Though in this case I don't think it'd descend to that level unless Xiulan has a very very thin temper caused by agony arm.

- Xuan Shi diplomancing (for Cai)
- Xuan Shi diplomancing (for us)
- Knowledge from his clan (even if it doesn't end up applying)
- Knowledge on Xuanwu
- Zhengui assistance
Couple more too, even though these do overlap in some areas. No need to involve Gu Xiulan, especially not for something as banal as lighting fires. I don't think we really need to spend focused time with her yet.
As for the mirror I'll remain silent for now. I don't know of any clear need to sell it or keep it at the moment.

Heirloom item to make a bitchin talisman out of is the only one I can think of. But we'd have to find a crafter after we leave the sect, who is willing to work with it, able to work with it, and trustworthy. So an entire mini-quest line, which has some worth, in and of itself.

We could use it to make some kind of anti curse equipment for our fief down the line. But that is a long time of.

Lan Lan is probably in breakthrough hell so not bothering her is probably good for now but I DO NOT want to let her sit on the back burner for long. I'll want to see her soonish to at least see how she is settling in.

Ah damn, this is annoying. I really want to take Xiulan, but it's a big gamble. One one hand, she appears to have been stuck with her physical breakthrough and doing more things to hep her feel better will help her. OTOH, seeing Zhengui get to green before her is going to to put a fire under her ass. It might help, it might not.

This just isn't true. Cultivation has a profound impact on the mind. They think faster and more clearly and can remember more precisely, which has a huge impact on their skill ceiling for academics. Note that our Intelligence is two ranks higher than peak mortal.
