I'm mostly opposed to the idea of teleporting next to the shamans, because I strongly suspect that they'll be ready for it. Being ready for some inhumanly strong creature to appear without warning trying to kill you during a ritual seems like a thing chaos shamans develop skills for handling, you know?

Yeah, that seems one of the first things they would learn in "how to worship Chaos 101".
Alongside "proper ass kissing", "how to prepare a humanoid sacrifice" and "how to backstab your boss".

The next update should hopefully come along a little bit quicker than this one (although I realize I'm starting to sound like a broken record with that one).
The update got stretched out because I had originally planned on cutting it at the fight against the Bloodfather, and have the vote decide how to deal with him and the Khornates, but then Fanriel rolled a Natural 100 to resist the Witchbane Curse and suddenly there wasn't really a decision point there anymore.

What do elves think about Gyrocopters and Gyrobombers? Surely even they have to be impressed by such advanced engineering.
Overly complicated toys that are a pale copy of the true air power of a dragon, or even a phoenix or gryphon. Very "Look What They Need To Mimic A Fraction Of Our Power" meme.
And to be fair gyrocopter vs dragon does NOT end well for the gyrocopter.

I mean, elves are really good and they have access to some of the most powerful things in the setting - high magic, dragons, avatars of gods... It's all just ether full of backstabbing Druchii, worn down barely maintainable Asur, or crazy forest spirits. The stuff they have is good... They just lie to themselves that it will ever be enough.

The irony of the elves is that they would probably be in space by now if they weren't so convinced that they're already perfect. I wonder what would happen if they ever realized that and what it would take to make them see that.

No? The irony (or tragedy) of the Asur, is that they live on a an incredibly magical paradise, where it's easy to grow food, and there are minimal threats, they possess wealth beyond measure and yet they are a dying species, bleeding out by inches, despite their wealth and grandeur and power.
Skaven will get there first honestly.
