So I propose that once we're done, we hand all these guys off to Fat Tony to do whatever he wants to. As a reward for his good behavior.

"Dunno quite why, but he said something something about `getting you outta your funk by letting you stretch legs´"

...and now I can´t help but imagine him having taken that figure of speech literally and thus come up with that little "stunt" he forced us to watch during that one Kamp Krusty mini-turn...

Mea culpa^^

So, now that that omake´s been simmering a bit here...

*Did any of you guys catch the vague reference to one particular Disney franchise that just so happens to be part of DVV:Classics "canon" ?*

I´ll admit, it might not be immediately obvious, but maybe you´ll catch it nonetheless^^

If you wanna know:

Wilhelm´s remark of secretly having funded mercenary outfits so that they might dig up ancient relics that would give Germany a leg up during the GReat War is a reference to an earlier story concept for "Atlantis: The Lost Empire", where he or at least Imperial Germany as a whole would have been the GReater-Scope Villain bankrolling Rourke´s band of brigands in order to give the Kaiserreich a bit of a boost in preparation for the War - honestly a bit bummed out that Disney cut that angle, but at least this way I was able to work in a reference to it

So it's now abundantly clear that there actually is something in the lake and the green arm in the photo wasn't just some algae covered branch in weird light. Whether the swamp person is benevolent or not remains to be seen, but there is one question that has yet to be answered;

Does Mr Black and/or the people in his orbit know about the swamp person? If no, then if (when) things blow up it's possible that they might not necessarily be on the man's side and would strike out against whichever side pisses them off first. Could be us, could be the camp staff.

If Black does know about the being in the swamp, do they have some kind of deal between them? Is the camp using the being as some kind of hidden aquatic security, or does said being have their own, possibly sinister, motives for letting Black work?

Anyone else have thoughts?

though I would greatly prefer that he not do anything in front of the kids, they've already been traumatized enough after all.
Fat Tony knows not to do anything where the kids can see, come on! He's been doing this long enough to know better. We'll take his son (Michael?) off to the doctor/our mansion along with Bart and Lisa.

No witnesses to what happens.

There are more kids than just Bart, Lisa, and Michael here, and I'd prefer they not see anything either. And to be honest the staff are just lucky it wasn't Michael in time out! I suspect that if he were, we would not be able to hold Tony back from introducing Mr Black and the sergeant to his "little friend" immediately on sight

I felt that went without saying lol. There does seem to be some consensus that we won't exactly be going out of our way to stop Tony from taking care of Mr Black should we catch him, though I would greatly prefer that he not do anything in front of the kids, they've already been traumatized enough after all.

Why should we even try keeping them alive? They all but *tortured kids* to keep them compliant - pretty sure that even if we somehow care enough to manage to convince FT to not immediately turn Black and his cronies into soppresata and have them thrown into jail instead, I don´t think that most of their prison mates would take too kindly to that level of child abuse.

Let´s face it: Black and his ilk are *dead men walking* - realistically speaking we only get to decide on *how* they´ll die.

But yeah, but Abe and FT got enoough brains as a mobster and a soldier to not "get to work" in front of the kids

We´ll just usher the kids somewhere safe while Wilhelm and Finale figurative close the doors on the camera, as Abe and FT advance on those assholes and the credits roll...

I would prefer not to make some kind of supervillainous spectacle out of it. If they need to die they need to die, but I'm not a fan of torture or organ harvesting from them as someone suggested earlier.

Walk them out to the deepest part of the forest or swamp and put a bullet into them? Fine. Springfield has the death penalty anyway, I doubt it'd be much different from what fate would await them in the courts. But I'm disinclined to get into torture porn territory

I never said anythign about torturing them - just that their lives are forfeit pretty much regardless of what we decide.

Although FT probably doesn´t feel particularly merciful enough rn for a quick bullet through the brain, admittedly

Kamp Krusty adventure! (Part 6)
Winning Vote:

( ) Visitor's center

Where to go next was clear to you. You have just reunited with your grandchildren, now it was time for Fat Tony to reunite with his son.

"It's time to rescue your son." You address the mafioso. So far the man has been following along without much of a fuss, helping you this far, it was time to repay the favor.

"About damn time." The italian grunts, nodding along. Though he might be acting gruff right now, you can tell he is relieved to know you are finally going to rescue his son.

You turn to your grandchildren, the sight of those collars on their necks makes your blood boil, you are not sure even Burns has managed to make you this angry. Luckily, payback time might come sooner than expected.

