Yeah I'm going to go out on a limb here that even for us and the Swordmasters taking on something like an entire nest of Jabberslythes or minotaurs is a bit much, and if the count becomes upset at us for not handling something of the scale of those with just the forces he sent with us then I honestly don't care, because we are woefully undermanned for taking on such a task while still being expected to defend the caravan at the same time.
Not all of the entries were on the same scale, just like the roll for the warbeasts of the Grimeyes started at Warhounds and ended at a Frost Wyrm.

I meant if the Rune of Purity detects ALL forms of Dhar or specificaly only Chaos energy.
Rune of Purity only works on Chaos.

Still, reassuring to know that we aren't going to get ambushed at the roadside by 1d10 Bloodthirsters on the trip back to the Stubborn Bull's fortress.
That would just be silly. Obviously it's a 1d8.

Also chad Dorial, taking the time he's off duty to make contacts by networking with the priestess we were hoping to ask for lessons for later. The man never stops thinking of the mission does he

Yeah but GMs are natural sadists, so if you're talking about how much you're looking forward to our encounter I'm going to assume we scored at the top of the threat scale.

One of the things that interests me in learning enchantment via elemental insertion is that we could also get Dorial enchanted gear then.

Name: The Iron Tusks
Description: Thane Bromir Redbeard of Barak Varr was always considered a strange dwarf, a cunning commander yes, but one who often went against millennia-old doctrine and used unorthodox tactics in battle.
His latest obsession, is Dawi Cavalry.
After a Throng he was leading was smashed by a savage charge of Orc Boar Riders, Bromir decided he wanted to create a cavalry unit of his own. And prove to all the scepitcs in his Clan that he was right abaout its effectiveness.
After learning abaout animal husbandry from the goat herders of Barak Varr, he scoured the Badlands to gather as many Giant Boars as he could.
Taming them trough sheer stubborness and using them to start his project.
He bred a new breed of Giant Boars, more disciplined than the ones used by Orcs but still fearsome.
And the fiercest of them all became his personal mount, Gromgor.
He recruited two dozen dwarfs brave or crazy enough to follow him in his quest and started journeying the realms of men as a mercenary to test and experiment with his new cavalry tactics.
Along the way, he recruited a few new members for the company. Mostly Clanless wanderers, Imperial Dwarfs and Beardlings seeking adventure.
This green recruits were assigned to some of his Riders as Apprentices, begin both their aides and squires until their earned their spurs.
He also gathered a rather large number of human camp followers, who will do all the manual labor for the company (like setting up camp, cooking, looting battlefields, carrying supplies) to allow the Riders more time to rest after battle or train for the next battle.
In battle Bromir wears his fearsome armor known as the Battleplate of Terror, an ancient relic of his Clan that was gifted to them by the Asur Mage Nyran of Nagarythe during the Golden Age and later reforged by Runesmiths as a show of Dawi superiority over the Elgi. The armor is black like a moonless night and its helm shaped like the head of a growling Manticore. The weak-willed foes who lie their eyes on the armor are struck by a supernatural fear.
He wields his runic axe Dragonclaw, engraved with a Rune of Cleaving, a Rune of Might and a Rune of Fire.
Numbers: Thane Bromir Redbeard and Gromgor (Dwarf Thane with Magic Armor and Runic Axe riding a ferocious giant Boar)
25 Dwarf Boar Riders (heavy cavalry riding giant boars, wearing heavy armor and armed with lances, axes and shields)
A dozen Dawrf Apprentices (armed as common Dwarf warriors, with axe and shield)
Dozens of Camp Followers (a few of them carry hunting spears and bows they use to hunt or defend the camp)

He bullied a few Rangers into helping him, and he started scouring the Badlands for Greenskins tribes who kept boar herds. Then he kidnapped the gobbos who took care of the boars and beat their knowledge abaout herding out of them. After repeating the process a dozen times, he knew enough to start his project.

While the base concept of "Dwarf Boar Riders" is fine, these two details are not.

Dwarfs would not learn how to tame and ride Boars from Greenskins, they would apply their own knowledge of animal husbandry (they herd goats) and figure out the rest with sheer bloody-minded stubbornness. But they would die before they tried to learn from Greenskins.

Same with wearing elven armour. While there certainly were such gifts given in the Golden Age (and some of them were even received in good spirits), any such examples would have been destroyed, melted down and reforged by Runesmiths to showcase dawi superiority over the Elgi, or buried in the deepest recess of the Karak's vaults. To wear it would be unthinkable, especially to a Karak Dwarf.

There are limits to what lengths even radical dwarfs will go to.

Also-
A dozen Dawrf Squires (armed as common Dwarf warriors, with axe and shield)
Minor detail, but they would just call them Apprentices. Even when making radical departures from tradition due to necessity, dwarfs will still take every opportunity to cloak them in the trappings of the old ways to give them legitimacy, where possible.

Okay, i will change it.

I will change it saying that it was reforged by Runesmiths, the Elven origin of the armor is kind of important because its meant to be a parallel to Lightfang.

I wil change it.
