This looks interesting, while the story is not one i most would look forward to, i would like to get closer to Jaromila and Hanyi gettning insight is also nice.

Hmm, I am for one would also just want the bloody heart demon gone. It is taking up so much narrative and quest discussion space that it should be taken out back and given the Rasputin treatment.

But the narrative flow into that one seems off to me somehow. Vague feeling that it does not really fit into what came out of this scene. Probably gonna vote for [] The tale of a daughter and mothers. A tale of loss and a tale of growth. (Jaromila bond up, Hanyi gains insight/bonus toward FSS successor) as that one flows better and also give some valueable stuff also.
 
Mmm, I kinda like (2) because I feel like our FSS insight just hasn't gotten enough discussion in terms of LQ's drivers. FVM is brought up all the time, but FSS? Not so much. Despite there being lots of important stuff there :(

I mean, even that's not true, as many, if not most, of the prisms are inactive elders.

This is big tempting, both for the goodie it gives and because I'm always down for talking about urchin Ling Qi. I'm not sure on the timing though. We have some other questlines we're kind of in the middle of. Fusing the music skill advancement quest to something else we're already working on seems awkward, and so does crowding our schedule with something new.

Talking about our mothers is also always cool. I like the reciprocity of this dialogue with Jaromila in particular; we might get to learn more about her daughter, too.

I'm kind of interested in exactly what the "dreamer" and "nightmare" are here, because I'm not coming to concrete and obvious conclusions. The heart demon is kind of a significant issue, and it's one that hampers our other efforts, including work on our relationships with our loved ones. But at the same time our heart demon exploration has been kind of consistently wishy washy and confused, so it's hard to be excited about another showcase. The vagueness of this story's subject matter is a bit ambivalent in that regard. It's not obviously awkward, but it's also difficult to cast your imagination down its path. It's definitely tempting as an option.

Hard to remember that when your liege's liege is one of those exceptions that is civic minded though.

While true, from a practical standpoint Shenhua is gonna be who Polar Gates and White Sky in particular have to deal with for the next 700+ years so learning to live with a white as your neighbor is the reality

Ngl, I kind of want that internal insight but at the same time I really really don't want to be telling a nasty story with no upside here. We're flavoring our relationship to come here. Plus this one seems like ti would be the most relateable and understandable to the other party, and perhaps we will get something similar in exchange that can help us gain other benefits from this interaction.

Also in most of the powerful families the head of the family is 1~2 realms below the family's most powerful members.

I think the dream refers to her desire to fly free carrying her roots, the nightmare I am less sure on but I guess it has to do with failing to reach that dream.

Hmmm, the tale of daughter and mothers might be more of a clue to its contents than i first thought.

Ling Qi is a daughter of many mothers, even if some of those mothers have been, or were, around only for a very brief time.

Yeah, it's one of the top candidates that's a specific discrete thing, but I'm not 100% confident in pegging it down to that. Probably though.

Another one that occurred to me, yeah. I was also like, "Maybe it's soft touching on Ling Qi's fearful past more abstractly?" but then I remembered Ling QI has no real aspirations, so the "Dreamer" epithet is inappropriate except when used literally. :p

I want that damn heart demon gone, but trying to do therapy with a near-stranger feels deeply weird and uncomfortable, and we need to put the success of the mission above our individual goals.
