Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Do we even have room in our schedule for that though? Just saying, from what I've heard from Math Cabal, we don't have room in our cultivation schedule for deviations.
The problems with BGR are meridians and tech redundancy more than anything.

If we really want something we have more than enough room for it - god know cultivation is way easier than we expected it to be.

the second technique is basically: use enemy attack as fuel for a self-healing spell. I don't think it'd synergize well with any other defensive technique, since adding a defence means effectively preventing the incoming Qi from approaching which then obviously can't be used as fuel.
And I don't know how the art would interact with our domain. It also raises questions like: Should we get an art just to try and combo with one piece of our domain? Normally I would say no. But death saves are so powerful. Being able to have group death saves is incredible. Having repeatable group death saves feels oppressive. Which is sort of what a control cultivator seems to want to do.

I don't know if BGR is the best art to get multiple death saves, but it was the first art that I remembered having group healing. I don't know if its the best option, I don't think it's the only option. But, I do think being able to get multiple group death saves is so powerful and oppressive it's worth talking about.

Mainly voting for this because I feel like the duration lends our Active Domain more weight when it's used, and the nature of the technique pushes Ling Qi's Domain being her own private world a little bit harder.

Its other tech also gives allies as much regen healing as Zhengui's healing tech does, as a duration tech. Plus qi regen! It's pretty nifty, honestly.

At level one.

My feelings towards BGR: Either replace it with SNR or forget about it. While it doesn't fit in the role just as well as SNR will, BGR makes up for it through regen (kinda like how Zhengui tanks really)

Also it seems that Impenetrable Mist is winning....too much

guess I know what that means

[X] Enlightenment's Unbreaking Mirror: B

Time to switch :V

More seriously while I'm still partial towards Mist, I've warmed up to Mirror's tech even though I still disagree with its narrative role. So I don't mind either winning

[X] Thousand Year Impenetrable Mist: B

I like the narrative potential of this one better though I agree that EUM probably works better mechanically for the upcoming tournament.

If we manage to gank or otherwise capture the G7 then chances are Ling Qi and Renxiangs Sect Ranks should shoot way past what they were at previously

Possibly far enough to get ahead of schedule in terms of Elder tutoring and cultivation sites

Not that we arent likely to see an impressive bump as things stand, but if we down the G7 here Ling Qi and Renxiang will be responsible for more or less taking two out of the three factions present at this meeting off the table entirely by themselves, barring backup at the end to help wrap up the job

Shuan is doing work, but the ones doing the heavy lifting here are pretty clearly the two of them.

That along with securing the Starstone will be really hefty MILITARY GAINZ for the pair.

I'm calling it, and I hope I'm wrong, but the Shishigui is going to get away if the Mirror counter doesn't stop him. A second encounter is gonna be just as, if not more costly than the casualties we may get without the Mist.

Itd be an indirect second encounter at best

Chances are they'd recycle the dude after this to produce a G8 or Cyan Shishigui with a similar build and capability

He's probably going to get away regardless - our Bardbarian nemesis getting resolved by a bunch of nameless Sect mooks + Zhengui support in a couple of offhand lines seems suspect from a narrative point of view.

It's possible that Bardbarian could get captured to be interrogated and recur that way, but it's somewhat of a stretch compared to the G7 managing to get away with him or something else going wrong with the Sect's plan.
