Oh boy. I have a bad feeling about this vote. I'm still gonna go with it anyway.

Internal unrest versus demonising the nomads tribes. I favour the latter to keep our internally stability going. We aren't going to be getting rid of our nobility anytime soon thanks to them being our bureaucracy because our nobles and civil service/pencil pushers are one and the same. Right now, in our current situation and tech level, we need the nobility to maintain our civ. Losing most of it is what caused the Collapse in the first place.

[] With depression and defeated resignation. (.5x)
[] With Fury and Outrage! (1.5x)

Accepting the reality of the situation and moving on versus denying the truth and attempting to reclaim lost glory that is no longer within our reach for the foreseeable future.

I would rather not rock the boat after we just finished, especially when we just finished fixing it. I would also like to acknowledge that the Old Ymaryn Empire is gone and move on rather than denying reality and foolish trying to reclaim something that no longer exists. I'll admit I'm biased with the second vote as RL has left me somewhat fed up with reactionaries and 'alterative facts' to vote for them.

We are not DONE though. I fear this vote will cost us Hathytta because it will be too hard to motivate a depressed and exhausted people to fight a war.

Rather we not have a depressed civ. No one will be letting us get out of our depression before sloping a knife in our backs. The nobility due to wanting to get rid of that arrogance mod, we will not get screwed over like the Hung.

Tone down the arrogance just a little bit and inspire the People to rebuild and retake what was lost. At least what is left of it.

Information from the discord:

AranfanToday at 20:06
its a values vote
going from DGE to Arete won't destroy or remove the nobility

jamie96969Today at 20:07
Oh, so this isn't voting on what people will do and more on what they belive?

AranfanToday at 20:07
ye

OshhaToday at 20:11
What about the second vote @Aranfan? What value does that effect?

And with that information, I'm changing my vote.

I want to downgrade the stupid value since it won't hurt our nobility/bureaucracy, but I am unsure of the second vote because I don't want to lose PSN, but Revauchism is going to be limiting.

The depression option is terrible, it removes our stewards of nature trait while the anger one gives us the negative trait revanchism, so please pick anger.

Well, more a degradation of PSN than losing it entirely. It's too highly evolved and deeply entrenched to actually get rid off. But yeah. PSN is screaming that the Yllython and Hathytta and Thunder Plataeu are lands that the People have invested thousands of years of effort into improving and ITS THEIRS DAMNIT. REE.

Interesting choices and combinations here...

Putting blame on the nobility can create a potential shatter point that can be taken advantage of in the future by outside forces, it also creates a divide between the common people, and depending on the emotional reaction - anger could set us on the path to a bloody revolt while resignation would overall affect our people's morale and happiness.

Blaming nomads would further entrench the people's hatred of nomads to the point that it could develop into racism in the future, especially if the anger reaction is chosen while resignation would result in at least being suspicious of all nomads.

Honestly, there are a lot of far-reaching consequences here...

Do we need the anger to further the momentum of bringing the fight to the nomads? What are the chances of getting out all that rage while the people are fighting? Honestly, we need our nobility right now as they are helping to keep this nation together. I don't want to rock the boat too much that it ends up capsizing.

PSN? Personal Stewards of Nature or... can we get our values listed somewhere, @Aranfan? Been a while since Paths and I'm not about to go all the way back to the thread to try to figure out what traits we had and how they might translate to what you're doing here.
