I think this is actually the most recent story by far--this seems to me like the story of the recent time where, IIRC, Ling Qi pulled everyone into Dream to save them but was injured doing it, Sixiang wove her a dream cocoon to heal, and a nightmare spirit tried to tempt her to come out and 'save' everyone, at great personal cost. Ling Qi managed to resist, though, and the nightmare hitched a ride with Xuan Shi.

I'm honestly pretty interested to see how she'd tell that story, if that is it, or (if I'm wrong) what the story is supposed to be instead. I'd also like the Heart Demon plot line taken out back and shot, because as previously discussed there hasn't been enough actual movement there to interest me, but...

...this feels like the most appropriate follow-up, from where the story is.

I am curious, since mechanical effects don't necessarily seem to follow from the tale, will our choice affect what story Jaromilla tells us in return?

After giving up that priceless trove of music just to get...a treasure we're trading for Meng cred, I don't want to let another unique music opportunity slip away.

A spirit walking story just sounds like it would be fun to hear, and we've already had a couple views back at Ling Qi's street rat days.

It might actually be that these folk's way of cultivation is actually much better when it comes to just saying "no, you don't get to rule" to people who.... really shouldn't rule.

We know next to nothing about the White Sky's history, and only the broad strokes of the founding of their wider polity. More than willing to bet you'll find plenty of wars and back-stabbing there as well.
