[X] Plan The Serpent and the Slann
I think we have Old Ones strongly connected to these domains, so we should be careful there.- War, just straight up conflict and bloody murder. A Saurus equivelant for Sotek, maybe? Representing strategy, grand conflict, and just general controlled destruction. It's in the name of the setting after all.
- Magic, a way to establish the winds here in the mess of the 40k warp. We could have a set of 8 siblings gods, one for each wind, as well as a parent god? We could use the fog daemon as a makeshift womb for this, the same way some insects lay eggs in still living hosts and eat them alive as they grow older.
- Artifice, another obvious one, to help build the actual foundations of an empire (we wouldn't need it, but more help is good). Boosts tech and infrastructure.
that sounds dangerously close to the mind fog.Slann God of Restful Slumber and Guiding Communion.
Sends enemy psykers and sorcerors into catatonic slumbers, feeding off their mental power.
Provides Slann and lizardmen magic users with a clarity of purpose and peaceful meditation.
except its purpose was to explicitly pacify the slann. If we kept it around it is likely it would want to keep doing exactly that.Yes, I want to un-chaos it and slannify it XD. Don't want to delute it to far from it's purpose lol.
Yep. With our city actions going up those aren't as much an issue, while removal of the Mind Fog remains #1 priority.I'd just like to point out that plan Serpent and Slaan does not get us forging districts.
Every City we will build without getting Forging Districts up is going to cost us an action down the road. Not to mention locking us out of the Magical Equipment Forging Districts behind it.Yep. With our city actions going up those aren't as much an issue, while removal of the Mind Fog remains #1 priority.
*looks up from prophecies of events that won't even be a thing for multiple years at the rate this game updates* Huh? Yeah probably@Xantalos Now that there has been some discussion on it, I can say with complete certainty that prophecy was a mistake.![]()
For sure, though do note that it won't be exact because this stuff more affects the range of slann that have a chance to be freed from the fog, rather than guaranteed numbers. But let's see...@Xantalos when you have the time, could you math out how many 5th Gen Slann would be freed in my plan? Please and thank you.
Hard to say without having done it, though it could be seen as a reasonable speculation given what you know about Sotek.
The only real risk to attacking a fog that has more slann subsumed than usual is that it might be more successful at attempting to smother your attacking slann and put them to sleep. But that's only really a factor if you attack it from only that angle - pretty much every plan made thus far circumvents this by fighting it in at least 2 methods.I'm pretty sure we don't really have that risk right now, becuase we've finished all the research on it and wog is basically that our only further risk at this point is if we DON"T keep up the pressure once we start attacking it.
No worries, this won't happen or have any real detrimental effects - the most substantial thing I can see happening if you make an Old One expy into a god is that their mythology would feature said Old One either having a hand in creating said god, or being the sponsor/master of that god in turn. Something like that. Though I of course would encourage you to be as creative with your god designs as you can be, since I like writing about varied and cool things and I imagine you guys like reading about them.I think we have Old Ones strongly connected to these domains, so we should be careful there.
Don't want to mix up our makers and the gods we made in the minds of our people, right?

This is also partially because the fog has a tighter grip on the higher generations. It's easier to break free one 5th gen than it is one 4th gen.Man, those sorts of numbers...and the clear effectiveness of multiple angles of attacks, yeah I'm pretty set.
The potential for focus on Dispelling and hitting it with Sotek is enormous. I was thinking we'd be lucky to break the 5th Gen down to 45%!
