[X] Attempt to lead Sinduramon and the others to other teams as a stalling tactic.

You were about to say something Schwartz about the mission but got cut off.

I really doubt we'll be able to negotiate, Pit already asked us to stand down and we refused. He's not gonna let us get deleted but that's it

Man, Sparks can be pretty scary at times.
Yep. He plays comic-relief a lot, but without Verge he's a lying, cheating, bastard with few morals beyond a laughable idea of heroism, an insane intellect, and an enormous ego.
Those are those Crystals that explode, aren't they?
Yes. the "Q" Chikarax. Refined and purified, and in this case made into gemstone form.
God dammit Sparks....
I'm glad that's a thing, hehe.

I always worry when I see Beat's stats cause I remember that there is a legendary warrior out there that probably wants him dead. Part of me really hopes he's just been stuck as a champion or something but that's wishing too much.

He *praised* falling into a sweeping bow before the sweating Aeigochusmon.
Aegiochusmon and colored punctuation mark.
"Whence this dreadful event ends justice should be done swiftly upon that horrid slug of a Tyrannmon.
Tyrannomon.
That seems to get through to your bother, whom sighs and steps back.
Brother.
"Citicens of Caputal Tyranno! Your morn has been long, your ruler's betrayal vast! But hearken now to my words!"
Citizens.
Sinduramon compliments your friend, lightly patting his back with a wing.
"Now to execute my rescue place."
Plan.
In between blocking stray attacks, you catch sight of the Wargrowlmon charging out into the city, abandoning your duty so he can revel in battle.
WarGrowlmon.
"Vajramon! Clear it away! Pit commands spreading his open palms out towards the crowd.
Not in Pit's Gold.
The Knight-Commander doesn't give a verbal reply, instead simply charging towards the water-pumping plant and raising his baldes.
Blades.
" A Floramon shouts, only to flinch as your one-yed gaze falls upon her.
One-eyed.

We made a promise to fight Pit last. let's at least try to keep it.

"Right away my prince." The altered Angewomon answers melodically, pulling free a round golden construct from her person. Sparks' eyes followed along, noting exactly where her hands disappeared inside her clothes. "Whence this dreadful event ends justice should be done swiftly upon that horrid slug of a Tyrannmon. Dear mother would have been incensed by his destruction of the land."
So her lineage came from a woman digimon, and this focus on nature... This Angewomon's mom is Ceresmon.

You frown, pondering the Floramon's words. "Going*... retreating… running. That's a distasteful action to be sure, but Sinduramon made himself clear. Once this evacuation is finished (which will be soon) he'll be attempting to wipe out your team now that it's splintered. Being defeated here would mean failing your duty, and that's far worse than simply fleeing.

Rgh… better to retreat now, and defeat him later.

The fact that he's forcing you to run should be infuriating but… right now everything is being felt through a sort of almost numb filter.

"Ser Schwartz." You intone, snatching the Duskmon up by his waist. "We must... do as she says." With those words spoken, you hop up into the air then kick, launching yourself towards the protective dome of holy fire.

Pit opens one mouth in surprise, but his exclamation goes unheard as you crash through the flame barrier. The Dark Knight at your side is protected from the worst of the baneful energy, but he still hisses as a section of his left leg gets badly singed.

"What was it you were speaking of before regarding the other piece of information?"

"Ow… yeah uh, some of the central buildings here are rigged to like, explode?"

… explode? Why?!

"I dunno." He says with a shrug. "Prior briefing didn't speak of a... reason."

Rgh…

"I need you to assist me in finding a team powerful enough to-"

The sudden appearance of a missile barrage forces you to spring left. An entire team launches a second barrage as you *land* but at this point it's relatively easy to simply outrun their attacks… which puts you into the firing path of twinned Assaultmon and Tankdramon.

You're forced to turn, taking the barrage on your back in a bid to protect Schwartz.

Rgh! They're joining forces against me.

With a snarl you run past this group as well, which finally allows you time to finish your sentence.

"-hinder Sinduramon, but I do not wish to pit him against our target."

"I'll try... GrappLeomon you should watch out for those Mistymon."

Mistym-

The thought gets interrupted as four blazing swords appear seemingly out of thin air and stab the gaps between your leg armor. None of the cuts manage to get very far past your skin, but the damage alone is annoying.

On reaction you manage to reach out with your empty hand and pluck up one of the magic-using mon with your free hand then-

= Choose One

[] Crush him for the data.
[] Fling him away.

"GrappLeomon, I've got a few um, somethings."

"Speak." You snap, parrying aside the berserk blade of a Knightmon using your forearm. A backhand crumples in his(?) cuirass and sends the Ultimate tumbling down to the ground.

"First, the total poseurs are over yonder in the north." He starts as you twist away from a Mechanorimon's Gazer Beam. "And there's like, another weaker group trying to hide their power in the city center?"

Another team there? Jūoudaken! I did not sense them…

Your wrath-powered fireball crashes into the machine digimon's torso, burning a fist-sized hole through it in short order. Its Pumpkinmon pilot falls from the fading mech a moment later.

"Any others fitting my request?"

"Sure, there's four guys that are uh a… little bit stronger? By the south. And something that I think is a team nearby?"

"You cannot sense them?" You ask, leaning aside to let a lone Giga Destroyer missile pass, before then snatching its twin from the sky.

"Yeah kinda." He nods as you come out of the spin and hurl the projectile back at its progenitor, enveloping the dinosaur in an explosion. "There's a whole bunch of mon being deleted around there, but my senses can't uh, pinpoint the cause of their demise."

"Hrm." Another MetalTyrannomon charges up towards you with a roar, however a single punch is enough to shatter its metal jaw.

=== Choose One:

[] The Gloaming team, they're probably intending to fight Sinduramon and your friends anyway.

[] That hidden team Schwartz mentioned, mostly because you're annoyed they're hiding from your senses.

[] That *little bit stronger* team by the south side. They should at least be able to put up a fight, even if they'll lose. It should buy you enough time to reunite with Thresh without Sinduramon's interference.

[] Attempt to use that team Schwartz can't sense. They're likely machine digimon, and strong ones at that. They should be more effective against a holy type like Sinduramon.

===AN: Not the longest I know, but I didn't have a full update in me today. Apologies.

[X] Crush him for the data.

Hey if they're not helping the victims and innocents, they're part of the problem.

No opinion on what team to use as a distraction, will wait for more discussion. Leaning Gloaming team if only to get rid of a potential hassle we know would be a hassle.

As why not have this fight sooner rather then later?

We will not suffer Ninjas, or Assassins. No opinion on the Mistymon.

[X] Fling him away.
Don't know this guys story, he might or might not have participated in the carnage earlier but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and instead subject him to being yeeted out of here.

Either this or the machines. I want to give Sparks as much set up time to screw with the Gloaming as he can and let them tire themselves out like he's planning.

That's a Mystimon and that choice is...unusual Verge is already beyond the point of flinching because an enemy shares the same species as an ally

Shenanigans be afoot in Drexal's mind
