Man, this attitude sickens me. He had as fair a trial as he could be given. If a gunman is shooting up a school, do you expect the cops to calmly let themselves get shot trying to take him down non-lethally, so that you can parade him down to the courthouse all "nice and proper"?

I love Grayven's rebuttal.
I have seriously seen people argue that cops should have gotten in a fistfight with a guy swinging a conduit bender at a cop's head instead of shooting him.

I've also seen someone argue that a suspect would've been less likely to resist arrest if he hadn't been approached by a half-dozen cops, and they should've used just one, and he would've come quietly. As it was, they tried to take him down non-lethally, he got hurt, and this combined with his health problems to kill him. According to the person I was talking to, he was only fighting back because he was afraid the multiple cops would kill him. I pointed out that fighting only made it more likely that he got hurt. No response.

Despite the stereotypes about America, there are plenty of people who get really stupid about use of force, especially when cops were involved. Stands to reason there would be some in the WTR verse too.

I suppose Sphere is lacking in the orifice needed to enjoy a bar. Nonetheless I begin to suspect she has been Spherenapped.

Few things are as toxic for a society as a law that cannot be changed. Laws that were 'perfect' a century ago are highly unlikely to be perfect now.

Cut off is concerning. I had hoped Barda was beyond decking her brother-in-law unprovoked.

So did they finally find out he isn't the real Grayven?
Oh but he is the real Grayven. He just isn't necessarily the original Grayven.

Firstly, it's really nice to see that Grayven is becoming progressively more sane.
Secondly, my money is on the cause of his silence being the real Grayven waiting outside the bar.

Who else is betting that the cut off is cause Classic Grayven is outside waiting? Cause this totally seems the result of Scott and Barda trying to follow up on just what the hell kind of Apokolyptian Paul!Grayven is.

"-We're pregnant. And we want you to be the godfather."

And that's the story of why Grayven left Earth.
"Isn't Scott the godfather? I mean, Barda, I like you and all, but you're married."
Looks like he's just having fun scaring the locals, but the entire point of this visit is to make them comfortable with his presence, so that's totally counterproductive.
No, the main point is making them comfortable, but making jokes that nobody else finds funny is one of his continual projects.

Because then he'd have to provide them with proper training. Probably, from scratch. Also, he's a bit busy and already plans to do that once he leaves Earth.
Also, giving a single person powers, or even a group of people, doesn't do as much good as systematically improving something like power generation or inspiring people to study magic. For example, Kon can do a lot of things, but super strong heroes don't improve the world much, just stop it from getting worse.

Oh, and in regards to whether to have a segment of OL training Fire, I'm personally against it. Mainly because I want Fool's Canon to hurry up and get started, but also because I don't think it would be terribly interesting. It could be, I'd like to see how her power works, but on balance Fool's Canon getting here a day earlier is better.

So what you're *really* saying is that you'd prefer WTR finish a day earlier than it needs to (all else being equal). That I'll never agree with... I want every. single. episode I can possibly get.

I mean... the difference between like, 6 years of updates and 6 years of updates minus one day is pretty vanishingly small, you know?