"Kids, we need to go to the "visitor's center". Do you know where it is?" You ask them as you show them the map you go from the pathetic excuse of a dinner hall. "Any chance you can lead us there?"

"You are going to help Michael?" Lisa asks, with a hopeful but also wary tone.

"Yes, those cretinos are holding my son captive, I'm going to make them regret that." Fat Tony mutters, chewing on his tobacco hard. "What can you tell us?"

"Well, the Sergeant is always with him. He doesn't let him leave his sight" Bart mutters, he makes a motion of reaching for his neck, but stops halfway. "That Sergeant, he is…weird."

"That doesn't matter to me bambino. Guy can be whatever he wants, he is gonna regret even touching my son." Fat Tony says as he starts walking back to the Kamp, considering the discussion over.

You nod, deciding you have stayed too long here. "Let's go people, let's try and avoid the guards." You say as you motion Lisa and Bart to follow you. Kaiser WIllhelm and Fat Tony make sounds of agreement, creaks can be heard from Kaiser moving his head and Lisa and Bart look at the zombie with a wary look.

With that, the 5 of you (Plus Badger and Crippler), start making your way to the left side of the camp, the complete opposite direction of where you had come from, but where the son of an Italian mafioso was being held.
Once again, you had to avoid the guards but by now, that was something you could easily handle.

CONTESTED INTRIGUE ROLL:

Abe and Company Stealth roll:
=35(Roll)+16(Abe)+24(Bart)+10(Overwhelming Rage!Gleeman Bonus)=85!
VS
Guards Vigilance roll:
=48(Roll)+5(Guards)=53!

Abe and Company Success!

Now that you were more aware of the wrongdoings that this Kamp was doing to the children, and how bad your grandkids suffered, you moved with an intensity that reminded you of your old soldier days, you had forgotten this feeling!

The group walked across the shoreline, passing the Arts and Crafts center, and while a part of you hated just walking by without rescuing those kids, you had someone else to rescue first.

Hiding in the trees and the bushes, you quickly reached the archery range where a lone guard was standing guard, blocking your way, apathy could be noticed in his posture and while you were content to wait until he passed by, Bart grabbed a rock and quickly threw it over the guards head.

The noise that the rock made when it hit the ground, caught the guards attention, as as he walked by to check what caused the ruckus you guys quickly sneaked by until you reached the Visitor Center.

The Windowless wooden Cabin didn't look any different than usual, but as you walked around the building to reach the front entrance, you felt a chill on your bones.

You had no doubt about it, there was danger inside that building. Making sure there were no guards nearby, you quickly walked towards the door.

As you and the kids were on the left side of the door, Fat Tony and the Kaiser were on the right side, waiting on your command to breach in.

"Make sure to stay behind us, do you understand me?" You whisper to your grandkids, your tone of voice leaving no room for argument. Bart hurriedly speaks. "Wait grandpa! There's something you must know! The Sergeant…he…he isn't human!"

"What do you mean?" You whisper back as a loud sound can be heard inside the cabin.

"The guy is some sort of-" Another loud sound, this one an audible smack, and alongside that, the sound of a child shouting, can be heard.

Fat Tony gasps as he hears the shout, recognizing it, and he immediately rushes to the door, kicks it, and enters inside, gun already drawn.

"Freeze Stronzo! Release my son or-what in di Pisa?" Fat Tony starts saying, but quickly stops talking, you and the zombified Kaiser also move, entering the cabin and…you find yourself at a loss of words by what you see.

You see a little boy wearing one of those horrible collars that Bart and Lisa have, tied to a chair with steel chains, with the chair probably tied to the floor too, staring with a surprised face at Fat Tony.

But that's not what holds your attention, instead is the apparently buff fish person standing alongside Michael!

He is wearing a brown and green soldier's uniform, but with the sleeves ripped off, showing the strong muscles his arms have, green scales covering them alongside the neck, and all his face. Frills are covering his neck and both of his wrist. He is also wearing a military cap and black sunglasses covering his eyes and some prominent fish lips to finish it off.

You find him having punched the wall besides Michael, which shows a prominent crack from the impact point…Guy seems like he packs a punch!

Currently the guy was looking at the boy but with the ruckus of Fat Tony's arrival, he slowly started twisting his neck, until he was staring right back at you and your group.

