I don't see loyalties as being that much more useful a question.

They definitely have to have a copy of the warrant on them, and show it to you at request when making an arrest using one. So I don't see a difference between this and what I've already posted.

it works at least partially off intents and if we want both as long as its not multiple questions we should get both. If we look at a database for example and ask everything in it we would get the entire database even if we might not understand it all. Maybe ask for all of the whys of them being here which would get us the scenarios and their personal motivations which definitely includes corruption or straight up criminal activity that their doing right now.

could just ask for what all the reasons their here right now which gives personal motivations, the motivations of those not here, and the how of it all.

honestly we have dresden if a fight breaks out saving essence to not ask a question on the crown seems a bad decision. also just base attribute and skills if going gets real tough.

Edit: I recommend a question on all the reasons for them being here all being a key word.

Dresden can't kill mortals with magic shutout breaking the laws, and his combat skill involved lots of fire and force.

When he doesn't have a focus at hand he becomes less efficient and more broadly destructive.

I don't think he has anything to cast that wouldn't risk killing a regular mortal other than maybe his force rings. Which still hit hard enough to be lethal in the right circumstances.

if their pure mortals which it looks like hes more likely to run anyways. Also we have damn near superhuman stats we can kill or knock them out. pure humans are not going to take us out easily here. also he can use shields to defend himself from guns.

Edit: Also meta reason anything that can shapeshift to make peoples faces is something uh very non human or at least has power from very non human things the premier shapeshifter of the council can't shift into other humans much less specific faces. That should net us some essence for forbidden knowledge if we learn who and or what they are which asking for all the reason their here would tell us.
if the video evidence isn't complete bullshit that is.

offhand why don't you just ask for the all the reasons the head agent is here? That should give well all the reasons his and the reasons for how he got to here.

Which is why Im asking for everyone in his chain of command giving him orders, whether its the FBI or anyone secret.
Because whether he's a dupe or a collaborator, this isnt likely to be his idea.

No, thats not how I understand Crown of Eyes works.
Specific questions get specific answers.

You cant just ask broad ranging questions and expect the QM to give it to you.
For one thing, its not how Crown of Eyes is supposed to work, and for the other, we're supposed to be playing a quest, not having the QM play it for us.

I mean we asked how a question about soulgaze and got something from several centuries ago and something from mccoy. it can clearly provide multiple things also the qm thing ehhh thats an annoying thing playing smart shouldn't ruin a game and its not like we'd get everything everything we'd get why hes here and we'd get what brought him to this which would likely include what set dresden up.

Any chance you can word it so that we'll only ask questions using the Crown until we receive a satisfactory answer? If we figure out what's actually going on by question number two, there's no point in asking a third question.

I dont agree.
We got an answer pretty closely focused on soulgazes; we saw McCoy in that vision, but it gave us no information on him or how significant he was, or that he was Senior Council or Blackstaff.

Yes, thats Molly inputting instructions for Clippy.

I was going to ask more before I remembered that it cost 1x Essence per use.

Be a good reason to grab a dot of Law. Not so we can act as a lawyer (though with our abilities we could be a dang good one) but so that we could know 'something's up.'

And yes, we 'should' hire a lawyer in such situations, but even having a vague idea something's up in such situations is a good thing.

I assume you are accounting for the fact that the FBI answers to the DoJ, which is outside of the FBI?

Not really seeing any bad plans at the moment, so I'll hold off on voting for now.

Are you intending to make it obvious that we're recording them or not? It's sort of ambiguous with the way you formatted this, and relevant to the scene.

I also think it's worth adding getting McCoy's number, because the white council has to have experience with this sort of issue. I mean, they send people to perform executions with broadswords all across the planet; legal trouble shouldn't be a new problem for them. They also have little interest in screwing Harry while they need him blasting vampires. Influence via dug in wizard contacts would make this a lot easier.

We should definitely press the issue on the warrant harder than you are doing here too. They don't need to present them under some circumstances, but in a peaceful arrest like this has been they don't have too much in the way of grounds to deny it.

This also seems like a good opportunity to set up persistent Clippy alerts. She's always listening anyway, so we might as well get pings from the internet to help cover gaps in our knowledge where we can.

DoJ arent giving orders in the case of a murdered CPD detective whose only FBI link is his spouse being an agent.
Strictly local case of local personage.

If any link of this chain/network of command is outside the Chicago FBI, its automatically sus.
If there's anyone giving orders in this case outside Chicago, its sus until otherwise proven, even if they were in the FBI or DoJ.

I decided to leave it ambiguous because Im not sure if Illnois is currently a one or two party consent state for recording in 2006, so them seeing us thumbing the phone could just as easily be text messaging.

We dont know what McCoy's number is. Im not even sure he has a phone number instead of a dropbpx.
And I dont necessarily think he's anywhere near where a message would reach him in a timely manner; there's a war on .
Assess before we decide this requires a Senior Council member.

The warrant does not have to be presented at arrest. I checked. Hence the lawyer.
And bugging the head agent's phone for access to his emails and phone calls and movement data.

The part that tickles me right now? If these are actual FBI agents with an FBI car out there, with FBI electronics, using HMP on it will give us access to encrypted FBI communication bands and the installed computer, assuming there's an installed computer like in police cars. If nothing else, the car can communciate with Clippy.
