I wonder if the Peaks came to the Feast...

I'm imagining him getting the side-eye from everybody in the feast and just being confused and then shocked/angry/Pikachu face when he discovers that his house in specific did not get any land from the betrothal agreement.
If he is I hope someone from the dornish delegation gets under his skin and make him angry enough to do something foolish.

Will the Baratheons and the storm lords come to the feast?
And Is it possible to set up leanor and jeyne?

Hmmmrm.

I wouldn't completely rule it out but I'd bet fairly long odds against it.

This is a society with very little if any privacy for royals and no concept of HRT or gender transition, barring the remote possibility of occasional fluke magical shenanigans. So Qoren presenting as male without anyone remarking on it strongly suggests that he's AMAB. Conversely, Qoren doesn't seem especially uncomfortable in the male gender role; I think he's just an Amazon-chaser, which is a bit gender-nonconforming but not trans.
I mean, I'll note that I did say it was unlikely. Though I'll note that the concept isn't completely unknown: the Moonsingers are all-female in their original society, regardless of sex, and likewise said society's leaders are all male no matter what sex. As the Moonsingers helped found Braavos, they're rather influential.

And there's the god/dess Yndros of the Twilight(worshipped in at least Lys), who switches between male and female, with their followers doing the same through sex(according to rumours).

And from the show, there's Sharako Lohar, also from Lys, who is biologically female, but lives and is addressed as a man, to the point of having wives.

So the idea, while far from universal, does exist in-universe, if not in Westeros in particular.

so I doubt that any Lords besides from the ones in the Crownlands will come...
Fanhunter you should read the previous updates. Teen Spirit clearly said the Stormlands and Reachermen are coming to the Feast to complain.
Apparently quite a few nobles from the Stormlands and the Reach had been coming, no doubt to complain to your father in person while using the celebrations as a pretext to come.
Edit: Sorry if the wording sounded harsh.

It depends on how motivated they are to travel in Winter. It's one thing to not go to a random party, but if the king presents you with a treaty negotiation early in winter and it makes you angry, you have a very strong reason to find or make an excuse to get over to King's Landing before Spring, because you don't want to be waiting years to get around to saying anything about it.

Extra Funny thought: Rumor has it that when Otto received Unwin Peake marriage proposal to Alicent, he became so apalled that he preferred to let Alicent become a Septa rather than Lady Peake
U: "I'd like to make your daughter Lady of Starpike, my lord Hand."
O: "I'd sooner see her in a Septa's habit!"
R: "About that. . . "

Fair enough, but as I said I very much doubt that we will see that many (if at all) guests travelling from the rest of the Kingdoms (the Riverlands, the Vale, the Westerlands, and the North) traveling in Winter to celebrate our dear Uncle... Besides the complainers from the Reach and Stormlands, this feast would probably be mostly Crownlands Vassals

I do wonder how all of this is going to mix in the feast for Daemon. In theory it is a feast to commemorate the man but in truth will it be a feast where all the lord's keep trying to talk to Viserys and Otto and asking for him to reconsider the land exchange ?
How much Daemons will be offended and slighted ? Against who ? (Us, the Stormlands lord's or Viserys).
And how it is going to end ? (Bombastically surely)

Anyway since we have a lull in the discussion now that Alicent and RTA has been solved, what Heraldy we want Nyra to take? Someone wanted to do it last turn, and now we have an Extra turn in Kingslanding that we werent previously planning plus no urgent matters to take care off (Making an Heraldy its a free action). I think its a good time to at least discuss some general ideas.

Nice suggestion.

I was thinking that addition of Dorne should be present on the sigil.

So a regular Targaryen symbol but with the legs of the dragon holding a spear and on the upper right a yellow sun?
Or maybe one the head of the dragon could be yellow because syrax is yellow ?
It would mix well with Martel symbols.

Honestly, I favor keeping the our Heraldy as close as the official Targaryen one as possible... If any pretenders go after our throne they can make up their own Heraldy, we are keeping the three-headed red dragon on a black field....

Counterpoint is common for heirs to have their own Heraldy as well. Also for all likely causes for someone not support Rhaenyra, a personal Heraldy is not going to be it.

I think the standard 3 headed dragon design would fit really well with the Dornish/Martel Sun surrounding it (no need for the spear imo). We could keep the orange sun on red field and then make the dragon black, stealing the design from a descendant who will probably never exist now, Daemon blackfyre. (And staying somewhat true to the canon 'Black' faction) A yellow sun for Syrax would also work. Sorta like how Stannis put the stag inside the fiery heart, except with the dragon still being the main visible design. Falcon wings could be incorporated too, although in a heraldic context I'm not sure how to meaningfully differentiate them from dragon wings.

Regardless, despite quartering being more accurate to canon and to history, it's way cooler to make a unified design with those elements than to just put them next to each other.

Even if the Blackfyres would never came to pass, inverting colours of the sigil of a House is still a pretty common through Westeros for legitimised bastards... It would still be a bad idea for obvious reasons...

I very much disagree, trying to modify your sigil again, and again trying to integrate new elements to the design depending on our allies is dumb and it is extremely unlikely that we can incorporate those new elements in a tasteful way...

The quartering design is much more practical for those purposes andit is unlikely to end up looking like a bad collage...

Interlude: Victory Feast Part I New
Interlude: Victory Feast Part I

Otto Hightower was vexed when you told him you were going to appoint whoever he suggested to the office of Inspector-General. It was an incredibly powerful offer, allowing him to pick the first leader of the Royal Toll Authority, basically shaping the fundamentals of what the organization would be, ensuring that the Lord Hand would have a lot of leeway in shaping something you had created. The naked confusion in his expression as you asked for a name was amusing to behold, if brief.

