That would probably make Molly sound childish. Not to mention we got lucky with counterspell rolls and the first Outsider was killed by Mab. So they aren't exactly overated for us either, even it doesn't look like it from the Outside looking in.Honestly, it seems like Walkers are overrated. That wasn't even my third toughest fight in the past year."
Initially it read like you were trying to give more pomp to his death yeah. You think that is showing respect? I was mocking. Also doing some anti recovery by renaming it to something lessor.
Why would we want to do that if we even could?Ask @DragonParadox after we have our Hell can we use Calling the Calibration Gate to open a gate for him? Or when we go to him in the manner described by the charm, could we use this sorcery to open a gate from him back to the human world?
I vaguely remember DP or someone else saying that he would be in NeverNever along with the other realms, (A Thousand Hells, Fairie etc) so our world could be invaded from there or our servants could go there. Why would we want to do that if we even could?
I'm pretty sure we can't because the charm was modified to be soul murder instead of imprisonment, and even if it wasn't he'd be in the thousand hells instead of our currently nonexistent one, but seriously Outsiders are bad news.
He being who? Because in this context I thought you were talking about the walker we just killed and not foot soldier demons with that first post.I vaguely remember DP or someone else saying that he would be in NeverNever along with the other realms, (A Thousand Hells, Fairie etc) so our world could be invaded from there or our servants could go there.
With the Gate we could summon attack parties or send more people to hide inside if we needed to. It's my suggestion on how to get our future soldiers to us the easiest way.
The fairies and others can deploy their soldiers from the NeverNever to the human world or vice versa easily and we can't unless there is a future change.
Your Kingdom is not in the Nevernever, it is a world soul spun of your own essence in imitation of demiurges ancient beyond words, It can be reached from the Nevernever since it is also a hell which means it should be possible for souls to escape from there and become Jade Court Vampires, but it is not made of the substance of that realm. The best comparison in canon WoD I can think of is the Hollow Earth which is both a spirit realm, but also a place where you can go as a fully corporeal being by digging down.
He as our HellHe being who? Because in this context I thought you were talking about the walker we just killed and not foot soldier demons with that first post.
Hmm...I think I agree with you on that. Thanks for explaining. My read is that it's more like a new shed in reality's backyard than a new room in the house in some ways.
Organizing an expedition and excavating more infernal shards is on my to-do list. People seem hesitant, however. If you want to find circle mates look at the origin of your powers
Our kingdom is in our anima / soul, and is not part of NeverNever (so, for example, eating food there doesn't create a risk of your body turning into ectoplasm and being unable to function in reality for a prolonged period of time). It might be accessible from NeverNever, however."I vaguely remember DP or someone else saying that our Hell would be in NeverNever along with the other realms, (A Thousand Hells, Fairie etc) so our world could be invaded from there or our servants could go there."
Finding other Exalted is a no brainier because if Exalted exist then we really want to be aware of who they are and what they are doing, but finding shards is more iffy since there is no way to control who they go to.Organizing an expedition and excavating more infernal shards is on my to-do list. This is very arguable. A half-brained scheme by Kakuri servants, using very incomplete understanding of what an exaltation is, a ritual made on a shoestring budget and a very tight timeline, and working against an actively hostile active exaltation had a chance of success. A low chance, but a chance still.
Let's say you are right who would you propose as our candidates? This is very arguable. A proper setup made by an actual infernal exalted, with significant prep-time, Ancient Sorcery and charms, and involving both a non-hostile exaltation and carefully selected and prepared candidate has far more chances, I feel.
I wouldn't bet on being able to select hosts for a solar exaltation, but Infernal ones are special. They have sapient coajutors, who we should be able to actually talk and bargain with, and who might be able to be convinced to side with us / exalt our allies (as long as they are actually suitable for exaltation). Especially if we are the ones to excavate them and give them a chance.
So, that's actually a very good question. So, let's see the criteria for an infernal exaltation:Let's say you are right who would you propose as our candidates?
I am, to be honest, unsure if we have anyone truly fitting. We generally work hard to prevent people in our monkeysphere from feeling like failures.Infernal Exaltation only visits itself upon people
who meet three criteria.
First, the individual must be in some way excep-
tional. Many Infernals were world-class experts in their
field, even before Exaltation, but skill and prowess are
not the only measures by which the Chosen of Ruin
may gain profane notice. Extraordinary courage, con-
viction, or willpower are also all common features
which are likely to draw the Exaltation to an individual.
Second, they must have encountered the supernatu-
ral world at some point in their lives and recognized it as
such. The Infernal Exaltation has no time to waste with
the uninitiated; the apocalypse looms, and the sooner
the newly-empowered Demon Prince pulls down the pil-
lars of Heaven, the sooner she can ascend its rubble to
take her rightful place as Demon Emperor or Empress.
And so the Infernal Exalted are drawn exclusively from
the ranks of those who have beheld witches dancing at
their black Sabbaths and making offerings of blood to
the gods of old; who have seen the monstrous beings in
the deepest offices and laboratories of Pentex facilities;
who have laid themselves prostrate before a vampire and
begged to feel again the ecstasy of his fangs.
Finally, the individual must feel in her heart of
hearts that she has failed to grasp her dreams, or has
attained and squandered them, and that her life is a fail-
ure. Despair is the beacon that guides the Infernal Exal-
tations, and they can only infuse their stolen and twist-
ed power into the hearts of the weak and the wounded.
