Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

I propose either

[x] Kryal Assembly

or

[x] Kryal Conflux

or just [x] Kryal

Basically from the term "kryal" which means "portion of a stream fed by meltwaters." And "conflux" is a cooler-sounding synonym for "confluence." I also like "assembly" as a description of a meeting point.

To Clarify: The two sayings do not combine. They're both front halves of a saying. The implication is that the other side's half finishes the statement in the other language, but it's actually only finished by people speaking the phrase into existence.

Otherwise it's just a town name.

Build your own Proverb, just add people c:

Fitting
I once more come bearing fanart from my friend JJ, who does not have an SV account and refuses to make one, this time of Shenhua CRX Mom having some bonding time with CRX and Liming :V

"lol"
I jest
"crx mom maybe chill"

Edit: oh right i think i'm supposed to tag @yrsillar right?

Just the Xin'an is fine, was going to try to find something fitting for the opposite but if you guys include it I'll just thank you for it
Well, here's the suggestions people have had in that area if this helps:
It's half of a proverb, and I think it'd be nice for the Polar Nations settlement to also be half a proverb about peace.

Mir De Lad, Bol'shoy Klad is the alphabet version of the Russian proverb "Peace and Harmony is Great Treasure"

so Mir De Lad (Mirdelad) might be the settlement name, with the implication being that the settlement is Great Treasure even if it's only for peace and harmony purposes.
of course, many are also going to make Great Treasure from trade and tech-sharing. That's only implied by the name though, which is cool.

Okay, digging into some of my sources for Old Norse (since the Polar Nations are sorta-old norse, and I don't have anything good for old slavic languages) I'd say that the best translation for 'Xin'an' would be something like ný-friðar (pronounced new-fri-thur, with a very short 'i' on the fri). Friðar means peace, love, tranquility, which is the best fit for what we're trying to go for here, I think.

New Peace, or Novomirskiy, would have it's own double meaning in Russian - New Peace and New World. So pun counter keeps going up across languages.

If we are speaking purely about Russian (don't have qualifications to do so about other Slavic languages...) I would expect something like 'Novyi Mir' - there is a bunch of real world villages with that name. Though your variant might work too.

Are you sure those names are right? I can't find anything when I search for them in the threads or forge thread.

They're on the Discord under #comissioned-works and are set to be written a year from now though, unless Yrs moves them up the list (which I think is unlikely. He's only done that for Chicken since I joined the thread) .

You can get early access by joining Yrs Patreon since it's 2-4 (????) weeks ahead of SV, iirc.

Do you think that our latest Domain ability would let our puns transcend language? Can we say 'Zhengui' and communicate all of the different meanings of his name in that single word?

I imagine that it'd communicate whichever meaning she considered most important. If the meanings of "precious" and "real turtle" were both equally important to her, then she'd communicate both at once when she said "Zhengui."

But given that puns rely on the "hey, wait, couldn't that also mean" moment of revelation, this risks turning her into the magical cultivator equivalent of that person too busy laughing at their own joke to finish telling it properly. She is going to have to be so disciplined about this. She will manifest a trait evolution of Unbroken Will just from the exertion of having to keep a straight face the next time she gets a really awful pun.
