I mean theoretically Ling Qi could pull a Bai and create a dragon-blooded family right?

I mean, somewhere in the multiverse, I guess...................

There are more than a million humans for every one of us. Our divinity is tainted and the power of the Gods sealed beyond the Father's Hearth. The Decrees are heavy upon our necks."

Heizui cringed, pawing at the river mud, to speak aloud of the great shame
Did one of the great spirit's patch reality to nerf dragons?
The way she talks makes it sound like dragons have their capability of being revered as gods artificially restricted.

Well, get your adventuring gear ready then. 'Cause last I looked the Purrifying Sun going kaboom had a negative effect on the pheonix population in the Empire, you might need to find some new ones :V

It had only been a temporary defeat, Heizui wanted to say, but he thought better of it. "We are their betters though," Heizui muttered.

"We are," Qingshe rumbled, and she sounded tired, if only for a moment. "It takes many, many thousands of humans to produce an individual who may match our natural might, and hundreds of thousands or more to match the greatest of us."

"Yet, Heizui," she said, fixing her gaze upon him. "There are more than a million humans for every one of us.

Huh. That is an interesting view on how scary humans are. Sure, dragon's get born millionaires and get richer by sheer inevitability and age, but every single human gets born with a lottery ticket with a potential payout of up to a billion, and so their civilisation are greater by sheer statistics of the number of lottery tickets to the point the odds end up being against the dragons by sheer number of gambling pulls humanity as a whole gets.

We have three spirits already, adding more will become prohibitively expensive after a while. Unless we find or develop an art that makes more spirits practical, IIRC there are arts that interact with a cultivator's spirits.
