[X] Meet with Grand Master Voldus

First we give them what they want, that is better magic to smite daemons.
Once we have build a bit of trust we can give them what they actually need, that is support to build a less crazy indoctrination-program.

You know, the more I think about it, the less sure I'm about going first for Grand Master Aidan Perdron. While the trials are inhumane and narrow the number of recruits that make it through the process to a bare trickle, we should also consider how the Grey Knights will see Pandora tampering with their trials instead of gifting them more knowledge that will be directly useful for fighting Daemons. Laying out the foundation for their future teachings would probably help way more in making them move towards being our true allies.

And as we basically have to take the action to teach them in the next turn, this should accelerate the process greatly. Meanwhile, the trials being adjusted won't probably impact the rest of the stuff we want to teach them as much. So voting the High Prognosticar for both the politics and to accelerate how fast we can teach them in the next turn.

Imagine as the mother pass on she saw a tearful Pandora upon her upon throne with all her memories back before vanishing unable to say anything.

Yea, this makes the most sense and probably is what the grey knights want the most right now.

There is certainly a point to be made that we want them to be content with this, not least because our next turn may well end up being Astronomicon refurbishing instead of the Grey Knights, so we can give them something that in their eyes is unambiguously shiny to make up for that.

I bet the Emperor nerfed his humanity just so he'd be able to endure

The 'canon' answer iirc is he did it to kill Horus because he still loved his favorite son too much to do it even if the Galaxy was at stake and Sanguinius was lying dead on the floor. Considering how terribly he treated most of the other Primarchs that always seemed weird but I guess Horus was the one he found first and mostly got to raise, he might have just felt like a real father for him alone.

She never knew what her eldest daughter would become, or even that she had a daughter. Half-impressions, forgotten memories, a feeling like she was missing something in the house. But she died never realising the magnitude of her loss. Probably for the best; Pandora was close to both of her parents. Who knows what might have happened if only her mother remembered.
Huh, what do you know, it is raining.
