyway:

[X] Plan: Ticking Bomb

I currently don't have any better ideas.

Ah got it. That could definitely work.

I mostly thought of it because the girl who is panicking right now is quite insistent on still being alive, so it seems a good thing to address first in a very explicit way, your phrasing wasn't bad but it didn't highlight it enough IMO.

Edit:
I believe her name is Ibuki Sayo.

Oh, I did check whatshername, I just didn't bother typing it. :V

I changed it to this after that. "Explain that due to the unique nature of NT's power, they never really died in the first place."

You made a good point since I was feeling like I missed a way to make it more simple.

This way, we won't have to tackle the subject too much, and can just offload everything to the "It's a monster, I don't gotta explain it too much" problem.

That works.

Now I wonder if we should ask to break for a vote on tackling the lichbomb?

It isn't an easy subject, then again, we can probably let X take care of it on autopilot since she's perfectly able to gauge the situation.

Hmmm, it might be good to add a *gently* on your *Drop the lichbomb* line, just to make sure?

Sure. Added.

One thing I will note tho. We should probably ask for a secluded area to train with Roland and Gebura later.

Mimicry will 100% give these girls a PTSD attack.

Does X know about Catholicism? Because that could be a good non-sequitur to ask "Are any of you Catholic?" before going into the Lich-bomb

(I'm agnostic btw, just in case that matters)

inb4 Hokma chimes in to convince them to convert to our lord and savior Sir Ayin

She probably does...But I feel like we would have to tackle it regardless of whether they are or aren't catholic.

I ma just let Lepid do what is considered Gently in this case. No need to bloat the vote more.

Does the Library get inter-dimensional phone reception? Because they might want to call their families or anyone else they might have had a commitment to before coming down with a case of Nothing There.

Given what abnormalities we have on our floor, we can probably convert them to a new religion easily, just show them CENSORED, Bam! New converts! :V

I think we'd need more then a phone call for most of the cases even if we can give them.

Most are probably girls that were already considered missing or dead even before NT happened, and the fact that NT did let bodies behind means that the others are also legally dead with a body (or what's left of it) already given to their family.

The magical girl's life is not really good at letting them stay in touch with the modern world, almost as if it was by design, in fact. *Look at Kyubey*

I'm more interested in the reaction of someone from "our" world when they figure out that X and her whole family are a bunch of Kabbalist chuunis.

Mami probably has the best chances, she seems like the erudite type that would know stuff about real-world Judaism.

(Inb4 one of the daycare-bound magical girls does an otaku squee of joy when visiting the Floor of Religion, which is basically a giant Evangelion theme park, lol)

They would need to hear all the names of X's extended family first to figure out that her dad and mom are hardcore kabbalist fans. Gebura is a start. And Hokma later on too.

We actually should wake the old man up yeah. He got experience when it comes to dealing with faith.

It would also be interesting to see how Hokma treat the "new" X.

Sayo-chan! Good to see you little worse for wear. But why you gotta be starting trouble as an opening move? Like sure it's a valid concern, but there's good ways to broch a topic and bad. You seemed to have picked bad.

Oh well, dumb kids traumatized by combat and realizing their lives are on a timer they can watch tick away aren't prone to making the best of decisions.

Nothing really wrong with the vote in content, but it was messy so I cleaned it up.

But it does make me wonder how you guys intend to handle the girls that know they'll turn into witches and keeping them from telling the ones that don't.
