"Verge… want my help with this one?" Sparks uncertain voice cuts through the tension. Thresh flinches as if struck, followed by his pupils narrowing into angry slits.
Another thing to keep in mind guys, is that Repulsa isn't on the field right now, so if Sparks is kept in reserve so to speak he could run counter on her when she shows up.
Since otherwise everyone's hands will be busy and she could get a free attack on a distracted teammate when she flies in.
An if she is anywhere near Verge's level, that could be very bad.

I know that normally that's true, but Sparks is an odd case because if you do it that way it looks like its the plural of "spark" rather than a name, even if its capitalized (especially if it happens to be the first word of a sentence).
The bigger issue though is that there's no apostrophe at all.
[X] Accept: The sooner Thresh is defeated and bound the better.
Everyone has a point, but I think it's best to start with POWER OF FRIENDSHIP and get off on our best foot. At any rate, as mentioned by the others, this isn't a battle to win with strength alone. We're gonna need to shonen the fuck outta this.
Okay, so Sparks has a basically uncountable number of fire spells, almost as many lightning, and his Wisemon tricks. We have our own bs, and a new fighting style that'll work well in this battle. Up against us is Thresh, who in addition to being our lil bro, is also incredibly powerful and extremely skilled in his own right. However, we've already started to knock him off his game when Sparks mentioned our name, and the longer this fight lasts, the better that gets. The objective is to kick his ass until he ceases to be an idiot. In other words, until he recognises us and stops the fight. If that isn't looking likely, we just kick his ass and hit him with those spiral things. Secondary objective is to get this done asap so we can give Beat an assist, he won't defeat Luna alone. Tertiary objective is to stay as fresh for Count as we can so we can finally kill the fucker.
Ideas?
Well, we have a big, bulky and tough target who's slower than us, a Wisemon with assorted bs, and the biggest, nastiest punch of all time which needs a long windup. The solution is obvious. However, that might be harder than it sounds. Anyone else got something?
[X] Decline: You'll fight your brother alone, Sparks can be of more use elsewhere.
Verge is pretty well suited towards this kind of fight- single combat against a massively strong enemy. Sure, Sparks would probably tip the scales in our favor by a lot and open up at least a few more diplomatic paths, but at the same time Thresh isn't the only enemy on the field. Sparks' abilities make him a massive wildcard even besides his personal power, so let's keep our casualties to a minimum and free him up to help someone who has a fight they're less suited to.

Your data boils with the thought of fighting a proper duel with Thresh. It's everything your sense of honor strives for, but that gives way before logic and duty. Personal satisfaction doesn't matter here, your brother needs to be defeated with all haste.
"Aye, I would."
"Sweet, just gimme a second to..." The unlucky Growlmon that had been trying to pick himself up, is suddenly met with a thrown time-space sphere.
*Clink*
And just like that he's gone, trapped along with whatever else your friend has hidden away inside that… thing.
Thresh's expression of anger turns to astonishment, leaving you a brief moment to examine the surroundings.
By now most if not all the enemy champions have been defeated, thus leaving your fellow students and MarineDevimon to team up against the garrison leaders. Meanwhile, Beat and Groundramon have risen up into the air, attempting to chase after your sister.
That's good. It means there shall be no interruptions in the battle to come.
You take a step towards the enormous WarGrowlmon, meeting his eager stare with a cold, determined look.
The time has come.
Alternate:
"Hammer Edge!" Your brother's jets explode to life, working in tandem with a swift leap off that sees him closing in on you with a haste that is nearly instantaneous. His right arm lashes out in a crisp backhand, hurtling his wide pendulum blade towards your head at breakneck speeds.
You reply with equal ferocity, sweeping the slash up and away with a left backhand. In the same motion, your lead arm darts out, fingers bulging to disgorge a series of razor-sharp silver claws.
"Crescent Dawn!" The rending blow flashes between his open guard, reaching straight for his metal-lined throat. Instead of flinching back, or futilely attempting to block, your opponent comes forward into the hit, forcing your claws to instead scrape against his thick collar. And he doesn't stop there,
Thresh's chest slams into your pauldron, imparting enough force to push you a pair of steps away.
Sparks uses this opportunity to bathe the cyborg in flames, but your brother simply charges out of them, none the worse for wear. With an ear-rending howl his left arm shoots forward, seeking to impale your chest. In reaction your twist away and bend back, letting the chrome digizoid blade *merely* slice a deep furrow into your breastplate.
