[ ] Going to my friend, Li Suyin's Inner Sect home, to visit her and Su Ling

[ ] Going to the main square of the Inner Sect Mountain, to meet Han Jian, her one time friend.
Are we gonna get whatever option we don't choose later?? I specifically would like to know if we're gonna get the chance to speak Han Jian later. I would reeeaally like it if we could, it would add so much to the nostalgia of this mini-arc! We never got to touch base with him after he got into the Inner Sect, we should at least say goodbye to him and Han Fang before we leave.

I was inclined to go for Suyin this time, but the theme here is Paying Respects, so from a narrative perspective it makes sense to say goodbye to Han Jian.
Ling Qi glanced between the open seats, but in the end, the choice was obvious. Dong Fu's advice still echoed in her ears, and… if she was honest with herself, she wanted to follow it.

It came down to loneliness in the end. If there was one thing Ling Qi's effort to remain unconstrained had failed to give her, it was friends. Given Mother's occupation, that pool had always been limited to begin with and living as she had for the last four years had not allowed her to spend a long time in anyone's company.

With that in mind, she chose the option that at least seemed friendly. She began to make her way down the stairs toward the handsome boy with the tiger cub at a sedate pace. Even if his friendliness was a facade, it was better than indifference or hostility.
Other than Dong Fu, who brought her there, Han Jian was the very first person she spoke with at the Sect. He was there when Qi became a student. He should be there when she leaves.

There's a chance for Han Jian to become relevant again??? Or at least a last look. Wow that sounds awesome, definitely want to go for that. Should probably have the chance to see SuSu later. Less sure we'd get a repeat offer to see him

My suspicion is that we're gonna keep getting these for at least a bit longer. We may actually get to speak to everyone and this just determines the order we speak to them in (and possibly the mechanical relevance of doing so? We got really nice stuff from that first one), or alternatively the very last vote, whoever loses we may not get to talk to. I don't know which of those is true, though I do suspect that this is not the final vote in the chain.

Yeah, as pointed out in the previous vote we've got a bunch of upcoming stuff with Li Suyin and Su Ling anyway.

They were soon in front of the crumbled cairn of rocks that served as Zeqing's grave, giving their respects. Hanyi blew out a breath, growing blooms of frost from the cracks between the stones, and Ling Qi placed the cold burning sticks of incense into the little burner set out on the altar of clear blue ice set up before it, letting the soft blue-white smoke be carried away into the storm, and the slowly, slowly reforming entity that she could sense within it.

Is this part in contradiction with the part before, during the creation of FFS? Who put the altar there?

The two of them had not set up any kind of shrine, nor a place to give offerings. Zeqing was not even the slightest bit human after all. There was no point in using human rituals for her. Instead, they had come and for the first day spoken before the rubble, spoken and sang. Offering thanks and memories to the Zeqing that was.

"And you will drag the whole of the Empire a finger length or two, if you have your way," he chuckled. "I am so proud of my junior sister, finally finding her sovereign's appetite."

"Big Sis is just too shy sometimes, " Hanyi said with an imperious nod. "But she's getting better! You should come hang out at her new place with the big snake guy and the turtle guy she's got hanging around."

She dropped a hand onto the top of Hanyi's head, ruffling her hair a bit harder than necessary. "Please excuse my junior sister. She lets her mouth run sometimes."

I am SO glad to have Hanyi back around. Our adorable little desire gremlin can fluster Ling Qi even after her Tribulation growth. 😁

Han Jian would be fitting, we grew apart a while back, but our success was built on a foundation of his kindness, however awkward things got with his group.

All because he had a cute kitty :p

I'm not sure about that. In the last vote, it was explicitly mentioned, but it's not in this vote. @yrsillar , will the unpicked option appear in a later vote? Or will it disappear forever?

I can't imagine missing a chance to see Suyin and Su Ling, they are the best

We kind of told Han Jian goodbye already, while Su Ling and Li Suyin are recurring characters in the story that don't show up nearly enough.

I'm all for visiting Han Jian. It's a realistic way to bring the Golden Fields into the summit so that we'll have all the ducals.

Plus, again, saying goodbye to one of the earliest people who helped Ling Qi when she started out also really fits the tone of "Paying Respects".

I doubt that talking with Han Jian here will be what brings a GF ducal representative to the Summit.

I guess it makes sense to pay respects to the very first person Ling Qi talked with at the Sect. But it has been so long since Ling Qi has interacted with him or even thought about Han Jian. I really can't bring myself to care.
I would rather spend time with the original vent duo, even if we have plans to meet them in a couple months and plotlines to advance in the long term.
To have one last meeting as Sect Disciples.

I'm not sure about that. In the last vote, it was explicitly mentioned, but it's not in this vote. @yrsillar , will the unpicked option appear in a later vote? Or will it disappear forever?

I would rather not know that, it makes the choices more meaningful.

Cool T-1000 arm, Liao Zhu.

Leaning towards this, honestly. I think it'd be interesting to hit him up in the overarching... atmosphere of our political project. And hey, he's from a Marquis clan and we're starting to settle a, let's face it, march, so maybe he could give us some advice. Like "don't die"! More seriously, I'm not looking for some big political conversation, I just think the political context surrounding the two of them should contextualize their chatting in interesting ways. Especially as the two both move towards departing their youths for duties.

This is also a good narrative opportunity for Ling Qi to think about letters she's exchanged with Xiulan, which yrsillar hasn't managed to squeeze in anywhere else so far. The public thirsts for Xiulan news!

I don't really see the "goodbye" in Forge as a true goodbye. It felt more like "No hard feelings as we go fight each other in the tournament", and had a bunch of unsettled feelings because of Han Jian's frustration with being passed and the whole GF friend group implosion.

It'll be interesting to see them say their goodbyes since they've grown apart and into themselves and their roles. For example, the Ji Rong duel. Sure, we'd duelled him before, but that final duel after the journey underground felt like a real duel, where they acknowledged each other, their growth, and their future paths.

It's the difference between making a promise as a little kid and making a promise, say, during college graduation.

OUR GOYRLS! We've all come so far! What new horizons are they going to occupy themselves with going forward?

Han Jian was so aaawkward last time, though! I'd be at least as interested in going to fawn a little over Lorge Hejin and get to try qi-speech with Han Fang.

So, we have some unknown number of visits left. We'll need one for Jiao and Xin, presumably. SuSu and Han Jian are still on the table as well. Who else could potentially be options?

I wanna see the hope die when he sees how far we've come

Dirty Ugly Disgusting River Eel :V

More seriously though, Elder Hua Su, I think, and our military commander (Guan Zhou, iirc). We may also visit Lin Hai.

I can also see paying respects to Muscle Elder and Shen Hu's graves one last time, especially with Renshu's recent comeback.

We've already put our meetings with Wang Chao and the training group to rest, so that doesn't need to be addressed.

And since the action also mentioned some trials and caves, I can see us visiting the Bloody Moon dream, the Argent Vent, and Zhengui's parents' prison.