From behind you hear Bart speak. "Yeah…I was going to mention that, Grandpa-" But the apparent fish man interrupted him.

"I'm afraid that visitors' hours are…over" He speaks with a calm but raspy voice "You are all trespassing on private property." He says as he removes his fist from the wall, leaving a clear indent on it. He seems to now be staring at your grandchildren behind of you. "And YOU little pipsqueaks are supposed to be in your box." He takes slow steps towards you as he cracks his knuckles.

Fat Tony immediately aims his gun at him, but the fish soldier is unfazed.

"You will accompany me to Mr. Blacks office. NOW." He says not caring for the gun aimed straight at him.

"Vhat in zhe defil are you?" The zombie asks, not confused as you or Fat Tony but still weirded out.

"Oh, before I was but a weak shell of a man. But Mr. Black has fixed that! Now Im Harder! Better! Fas-" The mafioso cuts him out as he takes a shot against the monster.

And the fish man just tilts his head to the side, letting the bullet pass by, nonplussed.

"-ter, Stronger!" He finishes as he puts up a fighting pose.

"Now it seems you lot need some DISCIPLINE!"

MINIBOSS FIGHT!

Abe, Fat Tony and Kaiser Wilhelm II

VS

SERGEANT WHITEMAN
COMMANDO OF KAMP KRUSTY!!!

FIGHT!!!

Congratulations Questers! You are about to start your first fight!

Fights will play a bit different from how rolls have been made so far. Fights will be divided on turns, where during each, a series of contested combat rolls will involved between your party and whatever enemy composition you face!

Turn order will go like this, the unit on your party with the biggest martial bonus will go first, attacking whatever enemy they (or you) choose of, and they need to defeat the opposing martial roll of the enemy, and once the attack is done, the enemy with the highest Martial stat of the group will go next, attacking one of your units (At times it will be at random, toher times they will have a pre selected target)

To defeat them you need to succes in contested martial rolls a definite number of times.

In combat roll the unit only gets to add his Martial stat and whatever traits it may apply to the situation.

Turn Order:
Your side:
1)Abe (49): 24 Martial +15 Cripper and badger + 10 (Gleeman Bonus)
2)Kaiser (32): 20 Martial+10(walking Kaiser)+2 (Zom-boy)
3)Fat Tony (21)

Enemy Side:
Sergeant Whiteman (18)

—-------—-------—-------—-------—-------—-------—-------—-------—-------—-------—-------

Round 1!
Turn 1: Abe Attacks Whiteman!
Result: 83(roll)+24 Martial +15 Crippler and badger + 10 (Gleeman Bonus)
VS
Whiteman defends:
Result: 86(roll)+18 Martial

Abe Attack Success!

You wouldn't let some freaky fish guy intimidate you. If he wanted to play rough so will you too!
"Let's see you discipline these!" You say as you whistle and point a finger at him. "Get him, boys." Your hounds Crippler and Badger start growling and barking, immediately jump in to pounce him!

Well only Badger does, Crippler instead goes running towards him. As the fish Sergeant deals with the badger that is trying to bite his head off, Crippler manages to get a good bite on his ankle, distracting him and buying you the chance to punch him right in his face!

"Let's see how you like it when you face someone older than you!" You shout as your hit connects, and being off balance thanks to Crippler, make hims fall to the ground, giving a chance to the hounds to continue wailing on him.

"Damm mutts! Get lost!" The Fish Person says as he grabs Badger by the snout and manages to kick him off him towards Fat Tony, then proceeds to grab Crippler, and throws him towards you, striking both of you as he has a chance to recover.

Sergeant Whiteman gets up, his clothes are a mess, thanks to Badger and Crippler, the camo pants are gone from the knee down and the military shirt is filled with gashes and cuts, allowing for the party to see more of his green scaled body.

The most surprising thing is that he barely had any cuts or scratches from the hounds assault, for the aggression that they just gave him there should have been more damage!

Round 1!
Turn 2: Sergeant Whiteman Turn:

Sergeant Whiteman trait Procs!
Armed to the gills: Gillified Sergeant Whitman covers himself in a strategic coat of hardened slime for better offensive capabilities.
Must pass a DC 50 to use and gains +1 combat and -1 to foes per 10 over the DC during whole duration of combat!

Roll: 88!
Success!

Sergeant Whiteman Gains a +3 to combat rolls and Abe and the party suffer a -3 malus against him!