"Crud! Didn't expect him to be this tough!" Sparks shouts, as you parry a following claw-swipe.
Indeed. Defeating him will not be easy…
You're forced to step back yet again as Thresh continues his advance, throwing a continuous series of swipes, backhands, and thrusts. There's nothing tricky about this tactic, it's a simple use of his outstanding bulk, strength and speed to keep you on the retreat. Your normal method of dealing with this would be to interrupt him with a counter, but Thresh's ferocity is paired with remarkable skill. Something that could only be gained through months of constant practice.
The backslash set to take your head off does not overreach and ducking leads only into the path of a short swipe with his remaining claw. Blocking that with your forearm only leaves you to be shoved back again by his battering ram-like chest.
It's nearly overwhelming in a way but… as the seconds pass you begin to pick up the hints of something strange. His crisp, practiced movements may be powerful, but they're not truly heavy. While his never-ending attack is confident, the individual components don't carry enough kinetic energy to actually weaken your guard.
He's holding back from each attack, not overextending himself and leaving power in reserve while doing his best to keep you at a particular set of ranges. By refusing to truly commit like this it's almost like Thresh is... trying to fight a much smaller opponent?
You can make use of that.
"Oi! Say cheese ya overgrown lizard!" A cone of azure light blinks right past your head and crashes right into the BlackWarGrowlmon's face, or more specifically, his eyes. The constant assault on your being stops as he flinches away, buying you the needed time to take just one extra step back.
Acting on instinct, the blinded Demon-Dragon throws out another low thrust. His attack skewers the ground in front your feet, hitting exactly where you'd have rushed in had you been a much smaller digimon trying to get within melee range.
The reaction also leaves his head exactly where you need it.
"Vortex-" You rise up onto one leg, and pivot, lining up your bent leg at just the right angle, before snapping it straight. "-Kick!" The dorsal surface of your sabaton smacks into the side of his head with a potent *crack*, throwing his colossal body back a half step. Naturally you dive right in after him and bring back one wind-wreathed arm for a running strike.
Undaunted by the injury and temporary blindness, your brother plants his foot and returns with a weighty diagonal backslash, meant to throw back an advancing opponent. Of course, you simply have to move slightly to the side and twist to avoid it, leaving his attack to harmlessly whistle through the air.
Meanwhile, you're left advancing upon the perfect target of his muscled belly. So with another Howling roar, you stomp down and throw your left hand forward.
"Dash Knuckle!" Thresh folds over your fist, his body going temporarily limp from the sudden shock and pain. A part of you is concerned, apologetic even for causing so much pain, but that has been set aside for now. There's not a single ounce of hesitation as you rip the arm back and up, then use the leverage to bring your right fist towards his chin in a rising uppercut.
The Demon-Dragon's metal jaw bends upon impact, folding much like his body did as your fist continues upwards. Entire scores of tons provide resistance, but you push through it all and forcibly lift his body into the air with your strike.
Whilst he's certainly fast, and evolving has clearly granted him far more bulk and toughness thanks to the cybernetics, this new form has left him far less agile than before. There's no real way for him to snake out of the way as you begin to spin, readying an even more powerful strike-
"Megalo Spark!"
-which is why he instead answers by blasting you with twin blasts of yellow energy. The powerful twin blasts knock you out of the second rotation, with only your new sense of balance allowing you to catch yourself mid-air.
Thresh doesn't simply fall back down, the jets on his back fire off again, rocketing his bulky form towards your position in a mighty explosion of force. His eyes snap open to reveal not excitement, but with deadly intent.
"Double Edge!"His arms lift as one, joining together to form a single piercing blade.
You could dodge, there's enough time for it. But… something in your core Refuses to back down from this clash. Instead of dashing away you raise both hands up in defiance, reinforce the barriers underneath your feet and brace.
I am a Shield.
A familiar feeling trickles your body, the reinforcing energy of AVALON is weaker now, a shattered remnant of something much greater.
Thresh's blades slam into your open palms, driving through your gloves, cutting past fur and burrowing into flesh.
But that is where they stop.
His momentum dies down, leaving you wholly unmoved.
Then the instant passes and you're free to clamp down on the weapons edges, keeping them from driving forward.
Your brother growls, his entire body shaking, struggling to overcome your strength. A realization hits you, cutting through the loud whirring noise of turbines. You're stronger than he is.
It's not a vast difference, but as the seconds drag on you gradually begin to push him back. A silver blur strikes out over his shoulder, darting towards your remaining eye. On reaction your neck jerks to the side, which is followed by a sudden sensation of pain from your left cheek.
