There's a rush of wind as Amane precipitates out of the air next to us. She's beaming, a not entirely sane glint in her eye. The armour I designed for her borrows from her preferred 'perky goth' style of dress. Decorative, but providing a sensible degree of protection. Though I was never going to make her the high heels which she wanted I compromised and gave the boots a bit more of a slant than the ones I wear have. Balanced over her shoulder and supported my her right hand is an Apokolips-tech scythe capable of cleaving through just about anything I was able to test it on.

There's quite a lot of blood on the blade and splattered across the left side of her face.

I stand. "Your revenge is complete?"

"Yes, Master."

Yeah, that was precisely what I expected and probably going to be horribly wrong in the future.

"Her smile heads..." surely? Unless she has more than one mouth to smile with?
Thank you, corrected.
So Misa perfectly learned how to use her newly gained superspeed in less then 26 minutes? o_O
Running fast is fairly instinctive. She didn't use any of the exotic skills Mister Allen has learned.
Typos: "things" "by"
Thank you, corrected.
The angle of the photo makes it hard to tell, but that outfit sports a considerable cleavage window.

Grayven's Genre Blindness is growing.
Darn it, I was trying to find a picture that didn't have that. Please assume that hers doesn't.

She may be a goddess of Speed and Death but she's certainly not a goddess of quick deaths. What kind of speedster is slow enough to let blood splash on them?

"Then you've saved them. You've saved more people than you would have by not killing."
Has anyone ever asked Batman, "You keep catching him. He keeps killing. How many times does this have to happen before you'd go after anyone else for being his accomplice?"

She must.. know that the blood's there, right? She isn't reacting to it, blinking or wiping it away.
She makes a tiny frown, then touches the left side of her face with her left fore and middle fingers before pulling them away and staring at the sticky red substance on the end in apparent surprise.
"Someone just opened a portal in Philadelphia. We don't know who they are or why they did it. We're going to have a quick look around and see if we can find out what's going on." Miss Amane moves her right hand to the haft of her scythe. I hold up my right hand to stop her.
So, just how many hints do make a Grayven clue bat?

Has anyone ever asked Batman, "You keep catching him. He keeps killing. How many times does this have to happen before you'd go after anyone else for being his accomplice?"

as has been discussed 3 or 5 times before, batman is nuts. He channels it as productively as he can, but he is fully convinced (rightly or wrongly) that if he gives an inch on his no kill rule he won't stop until the streets run red with blood.

There is also the counterargument that batman is doing his job just fine, its the courts that keep sending the near uncontainable mass murder to arkham rather than simply executing him.

Yeah Grayven did not look into that enough. There's more than one reason why his skin cells could have been there.

It's likely he did it, but Grayven just gave someone the means to commit premeditated murder on her own word alone, and gave a clearly not mentally sane individual super speed...He's become a stupid villain now that he's part of The Light, huh?

Edit: Wait, is this like an ultra-meta thing and this isn't actually from our Zoat, but from an alternate Zoat who's introducing anime characters for no reason and writing his Grayven as an edgelord who knows people are guilty because the author knows?

"Killing someone is a big deal, and… I know of no reliable way to reverse it."
Heh, I can picture his train of thought in that pause perfectly: "killing someone is a big deal, and you can't undo- oh, wait. Comic books. Never mind."

"Did I hear someone just call you 'master'? Am I calling at a bad time?"
...not sure whether her mind's in the gutter, or mine is. Or both.

"Lynne, stick with me and keep your eyes open. Look for anything out of the ordinary."

"You mean like us?"
:lol

Well, he doesn't have the magical chops to fill Klarion's shoes, so he defaulted into the Queen Bee shaped 'too dumb to live' hole.

The problem with getting really meta in your story is sometimes... nobody can figure out where the rabbit hole stopped.

He made her armor, and refused to give her heels.
You can be comfortably sure that if there's such a gap, there's armor underneath.
Paulven tends towards competence in military/paramilitary matters.

No, he didn't look into it enough.
No there isn't more than one reason why dude's DNA would be all over the house; shit doesn't just blow in on the wind.

But frankly, superspeed is one of the more overpowered skillsets there is, and Ms Amane as portrayed is not stable enough to be entrusted with it.
I will not be surprised to find that she will inflict collateral damage sooner or later, assuming she hasn't already.
