I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

"Ooh Awesome! We can make eternally working Gronti, just have to wait and figure out how to arm it."

"W... Well. Maybe we could do some interesting stuff with the brains and a mental rune... Might make it sorta sentient maybe? What do you mean only Adamant layered?!"

"Welp. There goes that idea. Guess there's only hoping either Movement of Things or Runemetal lead to a Mythical ingredient somewhere in the far future."

At this point I've halfway given up hope that we'll ever make a Mythical Gronti. Legendary sure, either out of frustration or lack of any clear progress. But even if we end up facing an ancient Meargh, a practically immortal Fimir Witch-Queen. Fimir are creatures of mist, darkness and (in some earlier lore) water. So any chances at something that fits a Gronti seem slim.
 
Come on guys, the gronti is tribute to honor Grimnir, we need to make it to the best of out abilities and then some

And create viable plans for its equipment and move further down the research trees that improve grontis
 
The first Storm of Magic is a very potent motivator, but not enough, in my mind, to outweigh the need for a material that's really special. If we're using Adamant as the base component, I'll feel bad making the rest of it without ingredients that measure up.

I'm kind of miffed we are using Kholek's brain without research and on a non-Master rune, too.

That's Kholek Suneater. Probably as high-end a guy as we will ever fight.

The body itself only really needs one rune picked- the Master slot is taken up by it being a gronti, and one is all but certain to be Grimnir.

There's already flavor text for it, has it been snipped?
 
It's safer to use it on a regular rune than it is a Master Rune since the Master Rune's care about their ingredients more.

It's even safer to just not use it until it's researched but that ship has sailed. It is what it is now. I hope you're right and this is an actually good use of it. Either way we'll never really know unless Soul decides to tell us.

Hopefully we can make my Talisman another time.

It would be nice if Soulcake could tell us what the brain was actually supposed to do after the vote is over OOC.

Nice thing about the talisman is we can probably get it to work off primordial world energy instead of pure deep magic for a 4th piece to the set.

Also, since primordial world is looking to be the theme, both an ice age themed axe or a meteorfall axe actually fit our combo lol.

The primordial world and deep magic are both themes, but only the latter is a power source.

I have no objection to the cloak beyond using a one of a kind tier five reagent that we have not researched for a non-master rune which may not work with it. That is wasteful on a level I cannot condone. As such even if I am a little unhappy with the vagueness of the Grimnir Gronti at this stage and that we are not ready to use the brain on it, I prefer that to risking wasting such a rare resource. There will be other storms of magic, there will not be other brains of Kholek Suneater so I would rather risk not get the most out of this storm then risk wasting an irreplaceable resource.
 
I think if that Gronti ever gets made, it'll join the halls of dwarven sayings, right next to Durin's Consternation.

Snorri's Gronti is a project of great promise, but one that you can't seem to ever get the right ingredients and time to make it into reality.
