Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
On the one hand, a spirit of vengeance and destruction is warning us something may be dangerous. On the other hand, how much are commoners and peasants really gonna know about what's going on? And if we see spirits attacking commoners, are we gonna fight the spirits then? Get both sides mad at us?

Ugh, so much for killing the Prince to silence him about our allegiances. Ah well, we've made our bed, and we're not bad with spirits. This may be a bad decision, but let's keep going and see what happens.

It's kind of annoying how undecisive LQ was, if I knew she'd act this way I'd have just voted for the neutral option in the first place.

Ling Qi isn't Shen Hu. Her direct liege is the daughter of a duke and is the best friend of another. This high up stuff is her business, and better to learn about this fucked up shit now in a dream than to need to take these kinds of lessons in the real world where the stakes are even higher.

[X] Go with Shen Hu, sometimes the unambiguous route is the best one.

Listening to warnings and good sense is the best.

Yeah, when the guy we did a good turn for says "Yeah, you probably don't want to be here when the King arrives", you should take his advice.

And very, very curious. He's Weilu--but Weilu who flagrantly forsook their covenant with the Moon, given what we saw of his sigil and what came afterwards. That's not something we knew about in history, all we knew is that their Sublime Ancestor fucked off and a little ways afterwards, they all up and vanished as one. You'd figure that the Weilu literally writing their own death warrant by forsaking a covenant with one of the Biggest of the Great Spirits openly enough to change their colors would be a point of historical note, huh?

Plus, once we jumped him, his assumption is that we had an organization behind us, one with actual Elders--and not just a lucky loose cultivator in pre-imperial days.

Man, this shit is fascinating even as it's disturbing. At any rate though, I suspect from the perspective of our patron, we made the right choice here, even if it's going to buy trouble that's going to be hefty over the course of this event.

I don't disagree with Shen Hu doing this for Shen Hu. He's a baron scion and he's clearly opting out of continuing the story line to find something unambiguous... But we're not just any baron, we're the retainer of a ducal heir. We shouldn't opt out of doing the high level stuff or shy from ambiguity and actually find out what's going on from (one of) the leaders.

I always like meeting spirits and this being a dream hopefully makes it somewhat less dangerous.

I would say when a spirit of vengeance and anger tells someone who did them a solid that 'You probably don't want to be around when the big guy shows up', you should strongly consider vacating the premises

Part of what we're supposed to be working on is our social abilities in high society. This is probably the best training/test we're going to get that doesn't involve potential damage to Cai or death.

Hail the King of the Forest!

Now is the time to obey the mandate of protect the civilians from spirits and other 'immortals'. Plus if these guys (than even their progenitor had distance himself from them) are burning 'resources' from their enemy we definitely should check the human 'resources '. For the same reason.
