With the idea being not to use her strengths, but to give her means to work on her weaknesses.

Worth mentioning that Hanyi already has Presence/offense and Manip/CC options in FSS and LWM respectively, but whatever SCS analogue she had last year got blown up along with Zeqing, leaving her with no mobility or defense art-wise.

Can't hide under Zhengui forever in a fight

I hope we get Yu Nuan a Moon spirit!

Honestly, two of these options just sound like they're copying Hanyi's older 'family members'.

[] A bombastic and overbearing piece (Damaging, Yang, Presence)
-This sounds like Hanyi's natural leanings.

[] A beautiful and alluring piece (Control, Balanced, Manipulation)
-Copying Hanyi's mother.

[] A quiet and melancholic piece (Defensive, Yin, Composure)
-Copying Ling Qi.

Makes sense. I guess I'm trying to balance what's best. To allow Hanyi be herself (as Yu Nuan said, "If you're just copying someone else, of course you're bad") or to help her grow into something more. Because as much as letting her be herself appeals to me, Hanyi is kind of a brat. A lovable brat, but one all the same. Not to mention she's obviously depressed. So I'm really torn here.

I disagree, she's part of a team. Specialization is desirable even beyond my sense of amusement.

I know what some of those words mean! I guess it goes to show that I indulge more into the narrative than all the number crunching and specifics.

She can be a bombastic brat and still grow to understand there are limits though and if she's depressed I say cheering her up by teaching her to remember the good times is better than just being quiet and melancholy IMO.

Specialization is sorta an inevitable part of going up the cultivation totem pole, and well Hanyi is part of a team so it makes sense.
