Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

So stealth and speed are her friends here, because its hard to search for 4-5 wizards while fending off Red Court mooks.
This is an extraction, not a punitive strike.
Point of order - we are definitely flaring right now, and will be for what, at least another hour or so(I forget the anima relaxation period). The minutes count, and we can't afford to wait. So, it's going to be loud.

If we're counting the minutes 16 if you go there and ask a question with the crown another 16 essentially we need to wait until our anima dies down if we want to go stealthy which we can't really not to mention we're already down to 11 so using the crown to find him isn't exactly economical and very least not in comparison to just bringing help that can find him.

You are mistaken.
We have Anima Control 1 as a Merit, and we took the benefit that raised our limit to 4 Essence.
After we spend more than 4 Essence in a scene, we flare for (Essence*3) minutes, which is 12 minutes at E4.

Just having Harry, Tiffany, Olivia and Lydia all show up at Last Station has taken at least half an hour for all of them to get here, if not more so. Our anima banner would have stopped glowing in the meantime.
It shouldnt be an issue.

Whats actually an issue is that Molly will be going down there at 12/18 Essence because of the urgency. Which is a second reason to not bring other people, because it costs 2m to move people to and from Sanctuary. But it convinced me to bring a second clone instead of just one, because the clones I designed can simply burn and regen WP to power their Gifts.

PS
We do need to remember to buy Anima Control 2 in the future, so we can take the benefit to shorten glowy time to 3 minutes.
Need to make a note.

We were already flaring when we fought Carlos and we've been using more Essence since then we are definitely flaring.

Well, it does. I dont know what else to tell you. Thats how ExWoD is mechanically designd to function, as far as Im aware.

Talking about edging towards deception against someone with unknown information-gathering and archival resources, someone on whose friendly side we were endeavoring to stay, would have been foolish IMO.
You cant muddy the waters if the other guy has sonar. Or X-ray vision.
I think lying has more favorable failure modes even if we accept the idea we would fail. I minor failure while stonewalling gave him what he needed, a minor failure to deceive doesn't necessarily need to paint such an obvious picture.

Odin is, among other things, an intelligence broker, but I think you misunderstand what that means in this scenario.
The dude was pretty openly a major god for millenia before accepting the new order, and there are significant sections of the supernatural who remember. Just like Corb remembers Mab in her youth pining after Merlin.

Stuff thats unknown to us Johnny-Come-Latelys are not necessarily secrets in the "Noone else knows" category.
Its just that the supernatural does not believe in all this "information wants to be free" philosophy.
You pay for information, and its usually a seller's market.
What does that have to do with this?

Odin's problem with us that he can't stop us from stealing his trade good of choice or personal secrets that are very much not for sale if we want to take them. If he's not right next to us he probably wouldn't even notice it happening.

He's not worried we're going to accuse him of being a god on daytime television or something.

Edit: error

What? That's not true, as far as I can tell. It was detected only once, in Vegas, with a very tight detection network, and even then it was detected as a low priority event, as indicated by the dispatched force. The loud event was creation of Sanctuary.
Ah, right, my mistake, thanks for correction. I still think that by ourselves we should have enough power to deal with situation and not risk detection if whatever horrors elder rampires have in Amazonia can see us gating.
That said, @uju32, it might be prudent to call our Sanctuary clone to have a team on standby if the mission goes FUBAR.

1) We were not flaring before we fought Carlos; we started flaring during the fight deliberately

2) Its been more than 15 minutes since our fight with Carlos.
After the rapid flurry of Crown questions we asked after KOing Tina? Our only expenses since then was 1m on an Excellency during our convo with Odin.

We've had enough time for all Molly's posse to get to Last Station from all over Chicago.
We've even had enough time to regenerate 1m of Essence normally, which is something that takes 15 minutes to happen in a Dragons Nest like Last Station.

We are not currently flaring. We cannot be currently flaring. Too much time has elapsed, and we frontloaded our Essence use.

Do we have foci for Morgan? If yes, then absolutely. If not, then we should use it to track Morgan.
How long did he spend as a diplomatic official in our hell for again? Morgan was probably one of the most photographed people in the FCF for that entire timespan simply because the council's visit was the most important thing happening at the time.

This is incredibly disappointing.

I mean, "Planaconda" was right there and you let it go. :V

More seriously; I see your point, but I don't think Demonreach is necessarily a great metric to judge by on this. That spirit is a freak of magical engineering. This approach may save us time as long as our stealth holds, but if something goes wrong it could eat up a lot of our time.

Worth noting in that context that it wasn't the FCF that got us caught in Vegas or when killing Ortega, it was RVD:
Of course the issue is that everyone else isn't going to benefit from as solid of a veil, so instead of ducking into the nearest shed to get everyone here you decide to wait and watch, see what kind of welcoming party the whirling of the waters may have elicited. At firs the answer seems to be nothing, perhaps all the movers and shakers are busy on the Strip. Then, about forty minutes after you had come on the scene, a 1983 Chevy van trundles down the street, looking rather lost since it seems to be older than anything in this neighbourhood. Then the headlights flare on not the washed out white one would expect, but a ghostly blue... that no one else on the street seems to notice. Where you had crossed the road to get a better
"Every ghost, every specter, every speck of malice that was once a drowned thag about the whole length o' the Lerma River and Río Grande de Santiago's risen up and wahling for those that have the ears to hear. Each after their own sort like it's the Power of Babel, but it's a bad news brewin' and it's you, not that yer hard ta track once someone's picked up your trail at tha water. Now maybe ya ain't what I thought at first, but you sure as shit ain't safe to be walking around an international airport."
For a stealth charm it's remarkably loud, and red adjacent factions were the ones to catch us both times.

If they've been paying attention to us and are playing aggressive spiritual defense as the attack on that messenger implies then it's entirely possible they could do it again. I'm pretty confident that AtP can help us here as long as no one has perfect mental shields up before we arrive, but we were supposed to have it up going into Vegas and still had people looking for the source of the angry Geiger counter noises in short order. I'm not totally convinced a blitz wouldn't be faster than a stealth failure.

If we swapped the nukes for precision smart bombs we could minimize collateral and cover our rush to the wizards with dozens of opportunistic assassinations.

In any case I think we should probably account for what everyone else is going to be doing while we're out killing things. Two wizards, a Demon, a Terrestrial, and some of our Amethyst Hand agents could get a lot of work done while we're getting Morgan and his cub scouts out of the wilderness.

Wasn't it established that this was because Atp doesn't cover Molly's demon aura? That was part of the reason why we bought BMI.

So, the big question is - why not take Harry? Does he have any stuff to do right now? He should have contacted Ebeneezer already.
