Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

So, that's actually a very good question. So, let's see the criteria for an infernal exaltation:

I am, to be honest, unsure if we have anyone truly fitting. We generally work hard to prevent people in our monkeysphere from feeling like failures.

Harry might fit a tiny bit, even if he's more of a Solar. Olivia might also work. However, my best answer would be - once we get our kingdom, look through its population to find a suitable candidate.
Maybe Murphy right after being fired. But that doesn't seem likely to happen.

Their is no way to predict who will exalt by design. If it was possible the primordial would just gank new exalted the moment they happen.

Also really don't see this staying under wraps the Reds, and every other summoner that deals with that outsider, are going to notice that one of the outsiders they regularly contact suddenly stopped responding.

I'm pretty sure DP said the only other active Exaltation he had planned to be outside the Vault is a Sidereal? And obviously opening the Vault isn't going to give us any control over anything, it's too big, so we should be more focused on potential Sidereal candidates.

… which is one of the hardest Exalted types to predict in terms of potential hosts, even without throwing in the extra variable of not knowing which cast we're dealing with. Don't know how that works out. Unless someone has ideas?

I do not really saying anything about exalts on the loose, even if there are any, much less what kind. That said if you are looking for more people like Molly take the options to look IC

Infernal exaltations are special in that they have coajutors that could, in principle, be bargained with before exaltation happens.

Indeed. And I think we should, because if we don't, others will. So far we know that both Kakuri and Odin are looking, and Odin already has some clues.

Arc 3 down. Fuck the Fomor. I look forward to stabbing Corb in the face. He is protected by his fate, but we are not bound by fate.

I'm also happy that Ruth is safe. I got really emotionally invested in her really quickly.

Nah, we are about the middle of the month.
We still have Sandra the possible Outside-agent and I think an action on the Nagloshii?
We have almost all of the planned actions still not done:
[] Plan Obligations and practicing for family
-[] Attend school you have friends at school and you would like the memories of senior year and graduation even if they won't be teaching you anything worthwhile (If neither School nor getting your GED is chosen Molly will systematically skip class)
-[] Restoring the Last Station: Restoration efforts have been going well and according to Adam some more of the people down in the tunnels have shown interest in their newfound wealth and comfort (6/10) [+extra AP from potion]
--[] Use bonus AP
-[] Chariots for the One Eye: As part of her deal to ally against the Will of Kakuri you promised Odin vehicles hit for his warriors, time to show your chops.
-[] The Bridges of the Spirit, continue your training with Brother Divsimar not in the ways of the spirit but the mind, the Bridge of Dreams
-[] A friend in need. You promised Rosie that you would help and so you will, with problems material and ethereal
--[] Talking to the family, you do not like Mrs Wilsom and the feeling is mutual, but as your experience at church yesterday showed you do not have to like someone to turn on the supernatural charm. Maybe you could work something out, or at least explain some of what her daughter is going through
-[] The Seeker Sought given that you can teleport now maybe you can find a Medicine Man of the blood to deal with the Naagloshii. Given what you know of Broken Seeker and his... people now perhaps they would be more inclined to help you deal with them. Even if you do not find any takers you can deal with him.
So far we have done Rosie, and martial arts training. We are a third of the way in. And even if both school and Last Station can probably be handled in an update or two, we have Odin's weaponry and naagloshii hunt to tackle.

This is likely to be the biggest arc yet.

This is very arguable. A half-brained scheme by Kakuri servants, using very incomplete understanding of what an exaltation is, a ritual made on a shoestring budget and a very tight timeline, and working against an actively hostile active exaltation had a chance of success. A low chance, but a chance still.

A proper setup made by an actual infernal exalted, with significant prep-time, Ancient Sorcery and charms, and involving both a non-hostile exaltation and carefully selected and prepared candidate has far more chances, I feel.

I wouldn't bet on being able to select hosts for a solar exaltation, but Infernal ones are special. They have sapient coajutors, who we should be able to actually talk and bargain with, and who might be able to be convinced to side with us / exalt our allies (as long as they are actually suitable for exaltation). Especially if we are the ones to excavate them and give them a chance.

[X] Crown questions after the fighting ends
-[X] Occult excellency and ATB
-[X] Using the body of the sacrifice "Who is the Empyreal Chaos spoken of by the being summoned through this sacrifice?"
-[X] Using the bodyguard "What were the plans of the being they fought alongside with and tried to protect?"
-[X] Using a random party goes of no importance "what was the non-human language heard by this person during the fight?"

I am not letting the questions get away from me.
When failure has a chance of "evil planets set loose on reality" we need certainty. Might does not cut it.

From an OOC perspective I at least also don't want to flush the Dresden Files out of the quest quite yet. Which seems like an inevitable part of the power creep involved in cracking open the exaltations' final resting places and letting them loose.

Wizards will never be really irrelevant, they are the strongest WoD-splat with good reason.
Give them a problem, even if that problem is Exalted running around, and some time to research and prepare, and they can usually deal with it.

My counter-argument is that we have been repeatedly shown and told that opposition also gets a vote, and at least some hints that other exaltations might be obtainable in the setting. I would much rather have Infernal Susan Rodriguez being our rival for Harry's interest, than Marcone being our rival for Chicago's lordship. And that's for infernals; abyssals (the other splat that should be outside Black Vault and could thus, theoretically, be obtained without flipping the setting's table over) are a whole different thing.

And, of course, if we are looking for more circle mates, there might be a tribe of dragonblooded somewhere in the deep NeverNever (possibly in stasis), or Autochtonian ruins.

It's important to ask questions now for two reasons:
1) Access to temporary foci (sacrifice's body, party goers)
2) Our anima already flaring. We don't risk giving anything away because it's already on full display. We need to ask the questions before it dies down.
The only bodyguard that stayed never fought alongside the summoned outsider.

Which means that question likely fizzles?

Or do you mean an entirely different being?
They didn't? And so they didn't. Hmm, ok.
