ta da.
I call BS on that, if your named after a color it should be a color that your already associated with. And "Magical Girl Goddess White" does sound many times better than "Magical Girl Goddess Green

I do feel like we should work on our control though
"burn everything" is an excellent tactic, but not when there are things nearby, such as younger sisters and suspiciously well-traveled mages, that we wish to remain unburned
Magic runs on concepts so...I'm thinking it might be possible to set up a whitelist of things NEVER to hurt, and put Una on it. Warding spell?I do feel like we should work on our control though

Eh, maybe not the latter...I do feel like we should work on our control though

Ignition Aura
Level 4
-Create an Aura of Fire around you. Deals (25 * 1.2^level) damage to every enemy within 25 metres.
Plate Armour
Level 1
-Cerys is of steel and fire. Increase Base Resilience by (10 * 1.3^level. Rounded up.)
Reinforcement
Level 5
-Strengthen your body with magic. Increases base damage by 5% per Level.
I also like that this is passive now. This is basically 12HP/h, or a full heal in about eight hours. If we grind it higher, things will become even better.Regeneration
Level 5
-Passively heals Cerys for 1% total health every 5 minutes.
I'm not sure what you mean behind value? It's 25 * 1.2^level. This is damage per turn.Questions about the changes:
For these two... first, could you write the current value behind the calculation? That would make gauging the strength of Ignition Aura (and Alpha and Omega) a lot easier.
Secondly, you still need to change the calculation on Plate Armour to 1.3^(level - 1) or change our Base Resilience because it is not 13.
On that note, does that mean Cerys has no innate Base Resilience? Plate Armour only increases what is already there, so she seems to have nothing... but every being has at least a little bit. Like 5 or something... so our BR should be either 15 or 18.
Is this counted only in battle or could you just multiply it with our current Base Damage to avoid forgetting about it later?
(Which would then be 13 for now; not much of a difference, but still...)
I also like that this is passive now. This is basically 12HP/h, or a full heal in about eight hours. If we grind it higher, things will become even better.
By the way, I made a few calculations and found that powering the armour via EXP is next to useless.
If we push it up to lv20, it will give us about 1,900 Base Resilience; pushing it that high would cost... ugh... 31,500 EXP. That defense bonus is next to nothing when the big players appear.
The same actually goes for Alpha and Omega as well; the start damage is so small it might as well be nonexistent against anything stronger than a mook.
[For reference, putting that to lv20 for 31,500 EXP would give us an AoE for 950 damage per turn. It doubles with each turn, but this is still ridiculously low, especially for the fact that we are supposed to grow the fastest out of everyone.]
Basically, the best course of action would be to somehow grind up our Ignition Aura and then buy its upgrade for massive damage.
Pushing Regeneration for healing and then find a way for more HP sounds like the best chance of getting some tankiness, if we want to go for defense.
@Rukia, maybe you should think over the EXP costs, or the growth curves, or the starting values again. I know we are supposed to find stuff through experimenting and spending time training it... but these numbers are ridiculously low.
How slow are all the other Magical Girls supposed to grow?
Edit: By the way, can we still level our stuff by training it?
A sword master? In year 2000?I'm not sure what you mean behind value? It's 25 * 1.2^level. This is damage per turn.
Your armour and sword multipliers are applied after level 1. I should probably just change that to start from lv1 to make it simpler.
Reinforcement is applied during battle, it's not added pre-emptively because it requires an activation right now. Get it working passively and I'll add it to your Base Damage outside of battle.
Yes, it is supposed to take you a very long time to level up to Über-Strength. You aren't Nepgear, you are much closer to Red Rose in her (very) early days.
This story is supposed to take you from 2000 to at least 2010, that's a decade minimum (so long as you don't completely derail my plot). You have plenty of time to grow.
Though, the cost of things will go down and your growth will accelerate A - The more people believe in MG'S and B - The higher your existence goes.
ATM you are just story, become badass and survive and you'll eventually reach Myth/Legend/Epic/Divine and so on.
