SO...I haven't been keeping up with the thread posts at all since the SV move.

Is there some kind of thread response that explains wtf has been going on with the last few updates in terms of randomness?

Or can it just be ascribed to Ambush Bug being the Trolling bastard love child between Deadpool and The Tick.

That is called "answering your own question."

if that carries over as "canon" for this fic and is really how paul gets the power to make more orange rings then it would be really bad. having 4th wall breaking be the source of major power ups and critical advancements in a character (beyond the initial setup) makes for an awful story.

I donb't think Paul has been turned into these other versions of Paul. He's been living days from the other versions of Paul, not their entire lives. If the other version has been around for a thousand years, he still only gets one day from the end of the thousand years; he doesn't get the whole thousand years. So he shouldn't have any of the other versions' abilities unless they are based on recipes that can be easily learned, and I don't think making a power ring is that easy.

Back when he was flashing back to Blue Paul, he flashed back to an incident that is in the past compared to where Blue Paul is now. If Paul lived entire lives of the other versions, that would mean that Paul is not only sent to other worlds but also to the past, and that even though Paul lived Blue Paul's life up to now somehow we're not seeing the more recent portions.

Just the fact that he's going to alternate futures, so the other versions of him were like him in the past, doesn't mean he gets every single thing that happened after the moment of divergence.

So here's what's bugging me about the whole thing. It's a question I need answered.

Does she wear the ring on her hoof or on her horn?

This is a necessary and important question that I need to know the answer to.

I would wear a power ring as a headband. (they are size-adjusting) Because then you don't lose it if your hand gets cut off and you can use it to keep your brain alive if your head gets cut off.

Actually? Remote controlling it from a severed hand is probably easier than keeping your brain functioning for an extended period with just a ring.

Really? Curious. Generally speaking, the most basic level of environmental shield is automatic to the point that it continues functioning even if the Lantern is unconscious; it's only sensible, really, since otherwise going to sleep or being knocked out on a planet with the wrong gravity, atmosphere, or temperature, not to mention underwater or in space, would be fatal. Bypassing the need for oxygen seems like it should keep the brain alive even absent the rest of the body; certainly it wouldn't be fun, but why would it not work?

He didn't say it wouldn't work, just that remote controlling a ring attached to your severed hand would be easier.

Basically, orange ring users have it relatively easy as far as stuff like that goes. Remote controlling rings is something that you can practise in advance. Imagine a Greenie trying to maintain perfect mental focus while piloting their own severed head. And you really want to get it right the first time.

He has been checking up on William Hand, but as far as he can tell the man hasn't committed any crimes yet.
Really? Was he just not through enough in checking, or is it different in this universe? Or... no, you said "the man", if it was gonna happen it happened already, 13yo is still the boy.

1001, Celestial Era.
Wow. Talk about dedication to something. Nearly thousand years. Wow.

Awesome snip.
Wonder how Celestia`s gonna fare.

Why can`t NM control the sun? In the end, it`s a star.

Very convincing, but a Dark Side sales pitch wouldn't be complete without cookies.
What cookies?! This is Paul we`re talking about here! He offers a giant cake, not cookies! :lol

At what point did you forget how the solar system funtions.

If NM moved the Sun in relation to the planet...she'd just kill everything.
