Futurama, really? If you're going to reference something, reference something that's actually good.

Heretic!

Well at first there was, there was just no question...
Who wouldn't rather be,

Their Reflection?

"So... this thing works?"

The scientist addressed adjusts his glasses, babbling, nervous. "W-well yes, yes it does, but the success rate on reanimation is even lower-" he stammers, only to be cut off by the sharp-suited, sharp-eyed man before him.

"Immaterial, Barret. All that matters is that the - what did you call it? - is capable of what you say it is."

Barret's mouth makes soundless exercises for a moment before he composes himself. "But sir, nearly eighty percent of the lab animals weren't capable of surviving the concentrated dose-"

The man laughs, a humorless, callous thing. "Barret, don't you know? Even twenty percent is higher than zero!"

~~When I got here, everything was cold and perfect~~

"Absolutely, sir. Our private facility is state-of-the-art, and the local representatives in Mistral are willing to lease the property indefinitely, due to the medical nature of the facility."

The balding figure responds with a hacking cough, before trying in vain to clear his throat. "Hmmhmm, yes. Mmhmm! This sounds like- Guh-hmm- like a better use of my money than palliatives. Twenty percent... one in five! I've made riskier purchases in my sleep!"

"I assure you, sir, this investment is the right choice."

~~What have I done, what have I done?~~

"How... who are these people, sir? Why are they here?"

"Barret. I know you were asking for more research material..."

The scientist pales. "S-sir?"

"Charity cases. We took in a few for each commercial site, desperate people. People... without other options."

Barret swallows, looking at the small row of pale, suffering human people oogling the suspension devices. The prototype suspension devices, only ever tested on monkeys and pigs. "Th-thank you. Sir."

~~Every day is the same, we're praying for rain~~

It's the end of the world, writes the scientist in disbelief. The My patients are waking up, one by one. They demand to leave, to run. I can't. I can't let them go. If anyone were to return. The girl. The girl has a chance. All the horrors I've committed, my conscious will be eased a little, if only desperate scavengers are unaware of this place until things settle down. The generators will last another thousand years. I've sealed the doors.

May whatever god there is forgive me.

And when it came, oh when it finally came
Every day was the same

Still praying for rain

Things really did go to shit in that way, mostly because Khronos Medical' Board of Directors found the best damn snake oil they could find and sold it to dying rich folks for a couple extra zeros at the end. There is one problem, but it's one that I really like. The lab is in Menagerie, but you put Mistral as the people who owned the land. While you'd think it would be wrong, but in truth, Mistral had a lot of owned lands in Menagerie that they never gave the Fanus after their war. So in summary, Mistral went #ScrewTheFanus and gave a corp some land for morally questionable experiments.

Reward: Question, Omake, or Character Sheet. Normally I would also put up the option of a bonus to a related roll, but this well be rather diceless for a bit.
Alrich Asad
Dr. Barret
Jean Dumotte, leader of the Vale Republican Revolution

I'll also answer a question for free. None of you have the process right. Its not magic or gene therapy, and it's certainly not silver eyed BS. It could be seen as pickling, but its a lot more brute force than that. It will legitimately seem like magic to Skye.

Well it seems like these guys were doing some weird science. Heh
Question @Raiu if we go with frost's write in how long will it take for the person to get here?

A few days, well within the time limit.

Ah, it may have been a bit opaque. The test lab is in Menagerie, but -Salesman- notes that the commercial sites are worldwide, he's just taken in a few charity cases for research purposes at the prototype site, where nobody could possibly find them~

QUESTION: HOW MANY LICKS DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO THE CENTER OF A TOOTSIE POP?

Actual Question: Is the girl still alive solely because of the machine? Or is there something about her that reacts uniquely to the machine?

Its a combination of the machine and luck.

[X] Primary: Ask a favor of the king to acquire an expert in Old Times era technology. If the generator goes to about a week left, attempt to refuel it with the best we can manage.
[X] Secondary: If the refueling occurs, have Jove attempt to find a means of deactivating the egg. If the refueling ends up failing, attempt to manually force the device open and care for the girl as best we can.

I'm still conflicted between tongue ripping or summary execution will amend when I decide, but I would love to hear anyone else's opinion on it.
Edit: killing them all no regrets

I'll tally it up myself when its time. Nothing good comes from rushing the QM.

Now that I'm at home, I see the critical amount of votes has been reached. This means I have something new to type up.

The voting plans continue, and may I remind everyone that if you don't decide what to do with the workers, I will frankenstien the plans that do have a vote on the workers, or they will be left to the mercy of Amity if no votes can be found.

[X] Find the leaders of the group and have Amity's men make examples of them, this is treason after all.

So I just noticed this but @Raiu my write in was to call in our favor to the king and go get Cilmi, you have it written as call in the favor to the king OR go get Cilmi. Is this a mistake or can we only take one option?

[X] Warn the workmen that their 'gift' is ill. If they free her, they are as likely to kill her as they are to take on her illness themselves.

Seriously don't understand the insane boner people have for massive useless-as-shit government coverups. You'd think that all the bad press the CIA gets would make people realize rampant, uncontrolled murder does not successfully cover up anything.

I divided it up because the expert and Cilmi would have covered the same bases.

[Insert incredibly slurred speech that sounds slightly like "They took our jobs!"]

This isn't a coverup anymore now it is to punish those who thought they could disobey their leige. Hell I'm willing to put their corpses on spikes to get the point arcoss.

That was terrible

Terribly amazing that is
Also Vlad was actually an alright guy if you wern't a traitor or the enemy. I mean he came back to protect the UK from vampires and Nazi's after all.

I am against killing them because it is waste of lives and they just got the shit kicked out of them by the guards so they are not going anywhere or trying anything soon

Anyway I don't want to kill anyone, I just want to significantly harm the ringleader/s.

To be completely serious the problem I have with your handling of the workers @Powerofmind is that it is too soft for what they did. Sure if they just complained I would let it slide but they went as far as to attack our personal guard a step down from attacking us so they must be punished. There is always the non-lethal option I brought up of ripping their tongues out so they can't incite more violence.
The creed I follow in CK2 is never show weakness and if we let them go unpunished we show weakness.

Well, there are some instances where you want to show weakness in CK2, like when setting a trap for the enemy.

Let's not earn the Cruel trait, okay?

I need to check something @Raiu how many of the workers were true blue fanatics? I ask because I'm operating under the belief that all of the workers that attacked were all foaming at the mouth crazy religious people. If their not well see below.

The fanatics are the ones that likely incited this so I'm willing to let the rest go as long as we make the ones that won't give up fates' something so horrible as to stop any repeats of this little event.

The idea that peasant unrest is treason worthy of death, especially religiously motivated unrest, would have a ruler's head on a pike in less than a year, assuming the entire fucking population wasn't dead by the time someone staged a violent coup.
