I think it has to do with us not getting to eat them if we get Titania to do it.
Because she can't really kill them. Nemesis is a variety of true immortal, so the shards will reform regardless of what's done to them unless it happens on Halloween or someone with a spirit killer does the job.
Those kinds of effects are ridiculously rare, to the point that the eye of balor is the only other potential match I'm aware of from canon. Regardless the fey as a faction don't really have access to them.
Sure Nemesis won't lose much, but it'll still be an actual loss. We don't have a lot of insight into what recovering things we take this way might cost or how difficult it might be, but it almost certainly won't be free.
Mentally I'm mapping it to a guy getting something between a few fingernails ripped out by the root and having part of a pinky outright bit off by a pissed feral child.
Almost certainly not life threatening, but definitely painful and upsetting.

TBH my vote remains unchanged as I REALLY do not want to waste AP and valuable ingredients for one more Splendor.
I do understand where you are coming from though, but do not feel it worth it.

I don't want to spend a splendor either, which is why I'm not voting for it.
We really need to learn to negotiate better. Splendors are basically tangible miracles, inexplicable power you can hold in your hand and use at your discretion instead of depending on continued blessings from distant entities. In a situation like the oblivion war and ongoing fight against the outside as a whole their power is terrifyingly precious.
Of course people will keep letting us pay for things with them. If you had to lead an army against the far realms how many mind blank rings would you want? How much more so when your next best option is a tinfoil hat and hope?
We should help, but there's only so much we can do if we cut ourselves to the bone in AP and crafting resources.
That's why I'm voting to pay in exorcisms; Ivy isn't going to waste those tokens, which means it's almost certainly going to be something important to her job. So the sort of things anyone sane has an interest in seeing done asap.
We'd basically be agreeing to what we'd already do anyway. There's a cost to making that an obligation, but it's a fairly light one all things considered.

I do not like it either but honestly I feel that slowly chipping away at Nemesis and outsiders is sort of the whole point of this. so backing out at the last minute feels like an unwillingness to fully commit here.

What if Lily waits outside and we whisper and ask her to attack us if she sees us without Titania. This way we've asked her for a favor that is only fulfilled if she sees us alone and it counts towards cracked cell circumvention because she's prevents us from freely leaving.
She can't attack a guest of the Court, even if you ask her to. As a fey she is bound by the word of her liege.
The archive counts as human right so she has free will. So we tell her if you see me and I walk out of that building before Titania attack me on site. That should work and it is the truth. And she's under no obligation to hold true to guest rights in that sense because we've given essentially a reason to believe that we've attacked the host.
She could do that, but you are asking her to potentially cause a diplomatic incident, that is worth a larger favor than just holding the things down herself.
That's fine but she only gets paid if she has to do it especially since we're essentially implying that if we walk out first without Titania her enemy The Enemy is walking out with our flesh.
Sadly no, she would have to be paid for taking the risk. Like if you asked her to come with you and engage in combat she would not be paid only if wounded, you pay her at the start.

Just normal ice that happens to be black? That's fine, it costs her nothing.
Metagame an ability you know you have that when you're physically constrained in some manner you are better at things I am unsure of how you can metagame that it's such a straightforward ability. it's so weird to think you can metagame that.
It's literally called cracked cell circumvention you get a bonus to all actions while you're doing it making it so staying in prison is better for you long-term than getting out if you know what you're doing it's meant to be played that way. How can you metagame something that's specifically meant to be played in an indirect fashion?
