Guys quick question: so now we know that Valheideim crusade was against Khorne, right?
How many turns had passed since it started? 5? 6?

There hasn't been any indication in this quest that out-of-quest numbers have any particular effect on Chaos, as far as I recall.Guys quick question: so now we know that Valheideim crusade was against Khorne, right?

The Valheideim Force was not instantly tabled, they're just in a forlorn hope. Beta + Lamenters are deploying to help them extract and stabilize the situation, at which point the fleetball moves to stabilize the other place on the list, and then hopefully we can converge both strike forces on the capital system before it becomes a Daemon World or something.
Maybe we should remove the Andromeda from Task Fleet Beta if we're sending it with the Lamenters. Beta will have to match speed with the Lamenter fleet and they don't have an Andromeda of their own.
Honestly, the weird thing is...
What even happened?
It's like they just went "Yeah, Neon is dead" and reality just went "Guess you're right" and suddenly there were Chaos Cults everywhere summoning daemons and shit. As relatively small and low key problems instantly just vworped into being planet threatening dangers.
This isn't the first time it happened either. Like the bit where the Slaughter was able to just insta-kill the Imperial capital ship because... Reasons I guess? It's like "Pick a target" and then "Instantly kill that target", and it almost seemed too easy? Unless the price was "Pick a target, once enough people die on either side of the battle, gain a gigantic bonus to taking your target down."
Which is a problem, because Chaos' losses count too.
Not sure if it's worth fighting over the burial planet as it doesn't seem to be much developed. Save the people Yes but No to fighting for that real estate.
We have too many fires but sending a force to evacuate should be possible…..
Holy worlds or near holy worlds are Chaos bait for a reason. They can desecrate this world and fuel the summoning of stronger daemons via the favors gained from their patrons. Not sure if it's worth fighting over the burial planet as it doesn't seem to be much developed. I think they've got their own methods or something. The Lamenters have never really seemed tied to our fleet limits.
I assumed they were just slow boating around. Though this is kind of important to have confirmation on.
@HeroCooky Do the Lamenters have a way to keep up with our Andromeda lead Fleets?
My understanding is that with out people to sacrifice that becomes harder to impossible. Just debasement of Holy Churches shouldn't be enough with out a population to purge right?
I'm not sure how great an idea that is, because you're effectively writing off Quintura Diablo and Saget.
Yes, Valheidem is important, but all of the fronts are ones that will spin out of control really god damn fast, and I don't think we can close all of them.
We don't want a Nurgle Daemon World materializing there, which is why we're stopping it. A holy cemetery site corrupted by Nurgle? That'd qualify.
I consider every single major front here to be a potential Daemon World in the making, and there's fuck-all we can do to stop one once it forms.
Again. Valheidem has Neon's fleet and ground forces still there. The whole point of the Lamenters going there after Gathin and sending TFB to there is to rally the former-Neon forces so that they aren't overrun by Chaos forces from being in disarray. Its not just Chaos forces there. It takes more than a turn for the Daemon world to form - I have no evidence but common sense, but that much corruption takes a while. And all we really need to do to hold Quintara Diablo is not remove the SAGs from it for now. Editing my plan to put that in.
I'm a little worried your plan is leaving the Lamenters out to dry and take the brunt of Chaos in Valheidem. I think just switching TFA & TFB in your plan would get me completely on board - the bigger fleet goes to Valheidem, the smaller fleet takes care of Quintura Diablo & Sagat, then they both meet up to deal with Qualach's Forge & Grabstein. Also - are you really only planning on deploying 8 out of the 12 available SAGs?

Maybe, but the dice gods are not merciful when people ignore those things. Look, I just think that we should deal with that before 88 years of bloodshed allow them to summon Greater Daemons against whom we aren't (yet) defended. There hasn't been any indication in this quest that out-of-quest numbers have any particular effect on Chaos, as far as I recall.