The Sergeant addresses you and the rest of your group, and cracks his neck. "It seems I'm going to need to put on the gloves." Wait what did he say again?
A horrible nasal sound emanates from him as his throat bulges and before you can react the guy spits a load of slime all over his arms!

"Schiesse! Efen I smell bezzer zhan him!" "

"Okay enough of this!" Fat Tony says as he manages to push Crippler off him and starts to get up.

"That stinks!" You can't help but comment on the putrid smell that emanates from the guy hitting you, looking away in disgust. When you look again you can't help but be flabbergasted.

Somehow the slime covering the arms solidified over his arms and hands, showing a hard and spiky appearance…did the guy just make armor out of slime?! What kind of movie is this from!?

"That should do it!" He says as he starts running towards you!

Sergeant Whiteman Attacks!
A 1d3 is rolled to see who he will attack:
1) Abe
2) Fat Tony
3) Kaiser

Roll: 1

Whiteman Attacks Abe!
Result: 33(Roll)+18 (Whiteman martial)+3(Armed to the gills)=54!

Abe Defends
Result: 69(Roll)+24 Martial +15 Cripper and badger + 10 (Gleeman Bonus)-3(Armed to the gills)=115!
Failure!

Abe Defends!

He jumps towards you, arm raised to smash you directly on the face!

Reacting quickly, you grab Crippler and roll out of the way, letting the water monstrosity hit where you previously were, a huge indentation visible where his fist lands, you gulp as Crippler pants, getting off you and starts snarling towards the Sergeant.

Kaiser turn.
Kaiser attacks Whiteman!

Result: 45(Roll)+20 Martial+10(walking Kaiser)+2 (Zom-boy)-3(Armed to the Gills)= 74!

Sergeant Whiteman Defends!
Result: 51(Roll)+18 Martial+3(Armed to the Gills)= 72!

Bare Success!

Taking the chance, Kaiser starts peppering the freaky fish guy with his ectoplasmic finger guns, making "Pew Pew!" Sounds with each bullet fired. The bullets hit the guy exposed back and he is forced to turn around and use his hardened slimed arms to protect himself from the mystical barrage.

"Yeehaw! Hahahaha!" The zombified German shouts as he approaches the Commando while he keeps firing.

Unfortunately the bullets don't seem to be able to pierce the slime, giving the Sergeant a moment to recover as he rushes Kaiser, shoulder checking him and delivering a strong right hook to his head.

Which…only has the mild effect of causing Willhelm's head to start spinning and do a full 360 degrees rotation, catching Whiteman off guard, not expecting something like that.

"Back off, Fish-boy!"

This gives the German a chance to shoot him right in his face, blinding him for a moment and letting Kaiser get a punch of his own, making him take a few steps back, and giving Kaiser the opportunity to renew his barrage of finger guns at him, keeping him at bay.

Whiteman's Turn

Sergeant Whiteman will use turn to Proc Trait:
Murk shrapnel: Sarge never forgot how to hawk a good loogie! Whiteman can spit a huge glob of Slime, which quickly solidifies, trapping whatever he hits. Target must pass a Martial DC 75 check to escape because it's spiky. Can only be done every 2 turns of combat(Scratchy throat). But limit can be ignored ONCE.

Roll 1d3 to see who he uses it on:
1) Abe
2) Fat Tony
3) Kaiser Wilhelm

Roll: 2

Fat Tony gets hit!

Fat Tony Martial roll to escape the Murk Shrapnel:

Result: 3(Roll)+21(Fat Tony Martial)

Critical Failure!

Seeing as the fishy Sergeant was being kept busy by the previous undead leader of Germany, Fat Tony saw a chance to take another shot, and as he raises his gun, aiming at the guy's head. The Commando notices this and makes another nasal sound, his throat bulging wildly, firing another blob of slime at the Italian, managing to cover his gun and hands on the putrid slime.

"Figlio di Puttana! This is my only gun left!" Fat Tony shouts, as the slime hardens quickly, imprisoning his hands and gun.

"You think this is gonna stop me!" Fat Tony snarls, raising his slimed hand up in the air…and bringing them down with force on his waiting knee…and then the Italian falls to his knees, face filled in an expression of pain, a silent scream ripping from his throat.

Fat Tony's Turn.
Fat Tony will attempt to Break Free of the Slime.

DC 75

Result: 98(Roll)+21 (Fat Tony Martial)= 119

Success!
"Aaaargh!!!" Fat Tony releases a shout full of primal anger and exasperation as he starts smashing his hands against the ground, each hit managing to form cracks on the solidified slime. He keeps doing that until the slime breaks!

