Rune of Beacon Bright
Banners with this rune shall glow like the sun, piercing the darkness of night or dark caverns. All allies illuminated shall feel the light of hope within their breast, and will rally around it's bearer. Their foes shall instead be dazzled if they look upon it.
Rune of Beacon Burning
Compared to it's brother Rune, this is more like a burning fire to a candle. Foes that look upon it are blinded, their very eyes seared. Extended viewing can even cause permanent blindness and delirium, apparently inducing dreams of golden light and burning warriors. The effect is strongest against Daemons, with the weakest or wounded among them being banished, screaming of the "Anama", or something.
Rune Combo: Golden Beacon
(Beacon Bright, Burning, Golden Doom)
Golden, shining light emits from these Runes, casting back all shadows and foulness. Those that march beneath the banner gain a golden hue to their amour and skin, able to with stand blows that would cripple lesser men and strike back with impossible speed and power. Their hearts will be filled with a surety of purpose that boarders on unnatural, and they shall fight till their last breath and maybe beyond. Foes shall quall under the light, their skin burning and eyes boiling. In madness and pain they shall lash out, more often then not striking their own. So it is decreed.
The Runelord that created these runes, and the related combo, did so after returning from being cast into the Warp by a Lord of Change. Seemingly free of taint, he would often speak of a golden light burning away foulness. After creating the Runes, and teaching them to his apprentices, he vanished again.
(Unsure if the Combo works, Runes might count as Master)
Rune of The Chameleon
A Rune for armour or cloaks. The item shall shift in colour to match what lies behind it, able to instantly change and shift as the wearer move. Has the curious affect of responding to heightened emotions; becoming red for blazing anger, or blue for deep sorrow.
Rune of The River's Hunter
The Rune grants the ability to see perfectly when in shallow water, and extended lung capacity to remain under for longer.
Rune of The Eternity Guardian
The Bearer of this Rune can stand guard for extended periods, being so still they can be mistaken for statues. They shall feel no urge to eat, sleep or relive themselves. Their hearts beat slow to a crawl, until the time for action comes, when they move with a shocking burst of speed.
Runepriest Guandel Thungison was a wanderer that was thought dead after the incursion. Instead he returned, after two centuries has passed, carrying strange relics and stranger ideas. Where he was, and what he was doing, he shall tell no one, claiming to have sworn an Oath on the Ancestor's ancestors. Now a Runelord of Karak Azul, having been thrown out of his home of Karak Zorn, he uses the title "Warm-Beard".
Rune of Grimnir's March
As the Ancestor strode unflinching to his Doom, so shall the bearer of this Rune. Once they have chosen their target - be it a foe, a position, or an ally in need of defending - none can bar their path. They shall be unstoppable by all but the most grievous blow or wound, stomping over or through those that block their path. If it is a foe they aim to fight, then the two shall be locked in Fate; one shall walk away, and the other shall die.
Rune of the Matron's Wrath
Made in honour of Valaya, and all Dawi Mothers. To wear this Rune is to feel the fury of a mother whose child is hurt, the grief of those who have lost sons, and the anger of those whose' clan is under threat. Their blows shall land with desperate strength, and they shall not rest until those they care for are safe.
Rune of The Needful Bag
When this Rune is placed on a container, and something already inside is need, it shall always be the first thing removed. A quirk of this Rune is that it produces items that the user might not realise they need; a dawi that reaches for a waterskin and pulls out a dagger could about to be ambushed.
Rune of Bacon Burning
Made by a Runesmith of odd temperament, and odder taste. A surface with this Rune, when touched, is able to instantly fry flesh crispy black. Used in defence and cooking.
