Gems in the Wastes (Exalted/Warhammer Fantasy/CK2)

You know Ulric getting to know Sango and the Exalted in general is going to be a trip
Ulric: *sees Exalted summon demon* :mob:
Sango: That is not a Chaos Daemon, don't get your tail in a twist
Ulric *growling* What is it then?
Sango: An aspect of the inhuman tyrannical Demiurges who crafted our universe, but whom we defeated in Glorious Battle overcoming the limits of reality itself. Thus we forced upon them Surrender Oaths that demand they must serve when we call in the proper manner.
Ulric:... carry on then.

"Hey... Can you do that again? Like four times."

It'll take Ulric a lot of experimentation, and a lot of persuasion, to make some Chosen of his own. God-Blooded might be on the table, if you roll high enough.

I'm imagining Sigmar using the "Turn A God Into An Exalt Mantle For Someone Else" machine, and wondering about the...issues.

On one hand, if anything would get us a Celestial Exalt, it would be that.

On the otherhand, the Sigmarite Priest does put in Work when they don't fuck up, and the Miracle Machine going broke would be an issue there.

Now, if the Dwarven and Elven Gods could make Exaltations...

Sadly, we have only two Celestial level Exalted, so probably not. Maybe if we had more...
I mean I don't think the demon summoning infernal('s successor) over to the east(?) is going to be against the issue of more demons and I figure we might be able make a good case to the Heart-eater's successor (would that be worth the risk is not the question). We might also be able to get something to help with a working.

Are you talking exigence or a metaphorical machine? Exigent is usually the lesser choice. Exigent exalted die out while we still have the original non-exigents.

Honestly, all of this depends on whether or not you consider the Everqueen to be an Exalt of Isha. If yes, then it's something possible for other gods in WF to do, albeit at a cost. If not, then you would need to introduce some element from Creation, such as the Flame of Exigence, in order to make it work.

Per canon, he might already have some, Ulricskinder, werewolves, though of course it should be noted that we do not know if such beings actually exist. Even when Old World Bestiary gives stats they are coached as 'if such a thing existed this is what their stats would look like'. Also the Cult of Ulric at least in the empire would consider them mutants.

She certainly comes very close to hitting all the right beats, as for that matter do Ariel and Orion... and as did Anaerion for Asuryan. Really Warhamer does hit many of the same beats for the same reasons when it comes to Champions of the Gods. The one big difference though is the power a god has over their champion. In Warhammer what power the champions have flows from the gods who could turn it off if they so choose, in Creation the system is set up so the Exalt is not beholden to the God, intentionally since the point of the Exalts was to fight a battle that the gods could not. If Sol could have stopped the Solars he would have been compelled to by Theion and company

Probably much closer to an Oicholke if anything, same with Orion.

The Gotrek&Felix series at least claims they exist, with a family of them showing up( and a Chaos Sorcerer pulling a mind-switch spell on one of them).

Turn 3 Vote Reminder
This is your (less than) 12 hour reminder to get your vote in. Again, sorry for the short vote time, but I couldn't prolong it too much. Currently, Demons and Hydras is winning by a large margin, and it might take a lot of votes to change it, but it's still possible, so get it in!

EDIT: Did some cleaning up for the informational threadmarks, since that list was getting a bit bloated with stuff that's no longer relevant, such as previews.

Oh there definitely are werewolves, and werebears and wereboars etc... Some of them are probably hereditary, but there is no way to tell if they come from Ulric or are just a normal mutation. Tome of Corruption even has a mutation that makes you a werebeast so it's not like you need Ulric to explain them.

Yeah, werebeasts definitely seem more like a blessing/curse thing than an Exalted thing. I mean, we have Beastfolk as an example already in canon, even if they don't shift between forms.

I meant Exalted in this case, I probably should have specified in this case. I'm not sure WF Beastmen would ever be considered as "blessed."
Exalted beastmen resulting from divine blessings, interbreeding with gods, interbreeding with lunars, or from wyld mutations?

I think it's kind of amusing how much of a mixed bag "animal people" are in creation and in warhammer fantasy.

At least if im remembering wyld-mutant tribes of beastfolk raiding more creation facing settlements correctly.

Turn 3 Vote Closes
Alright folks, I'm cutting the vote here. Demons and Hydras won by a landslide, so there's no way that someone could change the vote in the next 13 minutes or so. I'm going to start doing some rolls here in a few minutes, so let's see how things turn out!
Scheduled vote count started by Critian Caceorte on Jun 22, 2024 at 12:39 AM, finished with 32 posts and 9 votes.

So! Martial Rolls. We'll be skipping the Mini-turn of course, so don't worry about that.

For our first action, we have a small group of cavalry scouts (Dark Riders) trying to get a better feel for the terrain. Unfortunately for them, they ran headfirst into our confusion aura, which caused enough disorientation to make sitting ducks. Our general troops outnumber them 40-to-1, so I doubt there's going to be any issues (and now that I've said that, I've probably jinxed everything, but oh well.)

Enemy Troops: Size 1, Quality 1 - 1 (Field) = 0, Might 1 = DC 20
Our Troops: Size 4, Quality 1, Might 0 = +30 from Outnumbering, +10 from greater Quality = +40 from troops
Roll Bonus: +40 from troops, +12 from Gwai's Martial = +52 total bonus
Roll: 77 + 52 = 129, 100 greater than DC = CRITICAL SUCCESS!

Alright! Not only did you avoid injuring their horses (allowing you to use them instead), but one of the scouts was carrying on their person a map in order to help themselves navigate to where you were. You will soon (I promise in the future) be getting a map of your general location.

Next is the moat. With Nokun using her earthbending powers on it, it should prove to be easy as pie.

DC 30
Roll Bonus: +20 (Nokun) +12 (Gwai's Martial) = +32
Roll: 23 + 32 = 55, Success!

The moat is built around your walls, creating an additional obstacle that must be overcome by most troops if they want to reach your walls. Obviously, it's not big enough to deter the Hydra, but it IS an additional layer of protection you will benefit from. Effectively, your homestead is kind of like its own island now.
Critian Caceorte threw 1 100-faced dice. Reason: 1st Martial Action Total: 77
77 77
Critian Caceorte threw 1 100-faced dice. Reason: 2nd Martial Action Total: 23
23 23

Well. I think that first one may have beat the DC by over 100. Maybe they all surrender and we get more prisoners?

EDIT: A map is also great.