A sleek and dexterous blade retracts back over your brother's shoulder, nearly drawing your attention away from the massive energy building within his gunports. You can't properly dodge, not while holding back his blades like this and between that blade and his chest-mounted weaponry… he's engineered a situation where you can't avoid damage.
Or at least that would be the case if you were fighting alone.
"Greater Sparkling Thunder!"A bright blue tendril of electricity snakes around your side and plunges directly into the hole where his attack is supposed to exit. Your brother's torso rumbles, suddenly, smoke pouring out from both barrels as the built up energy is detonated inside him.
"Atemigaeshi!" In that moment of pain and weakness you drop, twist and let him come forward all at once. The surprised cyborg tumbles over your side, only to be pulled straight into the ground. While the impact itself doesn't deal any damage, it does leave him vulnerable to a following Winning Straight right to his forehead. His eyes roll back, stunned, leaving you the perfect opportunity to start building up power and momentum.
You rise up onto your toes and begin to whirl around, gaining more and more power with each consecutive rotation. Once, twice, thrice, a shrieking vortex of lilac wind surges to life around your body on the very last spin as each turbine reaches its limit.
The space around your clenched hand warps, bending light itself as the gravity around it notably distorts. As it flashes down towards the red hazard symbol, two inexplicably calm words leave your mouth.
"Shishi Jūhazan." [The King Of Fists]
A vast screech erupts through the air as Thresh's torso is pulled into the descending fist, warping the thick metal inwards. The impact travels throughout his armor in a visible ripple, ripping chunks of the black metal asunder and bending his boosters into a nearly unrecognizable mess.
The Air Is Calm.
You pause as the damage trails off, waiting to see if that was finally enough to incapacitate him.
Then the cyborg's jaw drops open and expels a steam of crimson flames. You jerk back from the surprise attack, but it still manages to singe the fur of your face. Thresh wobbles back to his feet, dazed, hurt, but unwilling to stand down. You make ready to attack again-only to look away as a new series of energy signatures enter the fray.
A trio of Phantomon hover into the air above you, scythes at the ready and chains whirling around. The leading ghost in particular draws your attention, its body a veritable fountain of ghastly power.
Spirits below, reinforcements...
He takes a slow look around, first eyeing Groundramon's ice-covered form, then moving on to examine the paused fight between Orochimon and your master's students. Finally he settles on the destroyed base's center, where your sister is standing on the JewelBeemon's unmoving body.
"Lord Fantomon!" The Crescemon's surprised voice rings out, as she quickly abandons the insect digimon in favour of greeting the new arrival. "I was not aware you were coming."
"Yes… well, my curiosity was piqued after Lord Count was late to our meeting. I have always known him to be the punctual sort." He explains, eyes flashing with sudden mirth. "But I didn't think it would be because of an ambush."
"Lord Fantomon I assure you that disposing of these wastrels is well within my capabilities, you need not sully your hands on them." The heiress remarks scornfully, pointing towards the frozen Dramon.
"Tsk, tsk, perhaps… but it pays to be practical in these matters." The smaller Ultimate replies, before raising up his scythe. "Minions, hunt." The other members of his species don't utter responses, they just fly down towards your fellow students.
"Hey Verge, mind if I go kick that ghost's uppity butt?" Sparks asks, pulling his hood back over his head.
Thresh is already weakened… and he cannot cause major damage now in any case.
"Very well, may you possesses fortune in this battle."
"Luck? Naw, don't need it." He chuckles, tossing his red orb up before snatching it out of the air.
"Eehee! It seems I have a challenger!" The Lord *wails* in amusement. "Lady Crescemon, be a dear and handle that brute for me, I don't wim him spoiling my fun."
Your sister begins to nod-then jerks aside just before Beat's spear tears up through the air she'd just been occupying.
"I am… not finished… with you."
Leaving you alone with Thresh once more.
===Choose One:
[] Try to take him down with a knockout. Mayhaps you could even surprise him with Tandem Burst.
[] Wear him down by breaking his body. It's time to see how the flames of wrath interact with your turbines.
[] He's weakened now. This could be your chance to try and jog his memory.
===Authors Note: I hope yall enjoyed the Fight! This thing took me a while to write but I'm happy with it.
[X] Try to take him down with a knockout. Mayhaps you could even surprise him with Tandem Burst.
While I really really really want to try to jog his memory, I also don't want to risk dragging things out. I won't be upset if attempting to jog his memory wins though.
