Yeah, as Erebeal put it we do have materials to make a new flute out of (though I feel like there should be a 3rd material, but that's probably just me being really used to the Rule of 3 then anything specifically) we just need to get someone to actually make it for us.
…now that i think about it, its possible one of the later 'meetings' is actually going to be about that. Cause describing something as the 'first meeting' means there will be more 'meetings' after it. Or maybe they'd be related to the rat people whose name i currently don't remember, cause we are supposed to try and help with the situation involving them. Or perhaps they'd be other unrelated things? Tis hard to say
That would be pretty funny, though it would…probably cause another instance of the whole 'trying to plan things to do later without any actual data to do so with' and 'theres no way of actually knowing what is going to come up again later, so we shouldn't assume anything' debate if it did happen.

True~ But at the same token when managing our money is a mechanic, I can't help but suspect things like that to come up. Not like we have some money wizard like Bao Qian around to ensure we always get what we want and have the moneys to make all the purchases without worrying about consequences.

Yeah, and we aren't 'swamped' with things to do right now so…i'm not really sure what your point is. The current options are to do one thing, or do a different thing, and if either of them do end up being some sort of long term thing…then we'd be gaining one either way?

Like, there a lot of stuff we are sorry if ignoring until it comes up again, but I really don't think we can say that we aren't swamped.
The thing there is that neither of the votes here are things on our main "docket". Tbh, I'm not sure that this isn't anything other than a brief decompression update before we get back to the major stuff like meetings with the ministry.

Last time I brought this up, someone reminded me that there was also the shipment of Wood and Wind aligned lumber that Ruan Shen's family was sending us. Though while some of it can be used for instrument materials, I think that was more intended for Ling Nuan if she wants to make a new lute, and it's otherwise not quite high level enough for Ling Qi's flute purposes? The bulk of it is meant for shrine construction in the fief anyway.
Although to really make a properly powerful weapon talisman, do we not also need an appropriate spirit/beast core as well?
I think there were some vague ideas of using some of the Xiangmen Sap we got as a reward for a lacquer for the flute iirc.

Maybe? I don't think defensive talismans require that, but weapons are a different sort of thing so maybe they would? Probably wouldn't hurt things any, either way lol.
Ysrillar will hopefully provide us some details once we get to the point that we can actually make the new flute.
Does poking the tide of beauracrats actually help with the things we have to do? I know people have gotten into the rut of being responsible for the fief, but that doesn't make everything that touches the fief a responsible choice.

IIRC the 'appropriate spirit/beast core' is for the Cyan breakthrough elixir, not our flute.
