"I'm… not really sure," Ling Qi admitted. "I want to see what I can learn from the past, but I don't quite know where to begin."
Maybe she was thinking too hard about this, if there was any place to simply follow your impulses it was here.
She trailed off as she felt a warmth in her hand, and glanced down to see the compass,it's face lit from within, the crystal shard inside had stoppedsp[inning and instead vibrated in place, pointing out towards a mountain of jumbled palaces and rickety tree platforms.
She scanned the room, considering her next action. The compass was no further help. It had returned to spinning lazily. She could simply participate in the revel, she was on her guard now. Who knew what she might be able to learn here… on the other hand. It did worry her how easily she had fallen under the spell. And the more she looked the more she was certain that these were not merely echoes, but spirits wearing them like scarves.
These two locations seem like places for Ling Qi to start learning from the past, and are liable to involve separate traits to train.
[] Enjoy the revel, and mingle with the echoes of the long dead and the dream spirits which might wear their faces. (Gain location access, The Fantasian Revel)
Based upon the location name this seems likely to involve improvised musical performances by Ling Qi, and we did just learn that the Emerald Seas has a rich history for music.
[] Make for the door, and find what lies behind the throne. (Gain location access, The Shattered Gaol.)
I'm uncertain what this will involve trait wise, but the ritual that weakened the Hunting King sufficiently for a none white to fight him to a mutual KO is what comes to mind, and we know via Xin using them that dream cages exist, So it wouldn't surprise me if one way to bridge the gap is the target into the Dream where you can force them to go through scenarios, and allow the pride of the king to result in an own goal where he does the equivalent of making a geas that reality forces him to violate.
[X] Make for the door, and find what lies behind the throne. (Gain location access, The Shattered Gaol.)
Although I'm simply rather curious if the gaol is a byproduct of what allowed a prisim to kick up a realm tbh.
