I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

the amount of long term prep work that has gone into the next forge action is staggering, to do anything less than dump in every last possible AP into it would just be depressing. Like i'm not saying it would be dumb, which I don't think needs saying, I'm saying it would honestly be sad to do anything but go maximal investment on it given the sheer amount of effort and time invested in preparing for this one moment.

Every point of invested Ap increase the quality of the final product. We have been laying the groundwork and siphoning resources for the Dragon Gonti project for real life years and in game centuries. that extra AP is likely going to make a siginfgant difference in the quality of the final product, we can take an apprentice next turn. The sheer waste of not being able to stack up a full six AP for this project after spending that much time and energy getting every last advantage no matter how small and cost ineffective would be staggering. So yeah, it needs all six if we're going to want to be able to say our runic megaproject was as good as we could have made it.

The concern is that we can't. If we don't take the apprentice right now, the option is removed, suggesting we never can again.... or at least it was... but I'm looking at the update, and it seems soulcake removed the portion that said the option would be removed if we voted no...

Yeah, that's because the "No, you can't have an Apprentice ever again" bit was silly.

There's no reason for Snorri to hard lock "No" here, and as such, a no is not a permanent NEVER EVER. Otherwise this would be genuinely terrible timing and game design, and Soul's a good boi.

Nothin in the vote or WOG says voting no removes option to take apprentice in the future.

This just Background rolls giving us free Action to take an apprentice instead of needing to put ap on recruiting one.

It's like how Snerra critting her talent roll meant we got the option to take her immediately due to jorri presenting her to us.

Honestly of not for the Dragon I'd vote ys too but I want to make damn sure we succeed on the dragon and survive storm forging.

This kinda feels bad coming out of nowhere with us not voting on an apprentice search this turn. Besides that, Snorri's about to go forge in a storm of magic, which he knows almost killed him last time. It's wack that he's thinking of taking an apprentice right before going out and doing it again. At the bare minimum, it's reckless. Shouldn't he want to wait until after the storm at the least?

Yeah, nothing says that now. but when the update came out initially, it said the option was removed if we voted no now. so that's caused at least me, and quite possibly others to vote yes in order to have the option in future... but it looks like it was removed so that kinda entirely changes things.