Otto quickly adopted a more cautious, if rather curious expression as he considered your offer. You could tell he understood some of what was going on here, that you wanted things from him and were willing to give considerable political concessions to get it. He didn't seem to grasp what you wanted just yet, but he knew there was a catch to this bribe. Still, Otto was not so foolish as to even really consider declining your generous offer.

He asked for a few days and eventually came back with a name, Martyn Hightower, his second eldest nephew. Otto explained that his nephew had trained at the Citadel in matters of coin and personal accounts, and had direct relations with many of the larger merchant families in the Seven Kingdoms, making him an ideal candidate for the role.

You had strongly suspected it would be a Hightower from the begining. Otto didn't seem to have much in the way of direct lackeys who he held that level of trust in. Isembard seemed to approve of the appointment, saying that while Martyn was certain to show overt favoritism to Oldtown in setting up the Royal Toll Authority, Otto's rivalry with the Sea Snake would ensure the authority wasn't going to be slowly hollowed out by Velaryon interests.

The Sea Snake himself made clear his annoyance at the tolls being handed over to Otto's nephew, but he still seemed largely appeased by his recent conquests. You suspected the only reason Daemon wasn't annoyed at you empowering Otto even more was he simply did not care one way or the other about the Royal Toll Authority.

To your surprise, not long after Otto had you name Martyn Inspector-General, the Hand's brother, Lord Hobert Hightower, sent you a raven. The man had been there when you were named heir, but you had barely spoke two words to the Voice of Oldtown. The letter was full of flattery and praise, thanking you for your 'wisdom' in turning to Otto for helping to select a leader for this most important post. He also praised you for the friendship you had shown house Hightower and how you've done so much to help his niece, nephew and now his second eldest son. It seemed that while Otto still had his reservations about you, House Hightower overall saw you as something of an ally.

You had pushed hard to give Gwayne and Alicent positions of prestige and authority in King's Landing. That you had done that entirely for your personal desire to keep Alicent by your side didn't change the fact that now three Hightowers of your generation had been empowered by you directly. Though you had dashed the Otto's chance to have a queen of his house, with this act, you had shown yourself to be the best friend the Hightowers had in the capital, at the moment at least.

House Hightower considers you Something of an Ally

Otto Hightower Owes You a Large Political Favor

Your Relationship with Lord Corlys Velaryon has Degraded

Daemon's feast was quickly turning out to be a rather curious affair even from it's first moments. Winter storms and Daemon's general reputation meant the affair was largely limited to those already in city or the Crownlands, but there were nobles from the Stormlands and the Reach already here, along with Prince Qoren and the Dornish Nobles who traveled with him. This lead to a feast that was clearly smaller than what Daemon had desired, but larger than what perhaps he may have deserved considering the fundamentally small scale of the war in the Stepstones.

The mood in the throne room was tense as you and your father entered, and not just because Dornish nobles were sitting a few tables over from Dondarrions and Tarlys, but also because at Daemon's request, several soldiers and officers of his and the Sea Snake's army were also invited to the feast. Most of them were the same men who had followed Daemon to Dragonstone after you were made heir. Heroes of the Stepstones, yet arguably traitors to the crown.

Thankfully, your father had the foresight to provide plenty of food and entertainment for the night, ensuring most of the crowd had something to distract them from their mutual dislike. By the time Daemon arrived, things were downright festive.

Your uncle arrived acting every bit the conquering hero, dressed in armor, a confident swagger in every step.

"One would think he conquered Dorne the way he preens," Qoren muttered under his breath as he sat besides you, earning him a barely suppressed laugh from you.

The king gave a grand speech, declaring his brother and Lord Corlys, along with all the men who fought under them, had done a great service to the realm, securing trade from pirates and keeping the Triarchy in it's place. Daemon beamed with pride at his brother's words and even the Sea Snake seemed grateful for your father's praise.

As Daemon took his seat by your father and Johanna, you began thinking of just how you were going to spend this evening. Personally, you wanted to just spend the night talking with Alicent, gossiping and jesting with someone you cared about, someone you know thought little of your uncle. But there were other things you could do tonight.

This would be your last chance to make an impression on the lords of Dorne until your own visit to Sunspear over half a year from now. You also had a chance to reduce some of the animosity that was building between you and the Stormlands and some of the Reach, not that you needed to of course. Thankfully, no one from House Peake had dared to come to King's Landing. This also would be your last chance to talk with the Velaryons and Princess Rhaenys before they returned to Driftmark.

Then there was dancing. Now that you were set to be married, the only men it was remotely socially acceptable for you to dance with was your intended, Daemon, and your father; who wasn't interested in dancing since Johanna was too far along to be doing anything like that. Of course, there was nothing stopping you from dancing with one of the ladies, probably wouldn't even cause any scandal since you were now set to be wed. Who knows, perhaps Alicent would be interested in a dance this time around?

Either way you had an interesting night ahead of you

Quartering is literally making an ugly collage. You can't seriously argue for a monstrosity like the canon banner.

There are pragmatic reasons to hesitate about making a personal insignia, but we have to consider the cool factor here at least a little bit, else why even bother? The usual red dragon is always going to be the best option if we want something boring.

Consider also that some kind of civil war is guaranteed, and a distinct banner for our side serves a pragmatic purpose.