"Okey! That's it!" He says as he takes out his switchblade, looking straight at Whiteman with eyes redder than the devil himself.

Whiteman's Turn

Whiteman will attack again.
Rolling a 1d3 to see who attacks:
1) Abe
2) Fat Tony
3) Kaiser Wilhelm

Result: 1

Whiteman will attack Abe again!

Whiteman Attack Roll:
Result: 11(Roll)+18(Whiteman Martial)+3(Armed to the gills)=32!

Abe defends
Result: 12(Roll)+24 Martial +15 Cripper and badger + 10 (Gleeman Bonus)-3(Armed to the gills)=58!

Failure

Abe's Turn

Abe will Attack Whiteman:
Abe attack roll
Result: 2(Roll)+24 Martial +15 Cripper and badger + 10 (Gleeman Bonus)-3(Armed to the gills)=48

Whiteman Defends:
Whiteman Defense roll:
Result: 24(roll)+18(Whiteman Martial)+3(Armed to the gills)=45

Success!

Whiteman is Defeated!

Combat is over, Abe and Party wins!

You were able to see the damage that your hounds, Kaiser and you inflicted had a definitive effect on the Sergeant, the amount of scratches present on his body and the slime slowly breaking from tanking the continued barrage from the German Cowboy were clear indication that the Commando was on his last legs.

Seeing as Fat Tony was ready to enter the fray once more, the Sergeant's eyes turned towards you, and baring his fangs, he started running towards you, ignoring the potshots that Willhelm was inflicting on him. He was ready to punch your face clean off!

Unfortunately for him, your hounds managed to recover and were ready to attack him again! Crippler and Badger were biting each one of his legs, keeping him busy.

Seeing your chance, you ran towards him, tackling him towards the ground, and before he could recover, you started punching with abandon!!!

"THIS! IS! FOR! KIDNAPPING! MY! GRAND! CHILDREN!!" Each word you shout is accompanied by a heavy hit, you make sure to put everything you have into those strikes!

You finish him off by joining your hands together and delivering a hammering blow to his face, a satisfying crack can be heard as you are sure you just smashed that guy's nose to dust!

You look at the fish guy's face, seeing him out cold. Sighing with satisfaction, you slowly get off, dusting your clothes. You felt so tired, still, the mission was not over yet.

You see Bart and Lisa approach you as Fat Tony with Kaiser's help starting freeing Michael from his bindings.

"Grandpa, are you okay?" Lisa asks with worry as Bart looks with weariness to the fallen Sergeant form.

You take a deep breath to recover. "Of course I am, Lisa! I faced worse enemies during my time as a soldier!" You boast, trying to hide tiredness, your body wasn't what it used to be. "This chump was a total pushover, I could take a dozen of them without problem!"

Bart and Lisa start chuckling, a bit of levity returning to the atmosphere. Things were starting to look up now for you guys.

After a quick tearful reunion between Fat Tony and his son, you guys were ready to depart, the question was…where now?

[ ] Mr. Black's Office (It was time for Mr. Black and you have words. One way or another this ends NOW! With him dealt with and the keys for the collars on your hands, the rest of the guards should present you no problem.)

[ ] Arts and Crafts Center (You needed to rescue the rest of the kidnapped kids, you couldn't allow them to suffer this place's atrocities much longer!)

Once you made your decision known, the party and you started exiting the cabin…and then Fat Tony stopped you, whispering to you, out of the children's earshot.

"Say Boss, do you mind if I stay here for a minute or two longer? There's…something I need to take care of…really quick.." He says as he takes out his switchblade, staring at the unconscious form of Sergeant Whiteman with a gaze full of hate.

"...I will catch up with you in a moment."

You had a pretty clear idea what he was referring to…

What do you say to Fat Tony?

[ ] Give him the Go Ahead. (Fat Tony will make sure that Sergeant Whiteman will never cause trouble to both of you and your families. Fat Tony will be satisfied for now. This won't affect any rolls, Fat Tony will join you immediately after.)

[ ] Tell him NO. Leave Sergeant Whiteman to the authorities. (You didn't have time to entertain him. You needed him to focus on the mission, Fat Tony will leave the cabin with you while glaring daggers at the fallen form of the fish soldier. You leave Sergeant Whiteman to the proper authorities to deal with him.)