You can level things in character by taking an action and experimenting with it, but you can also do so with XP.
Going to a swordsman and asking for lessons can level your sword and Bladed Weaponry, training to take hits will level your armour and so on.
Other magical girls will grow slower or faster than you. You are decidedly in the middle of the growth curve. A Divine girl could show up and burn her way to your level very quickly, or a Maker would grow even slower than you.
A lot of your abilities will have 1.2* -> 1.3/1.4* shop items in the future.
Right now you are still mook tier.
LolA sword master? In year 2000?
Welp, better train ourselves with dedication.
Specifically with our sword and Ignition Aura.
Maybe spar with our new travling partner.
I'm not sure what you mean behind value? It's 25 * 1.2^level. This is damage per turn.
He let out a shaky laugh as he stared at his hand, firmly clenched on the trigger and looked at the side of his gun. The safety was on, he'd turned off his safety when he called out to them. With a huff, he sat down and stared out into the woods, reaching for his radio to call in that they'd gotten away.
Maybe.Lol
There are a lot of swordsmen still floating about in this day and age. Hell, just going to a LARP event and asking for some instructions would help massively.
It will probably become more popular once MG's become a thing, since a lot of them have bladed weaponry and need teachers or it will just be a new fad.
Ofc, there are magical swordsmen/women in the world. A possible avenue.
Eh, best to learn on our own until the point we get rid of the negative Modifier.I mean that our Ignition Aura is lv4 right now; so I would like to have a little [Current Damage: 51 per turn] behind the formula so I do not have to pull out the calculator every time the level goes up or I want to make a strategy for battle.
As for the slow growth... fair enough, I guess. I still think this is ridiculously slow.
Also, is Cerys the only one capable of changing her growth-affinity?
Furthermore, a note for everyone, right now it is actually more useful to buy the first few levels with EXP because the price only increases as the level grow; if we train first and buy later, it will cost more.
And lastly, I like the fact that you let us upgrade the growth-formulas later... but I am not sure whether I like that you do it for everything we have instead of a select few things.
As for the lessons in swording, we can just ask Ebony Knight once we meet her. She uses one as well.
By the way, Best Forest just got more bonus points from me.
I realised that this was most likely the spirit. Or Gaia, but she is acting weird in this installment, so I am not so sure on that.
I can be hopeful, can't I?Anything above mook-tier one-shots us with a good hit. A Demon of Due, one tier above mook, has 150 Base Damage; even five levels in armour would not make us survive that... except if the damage reduction from our Ignition Aura also grows with its level.
It did take off a bit of damage in the initial encounter, after all.
If this was the case, we might barely survive with half of our bones broken and several internal bleedings.
Can-do.I mean that our Ignition Aura is lv4 right now; so I would like to have a little [Current Damage: 51 per turn] behind the formula so I do not have to pull out the calculator every time the level goes up or I want to make a strategy for battle.
Nope, everyone can change their growth affinity. It will increased depending on how much of a badass you are and how long you've been alive. As for the slow growth... fair enough, I guess. I still think this is ridiculously slow.
Also, is Cerys the only one capable of changing her growth-affinity?
Not everything has upgraded growth formulas. At the moment I only plan on having Ignition Aura and maybe Alpha and Omega as having this. Other abilities might just get something like. And lastly, I like the fact that you let us upgrade the growth-formulas later... but I am not sure whether I like that you do it for everything we have instead of a select few things.
JOLLY CO-OPERATIONAs for the lessons in swording, we can just ask Ebony Knight once we meet her. She uses one as well.
That was actually a T2 Mook that was a little nerfed.Anything above mook-tier one-shots us with a good hit. A Demon of Due, one tier above mook, has 150 Base Damage; even five levels in armour would not make us survive that...
ATM it's just a flat 10%, but if you look into it you can probably find/create ways to up that to 15/20/25 and so on.except if the damage reduction from our Ignition Aura also grows with its level.
S-S-S-Sun bro?
