You know another reason to divine the gods now is that it gives us a minimum of two turns to react to the information where as if we do it next turn we might only have one turn to act on the results.

Guys, having his soul utterly obliterated may actual be the best thing that can happen to Saint Lyn (any human really but especially Saint Lyn) because the Abomination is waiting for him on the other side of the veil and it has a bone to pick with the good saint. The kinds of torments he would be subjected to in the Warp do not bear thinking of, hell it could even reshape the tatters of his soul into some kind of Angyl set to twist the hearts of men to tyranny against everything he believed in life.

In fact the best hope of any Avernite is that the planet mind eats the souls of all that die within its sphere of influence. It puts on interesting spin on those "insane" enough to worship the planet doesn't it?

@Enjou, why aren't you doing Spying on Gods? It'll help with the Waaagh Frequency research and give us more information as to what's going on.

You know what I am just going to create my own plan rather than try and convince Enjou to change.

Note I only changed Arbites and the Telepathica actions if you are looking for differences and my reasons for the changes.
[X] Plan Notte T84

Accept the offer for AM from the Trust.

Adeptus Arbites
SLOT A - Year 1
Y1-Y2: Motherhood
Y3: Psyker Hunting

Putting Spying on the gods the same turn that Tamia examines the Waaagh Frequencies to both get the synergy and to not have to mess around with double downs. Also Having Xaiver doing a honing an edge before rejoining the campaign to lower the chances of injury while increasing the damage he will do.

@Enjou, why aren't you doing Spying on Gods? It'll help with the Waaagh Frequency research and give us more information as to what's going on.

Because people can't make up their goddamn minds about whether we should do it now or later. I asked if we should do it or wait a turn, more people said wait, then they said don't, then they said wait. Then they just stopped talking about it, so I figured it was settled.

Also, just to note on the flip side, doing the frequency research first could help the Spying action.

If you are still taking input I think we should do it now.

Not correct.

The way I read it they should be done together to support each other.
@Durin
A few questions about the psyker action Honing an Edge and general psyker odds
  1. If Ridcully took it before either the Spying on Gods or Fanning the Flames actions, would it provide any bonus? If so, how much?
  2. If Xavier took it, would it provide a flat +10 to his d100 Deploy roll, or would it give him +10 to his something like 1000 effective combat skill?
  3. Can you give us a rough estimate of the odds of Xavier dying per year deployed? Like, are we talking .1%, 1%, 5%, or 10%?
  4. Would the Spying on Gods likely synergize with the Waaagh frequency research?
1. no
2. +10 to 1000
3. depends on several rolls but 1% to 5%, I will mention that he has a higher chance of getting new traits when deployed
4. yes

Someone else can do that because screw messing around with the double downs since i don't want to mess around with all the math that would require. Also I don't see how much of boost frequencies can give spying since we already only have a 5% chance of failure.

How about we don't treat Lin like an experiment and make his last year's agony filled by messing with his body as he approaches complete soul annihilation.
Maybe treat him like a respected Holy man and let him face total oblivion in dignity?

Maybe we should try to give him some choices? Why do you think that simply leaving him slowly burning is the best option for him? It's likely that with time process will only become more painful.

I'm certain if he wants options he can and will ask for them if he has not done so already.

Its not as if his death has just loomed up on him out of no where, he's had a very long time to consider it and he knows what he wants so let him make that choice.

He's not an inanimate puppet.

Ok so we do have confirmation that finishing waaagh frequencies will help with the spying actions. So it makes sense to put off spying till next turn when it is done so it will be safer and give more information to Ridicule.

As for Lin, Durin has the characters make there own decisions and Saint Lin is the last Saint. If he wants to do something he will do it. So just ask Durin if the saint wants to do something.

Durin said that Lin is unsure about becoming a Princeps. He isn't opposed to it on principle. Depending on how likely it is to work, he may or may not agree.

It is possible but has a chance of killing him or making his soul burn out faster, and there is a high chance that nothing of him would be left after his death. Remember he is dying of his soul being burnt out by its own power, that is a very unavoidable and permanent death.c

Huh, I'm slightly surprised that no-one has suggested that, since his soul will be annihilated anyways, he should offer himself to the Sirens in his last years or asked how many credits it would be worth.
1. How big would the riots be if we were to suggest that?
2. How long would it take the rest of the Trust to turn on us?
...
3. How many credits would his soul be worth? :p

EDIT: This is a joke, not meant to be taken seriously.
