Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Spirit Ken is the clear thing to train. We wanted more of it to take advantage of +es but couldn't fit in the dice, now we have the dice to improve it. As for the formatting that ship seems to be sailing, but if one thing wins I'm sure Yrs will just use it for both dice.

he shouldnt do it though. in this case the formating

[] War

implies 1 die to war, not two. This is not just a case of poor formating, but of actively wrong formating.

Also the moratorium isnt even over yet, so the ship is far from sailed.

All said, I am mostly swayed by war arguments, even though I put my omake point to Spirit Ken.

The reason is kind of complicated. We don't really need high War (yet anyway), as we are not on a situation where we control people meaningfully. We are mostly an elite commando-type of gal. Seriously, taking multiple people of the same realm is no small feat in a universe where numbers matter (even with stealth and recuperation). However, if we are to continue to fight, we need our War to be at least D or C. The reason is simple: we'll end up in more and more war scenarios, and if we are to act meaningfully enough to turn the tide, we need to be able to determine what our guys are doing and what their guys are doing. For that reason, even if high war is not something I'll go for (yet, at least), we need to enter the express train for mediocre war, or end up flailing around semi-ineffectually the next time something happens, or worse, lose a battle because we underestimate the importance of yellow interlocking buffs. And btw, I am not fearmongering, I am describing what happened and what nearly happened during this arc's first confrontation.

Basically, I would say that while FVM shines when it comes to bullying a large group of lower level people and negating some of their leader's support abilities, IPF is flat out better when it comes to surviving a large group of enemies and negating a few DPS.
That's fair. My argument would be that basically any scenario where we're fighting a large group is going to involve most of them being lower level than us. And at that point deploying our large scale aoe abilities like FVM and BKSD is likely to be the best option.

As I noted, large group of enemies can have their multi attack bonus scale hard after a while. So while FVM would be our best bet to debuff them if we have our own allies, IPF would be much better to not get ganked by a hundred archers focusing on us, and FSS would be better for actually killing them.

Ok, here is what I am going to vote for:

[]Plan: Painting with Sixiang
-[] 2 Art

ok and here is my reason:

Back during the Sixiang arc we had this:
It seemed awfully limiting, to ignore all other forms of expression in favor of music. Smiling, Ling Qi crouched, plunged her hands into the multihued waters and submersed herself into the dreams of a millenia worth of creative souls.

moment where LQ noticed that there is more to art than music, and what did we do with this insight? Nothing! and this was the result:

she glanced down at her work to buy a moment to compose her reply, noting with some frustration how clumsy her own project looked compared to theirs. The snowflake pattern that she was working at was good for mortal work, but it seemed dull compared to the shifting pattern Meizhen was working on, or the nigh living butterflies that fluttered across the pale blue cloth of Cai Renxiang's piece.

This turn we are training the Songseeker Ceremony which happens to be a Moon art with an Art keyword. So this turn we can train art at +3 per roll, so I say we take these 2 points and invest them in some character/art development for Ling Qi.

Man, I hope that some of the Elders take note of what Su Ling did here. Protecting the little people is going to look really good for the Sect and seeing their outer sect members do it on their own is going to look even better.

I would not be surprised if there will be some public thanks and congratulations to Su Ling and GG in the near future.
My guess is this is going to Factor in when they make Inner Sect soon enough, bonus CP and all. Though I don't doubt there will be some other reward for them, such as Su Ling being given some help with exploring her insights to better understand and train her domain. Gan will probably garner some legitimacy for his orderly methods since the Sect pretty clearly has decided that the Outer Sect needs to cool its heels for a while, personal guess is via the use his faction as baby guards and messengers for the outer village/houses since Gan's big thing was basically organizing a mini-militia.

Seems like a whole bunch of people completely forgot about the two hour moratorium with this last update.

I completely forgot about it because my brain didn't consider it a "real" vote. I went back and edited my vote for proper formatting and took out the x's.

Moratorium is over... I want to vote but... I am unsure of the right format to... should I vote war twice? vote for "2 War"? or simply vote War?

I'd say naths's example is the best one to follow:

if you guys need to ignore the moratorium and vote without discussion, then can you at least format the vote properly? here is the current skill plan as you can see we get 2 Skill points to assign, which means we can either get 1 Attribute die or 1 advanced Skill die or 2 normal Skill dice...

Edit: War trains at +1, so you can give it one * in your plan @picklepikkl

I think including the *s is unnecessary for this, since it would require people to go back and calculate what dice bonuses apply to each skill, and I'm going to be completely honest here: I don't know how to do that off the top of my head.

... Does a vote need *s ? Gaaah, I never participated in a skill vote before, no idea what these are... how much should I edit into my plan?

Fair. I guess we can just fix this during the actual training update, if neccessary.

I was more talking about those who had voted in the past hour or so* who apparently didn't catch the memo, but it's not a big deal.
Just kind of amusing.

*at the time of my previous post.

[X]Plan: Painting with Sixiang

I think people are misunderstanding the Sect's situation right now: the Sect LOST that fight. They lost an Elder.

[X] Plan: Pokemon
-[X] War*
-[X] Spirit Ken**

A trainer must know both her pokemon and how to use them in battle.

I am voting this way because I want Art, and out of respect for the tally, but let it be known on the record that injecting a bunch of complication with plan names and asterixes into a literally single word vote was a shameful and vile sin upon all of questdom. This vote is made under the greatest duress.

Edit: With only spite in my heart, I must revise my position
