Anyway, while we wait for the voting to open, here's the link list to my designs so far for the next Design Docket.

Super Leo
Super Scorpio
Super Andromeda
Turbo Crux
Turbo Aries

We're at 18/20 designs so far, I'm just figuring out what we should do with the last one.

Oh, @HeroCooky when you get up, do we still need the Evacuation Fleet running? Or can we decommission the Rustbuckets so we can free up those Choirs? Or are they still making themselves useful?

Anyway, as a general thought, and this might be a mite bit controversial, I think we should just give up on any ship smaller than a light cruiser.

Replace the Pyxis with a light cruiser scout, same for the Crux and the Aries, if you think either'll be useful. Because any kind of fleet buildup that relies on appreciable amounts of corvettes is just going to eat up choirs like there's no tomorrow. And hell, with an SBG including just 4 destroyers, they were never an appreciable part of our forces.

So, the Aries's (in our current fleet make-up) are not going to be present in sufficient numbers to function as effective outriders anyway. Meanwhile, the Crux and Scorpio have mostly the same armament, so those might benefit from being better diversified. It's already a bit odd that the "brawler" Scorpio is armed primarily with long range weapons that keep it well behind the main line of battle...

No, you can sell them if you don't want to have the ability to evacuate a few billion people at a moments notice anymore.
- Can we put the Irrita contamination bombs on a bomber, like we did with the Rad bombers?
- What category are those bombs in, for the sake of Crusader?
-No, those girls are divas that demand space. Space some little piddly bombers simply do not have.
-Projectiles.

1)
Path Creativity Perception
Path Creativity Perception Path Prophecy

Hoping to have a defense station mounted Choir be able to tell when + what ships are approaching through the warp.
Ideally also predicting where they will enter the system. (Time to prepare and knowing where to aim before they even arrive)

2)
Path Creativity Humanity Perception Sun

Hoping for the Choir to act as a light house for friendly ships in the warp lanes touching the system. (Might be better with Star, but we'd need to get that melody before i can try)
Aka micro-astronomicon with 1 warp-route-hop range.

3)
Path Creativity Sun Fire Death

Hoping to be able to fry parts of hostile fleets detected by (1) before they even arrived.

4)
Path Creativity Creativity Struggle Growth
Path Creativity Struggle
Path Creativity Struggle Growth

Hoping for Choir to be able to make a Warproute grow less and less stable as the song is sung. (Suppress a warp route that enemies are assumed to come from, for longer term stale-mate border keeping)

5)
Path Creativity Grounding Progress Growth

Hoping for Choir to be able to make a Warproute grow more stable/benign.

Especially 4 (destabilizing warp routes/giving enemies debuff to warptravel) + 5 (further stabilizing warp routes/giving our ships buffs to warptravel) feel ambitious, but gotta try. If the Songs are plausible we can look into how much we can empower our Choirs in that role. (Got some ideas for that, too)

Would "make a Song for the psytech effect you want, find out its inadequate due to being too weak, develop (research write-ins) psytech based on it" be a reasonable route for it (analogue to how we stumbled into hymns of the machine*) or should we completely forget about Songs for it and just yeet (psytech) Research write-ins at the problem.

* Yeah, with hymns of the machine we didn't do actually research write-ins, but you know what i mean.

one of the things that would help us in our choir numbers is something we can put on ships to act as the travel song. At some point we are gonna have to figure out being able to use psytech to sing songs or some such

[X] (Write-In) Non-Humanoid Clean Lines [Cute]

Source: x.com

I honestly don't really like the humanoid automata designs -- just kind of feels weirdly limiting in a way, especially when they're not sapient (yet). Personability is important, but I'd prefer to just look really different from humans / animals / living things in the first place -- and so little Haros feel like a good compromise. Easily adaptable / customizable / paintable, very very cute, and also pretty portable and mobile in their own ways. Can be bipedal if you want or have bunny ears or whatever!

Also, super sorry for asking this, but how are development costs are going to increase when we hit All-X again? I think right now it's 2 AP to hit the next level -- is that going to double or is it going to "just" make it 3 AP to increase to the next level?

Kind of debating the internal merits of using A Bounty of Labor to rush for All-XV thanks to Planetmaw and the Symphony :V

If either we get all-X or any two devs together sum to 30, then all development levels cost 3 actions to advance (2 with planetmaw). So just +1, I'm 90% sure. Then once all-XV it's, 4, all XX it's 5. We're not going to make it that far.

I'm pretty sure we clarified that you can't use bounty of labor of development actions?
