Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Part of it is probably also that Ling Qi doesn't really pay attention to people not on an upwards trajectory.
Pretty much none of the people she knows about would have been trying to sit this one out, rather than trying to make a name for themselves, cause they're either her highly competetive yearmates, members of a count clan or at least part of their posse or rando duel opponents Ling Qi recently inspired/helped out.
Can someone please post me to posts showings how our upwardly mobile friends have risen in the past so I can compare and estimate how many people have left the rankings.

Very very basic assumption: Meizhan isn't likely to have generally "lost" relative rank: ie: if 7 people above her died or left and she only went up 6, that means in a relative sense she actually went DOWN one. (Though I guess it might be more like 8 because Sun Liling passed her) So I think we can say that at most 6-7 people above the rank of 712 died or left.

Considering the general upward mobility of our friends it suggest that very very few people have left the sect. Du Feng went up 17 ranks which assuming that he is at least treading water means that only 17 people above 805 left the sect.

Ninja Spreadsheet: Does that include the most recent change?

I just think it makes the most sense for the narrative.

The upper ranks of the Inner Sect had invested decades into the Sect, they're pretty much committed.

Its the Outer Sect and the few nobles who're here just "for the experience" that would be withdrawn, and even then, they might try to tough it out if they aren't the family heir. Don't want to look like they're fleeing after all.

Alright there's some parts of this update that are genuinely unclear to me.
You know that climbing the realms of cultivation requires sacrifices, things cast aside. What you place in your domain weapon is something which will remain with you always
While the first and second sentence don't exactly contradict, it doesn't clearly describe the process of integration either. What exactly will LQ be casting aside/sacrificing, by ensuring parts of FVM will remain with us forever? @yrsillar Idk if answering that would be too spoilery but can you clarify things?

Also including deaths as a reason for leaving.

Uh...thought it was pretty clear. She's giving up the ability to ever let go of the FVM Insight. She will always believe in pressing through suffering to achieve beauty, and no matter how her domain changes it'd remain.

Well I wasn't the only one who wants clarification, I know I saw someone say something similar a few posts back.
