What about a talisman that helps navigate the Liminal Realm? It makes sense that we would go for it after our our last outing there and it fits the Hui. It could help us if we ever want to explore the liminal realm like some people were thinking.
Note our social perception is already A rank - we're solid there.
Here's how I think it went in part:
Eh, maybe. I would like more meaningful, impactful talismans though that we can see actually doing something when Zhengui chooses to use it. I've always found resist talismans pretty hard to spot being used in a fight.
And we've only just begun! This is like a couple of days outside of the Empire's borders and already the investment into this project is paying off. And we've just been traveling to the goal! The great thing about this arc is just how powerful Cai's position as heiress will be once she gets back. Defeating a corpse Hui, getting reps from a powerful spider group, doing diplomacy outside of the empires borders. All of it looks really good.
Zhengui is pretty strong. His main problem in fight is that his arts are too costly, with Two Minds tech he can spam techs, but he didn't have Qi to do that. I propose we give him talisman for Qi regeneration. It will also follow his Renewal theme nicely.Eh, maybe. I'm out of the talisman tinkering, I will let the math cabal do their thing
Each person may create one talisman, the three talismans with the most votes will be claimed by Ling Qi.
Our flute does melee damage, no need for knivesMaybe Ling Qi should start focusing more on her offense?
For example maybe knives that can complement her Domain Weapon?
While I like the idea, that's probably overkill. Here are his stats in terms of Qi.Zhengui is pretty strong. General:
Base Health: B20
- E rank Health Regeneration
Available Qi: B3
- Upkeep effects: Blood Boiling Venom (-5)
- F rank qi regen while not moving
- D rank qi regen with LQ domain active and Elegy up (bond 4)
Yrs does mention that we will be dealing with our flute soonish, so I would rather wait on that than spend a limited slot on something now.Maybe Ling Qi should start focusing more on her offense?

Yeah, I am already talking on discord about other ideas flying around but I don't feel like making a proposal that maybe we will not need, I conform myself with sharing input on their ideas.
Not quite, D rank qi regen only works if Elegy is used on him, wich LQ rarely does. Also B3 Qi is a really low considering that his most potent techs is B rank as well. Even D rank is too slow, what is to say about F rank, and even that only works if he isn't moving. But you are partly right, I guess giving him flat increase to Qi might be more impactful. It would allow him to use the same techs for a lower price. While I like the idea, that's probably overkill. Here are his stats in terms of Qi.
You'll notice that he has F rank qi regen while not moving and D rank qi regen when Ling Qi is around. Combine that with an E rank qi regen from one of his techs, and he is rocking F, E, and D rank qi regen all throughout the fight. Which, while individually not particularly potent, combined means he can get a ton of qi back in longer fights, which are the types of fights that Ling Qi and Zhengui excel at.
Stacking even more qi regen won't likely meaningfully impact his ability to take and dish out damage, as well as the control aspects he has. In all of his fights, that I can remember at least, it wasn't his qi that gave out first, it was his ability to stop the opponent from quickly doing damage to him. But that has mainly been against those of higher stage and skill than him, like Wao and Sun Liling's spirit.
You're right in that the D rank qi regen works when Elegy is active, but it does not need to be used on an ally of Bond 4 or greater to get the effect. As long as the technique is being used, our allies of Rank 4 get that D rank qi regen. Not quite, D rank qi regen only works if Elegy is used on him, wich LQ rarely does.
